  1. Well, off the bat in Awakening I chose Chrom after accidentally having my F!Avatar marry him on my first playthough (I was rushing and forgot to get him an S-support with another character, whoops). Since then, it was either him, Virion, or Priam. As for the women, it tended to tie between Emmeryn, Sumia, Olivia, and Miriel. Child units were off limits to me. I found it too weird personally to marry off my first-gen Avatar to to a second-gen child. Skip to Fates and suddenly CHIN. Chin. Always Chin. How in the world did it happen that I grew fond of a justice-seeking ham? To the point of losing any interest in Xander? Doesn't matter, I'm sticking with Arthur. His personality is gold and his voice rather nice to listen to. Same with Benny and Asama. However, for the females I'm stuck between Scarlet, Reina, and Flora. All three are avatar-sexuals so no fear about skipping any child, but I was planning on Scarlet for Revelations in addition to Hoshido. Now I'm not so sure. Now if you excuse me, I'll be breathing in the sweet scent of justice on the battlefield.
  2. I originally voted for both Marx and Siegbert for the males, while my pick for the females will always be Crimson. Long live the Chevalier rebellion! Since I figure Marx will have the lion's share of votes compared to the other two I picked, I decided to switch to voting only for Siegbert. Noodle Lord can stand on his own with his staunch supporters. That, and he is a royal sibling who is all but guaranteed to snag a top spot in the poll. Sorry big bro, but I'll be voting for your son over you.
  3. I'm actually kind of glad I spoiled myself silly over the game's storyline, otherwise I would have been disappointed with the game immensely and sound like one of the old veteran fans who gripes that Fire Emblem isn't what it used to be. Still, it is rather sad that Nohr's revolution isn't what I had in mind, a possible callback to Thracia 776's storyline and a possibility to screw up in either path based on the decisions made in the battle and in-between chapters. Not to mention the possible political intrigue in both paths and maybe a look into the psyche of His Royal Pain in the Buttocks, King Garon. I really do hope IS learns from this (especially since they heavily advertised the story's quality) and tries for a better narrative with the kind of gameplay-story integration I remember seeing in previous games. (Maybe the leadership stars in Thracia 776 or acknowledging deaths as Blazing Sword or Path of Radiance did, even possible defections from your side if you force a unit to try and kill someone they love.) They can keep the fanservice if they wish, as long as it doesn't negatively impact the main storyline from sheer amount of plotholes. Even better, maybe even make sure the fanservice fits with the storyline they are going for. Tie up loose ends and make everything work together in a cohesive narrative. But, with the job they did here, I'm not holding my breath for one. Even then, I'm still looking forward to it based on what I hear about the gameplay, but my hype for it died down in June with the streams.
  4. Ooh, man, that some nice wizardry right there. Never really thought to use both the paint bucket and outline together; that certainly would cut on time required to finish a piece. I'm definitely getting the artbook and special edition now if it comes out for the English release. And this comes from a person who's used to traditional art and has to spend a month on the tablet to produce something that good on a computer art program. Then again, I'm too impatient to refine most of my sketches anyway.
  5. Thanks to Owain Odin's presence, I still have a character in-game that shares a birthday with me. We should make a commemorative war dance with forged swords to mark that occasion whilst disturbing all the Nohrian siblings, Crown Prince Marx especially. Let's start brainstorming with avian courting behavior as a model! Other than that, it is funny that only two people on the Nohr route have a July birthday (with one of them shared between the paths), the majority are in Hoshido. Huh.
  6. Oh man, Sakura's support with Marx was adorable. And yes, I do concur, he is one of the most intimidating men from Nohr based on appearances. And yet he is turning more and more into a gentle giant as supports are translated. Also, am I the only one on this thread who will marry every sibling off (even Marx) without regret? Though, that does depend on support quality for each sibling. Then again, both my sibling and I are territorial about our own rooms, so...
  7. I'm a huge sap for love, but stats are quite tempting to do for units of destruction. Oh, what to do, what to do...
  8. Considering the direction the Fire Emblem series has taken, I've all but given up on no my unit, no immediate marriage mechanics, and no children...so, I am hoping for: -Subtle fan-service -Better implementation of children (Say goodbye to your 1st generation characters; we're having a bonfire and they are the fuel!) -Ditch Emblem amie for a better mechanic that helps players get to know the army and kingdoms -Varied map objectives and clever map design, ones in which there are several possible methods of attack to work with other than 'brute force' -Extensive world building through cutscenes, dialogue, and gameplay (Cyas from FE5 and the Black Knight from Radiant Dawn are good examples of this) -More focus on the issues at hand and on other characters in addition to the protagonist -DLC expansion maps that tell more about the world along with hints at lore -Unique models and portraits for DLC characters -Ledges on the map as Radiant Dawn had where you can snipe at enemy units from above -Turrets that allow bow units to snipe at multiple enemies -Anna -And for the avatar, possibly an option for several types of personalities and endings depending on who they supported with to an S or A+ rank
  9. ^ Yeah. I would have made Sage build 2 if the ponytail hair was available for him. Alas, tis not to be.
  10. Hoo, I had way too much fun making my units. At any rate, thank you for making this! So, I have my male and female avatar for each path, along with pseudo!Pelleas, pseudo!Tanith, and pseudo!Chrom. As for the names, I tend to just stick with the two I gave my own two avatars, Green and Sage. That, or every avatar I make on my own will wind up with the name of an herb or color. Or Bob and Alice if I'm feeling uncreative. Green (Nohr) Sage (Hoshido) I may change his hair color since the options for green hair don't seem to work for him... And the imposters whose red eyes and pointy ears give them away: Well, I did try with them. Although I really wish there were better male hair options so I could recreate Azel, Oscar, or Lucius. Oh well
  11. ^ Agreed. In Awakening I planned to pair off my Female Avatar with Priam, Laurent, or Virion, and yet when I actually played the game I wound up pairing her with Chrom. Same with the Male Avatar, who I was planning to pair off to Cherche, Miriel, or Emmeryn. I grew to love Sumia's supports with the avatar and boom, wound up with her when playing the game. That and I have no clue who supports who outside of Corrin's supports. So, this is only based on description and looks. Nohr: -Female Corrin: Flannel = Joker = Xander = Arthur > Silas = Benoit > Leon > everyone else -Male Corrin: Crimson = Felicia = Anna = Mozume > Azura > Pieri > Belka > Nyx > Effie > everyone else Hoshido: -Male Corrin: Hinoka = Felicia = Rinkah = Mozume = Anna > ??? > Azura > Oboro -Female Corrin: Asama = Based Lord Takumi > Delicious herb buttered lobster >>> Ryoma > Nishiki > everyone else except >>>>> Tsukuyomi >>> ??? Third Path: -Female Corrin: Gunter or no one (for now) -Male Corrin: Azura or no one (ditto)
  12. Strangely, I'm finding myself fixated with all the generic units' death cries. On one hand, it's interesting to hear each one differ from one another, on the other hand is the fact that I am going to feel guilty for killing them at some point while playing. Good job IS.
  13. Is Takumi fully cleansed or is he still stained?
