Anybody knows when other seals but Master Seals are readily available? I have been using the few I have to reclass my avatar back and forth and now I want to test other skill combinations with the other units as well. Also, Jakob and Felicia don't have level caps at 20? I was surprised since both are in promoted classes but act as if they are in their own class, since they just leveled beyond 20 like Azura in her Songstress class.

I believe Nintendo announced they would forgo all marketing of their upcoming games except for the new Zelda (that won't be released until another year). Even though I am a Zelda fan, that's total bullshit. At least the Treehouse could have made a playthrough of the TMS:FE.

I am in love with the visual novels by Key, i.e. Kanon, Clannad, Little Busters. The writing and storytelling is (mostly) superb and has a way of tugging on your heartstrings. Little Busters is especially good at this, due to not focusing only on romance, but also on friendship. Rewrite is probably my most favorite however, due to its different take, which came out of the left field for me when I played it. Ace Attorney is probably known to many, so there isn't much to add there.

I just want to gauge the interest. With all the information we've gotten, has anybody changed their minds to buy the game? And why? (For those that wanted to buy the game from the beginning as well) I was not going to buy the game at all in the beginning but I am somewhat revising my opinion, since it still is an RPG on the Wii U, which the console really needs and the gameplay itself does not look that bad. I am still not sure however and would rather wait when Western reviews are out to see what they think about it.

Maybe the game is not so bad. Maybe it's just the bad publicity, seeing how choosy alot of both FE and Atlus fans are. I admit, the whole idol concept does put me off since it feels so unserious but like they say, one should not judge a book by its cover.

I really like M!Corrin (2nd voice) critical quotes, especially "This ends now!" and "You won't stop me!". He sounds really badass in contrast to his personality. And I am a sucker for Azura's voice. They way she says "My sweet prince" and shyly "I... I love you too" is music to my ears.

I feel you. I have the same desire but neither the time nor the skills to not make it as good as I want it to be. My headcanons revolve alot around Corrin, since I really like how he was initially set up (torn between two families) but a damn botched execution. To me: - Corrin is a very capable military commander and civil administrator, due to spending his time in the Northern Fortress to study martial and civil arts, to serve as a proper prince of Nohr. - He also adores and admire Xander and does everything to emulate him, which is why the Nohr Noble class is so similar to Xander's Paladin outfit. - If choosing Hoshido, he sees Ryoma as a replacement (hence why Hoshido Noble is so close to Ryoma's outfit) but can does never get over the guilt of leaving his Nohrian family. - Personality-wise, he is very much influenced by Camilla and Hinoka, in that he is fiercely protective of his familiy and his retainers and is prone to making rash decisions when they are in harm's way. Maybe if I was younger, I would invest more time into making a Fates fanfiction. But alas, age prone to rob most of the enjoyment in our life.

Quite the dilemma, either making my Corrin more of a glass cannon or trying to even him out for all-purpose. I will have to see what my choices become during my playthrough. Thanks for the tip.

At least for Hoshido Noble, I am going to focus on the sword more than the dragonstone so Swordfaire is a given. I can see Aegis too since the class has bad Res. Dunno about the last slot though. I want something that can increase the skill activation rate more.

Sweet jesus. I didn't know I could go for so long without touching the internet. Must say I am quite happy with my special edition of Fates but man, I can already imagine all the hours of my life being sucked away for this game. Anybody that has a gimmicky Hoshido/Nohr Noble build? I am quite fond of the designs (for the M!Corrin) and wants to keep him in that class, so does anybody have a recommendation for what kind of skills to use?

I think the English VAs are fantastic. Sure, there are some dissapointments that does not hold to the Japanese VAs (I prefer Hinoka's and Effie's soft-spoken voice than the harsher one they have in the English and Kagero sounds too young). But some are great. Matthew Mercer is great as Ryoma and I love Laura Bailey (it's her right?) voicing Elise. Some English VAs stand out for me though: Cam Clarke's Arthur (a god-send I swear) and the second voice of M!Corrin (Yuri Lowenthal I believe). Especially Corrin since he sounds like a wimp/bland in the Japanese version (no offense to Nobunaga Shimazaki, I think he is a great VA) but the English one managed to make him sound strong and determined. Now is only his personality could be better as well. And let's not forget Rena Strober as Azura. One cannot simply not love her voice. Good call bringing her in Nintendo. Good call.

One thing I've been thinking about between Robin and Corrin is their focus on minimizing casualties. It's a way to reflect how players play the game and it's a good mentality in general. But it was so damn overbearing with Corrin, saving this person and not killing this person and never growing up from this childish mentality. Robin does show some hesitation and unconfidence during Awakening but keeps it hidden and doesn't let it bog him down every five seconds. In fact, you could even call Robin ruthless considering the actions they do (and judging from M!Robin/Walhart support, it doesn't go unnoticed).

In terms of character, definitely Robin. He has a more subtle development, especially if you look at the supports. In the supports with the first generation, he is confused and new and just generally average. But in the supports with the second generation (and non-parent first generation), he is reliable, insightful and clever. I also have a soft side for tacticians, because they rely on smarts rather than superpowers to get their way and that in my book is way more awesome. Corrin is so special that it hurts so much. I could have potentially liked Corrin more, since Corrin actually have a background whereas Robin is made to be a blank slate, if Corrin didn't end up like a blank slate anyway. No ambition, no defining characteristics, no drive, no... anything and yet he is supposed to be special. Gameplay-wise, I do like Corrin more since he is more balanced. While not as cool-looking as the Grandmaster class, I find the Nohr Noble quite versatile and awesome and I like it.

Probably gonna get the season pass, since people have been quite positive to the DLCs. Me, I am gonna go on overdrive with my work (school and part-time) so that I can take free day the day Fates is released.

Now I am not as well-versed in the game as many of you are, but wasn't Corrin toasted by Xander in Birthright? And Ryoma is supposed to be on the same tier as Xander, right? Because they fought to a stalemate early on in the game. What makes Azura so powerful? Power of the plot?

One way to get re-hyped (not that it's necessary) is to rewatch the trailers or watch the new trailers posted on Nintendo UK. Takes me back to 1.5 year ago when it was first unveiled and I was so stoked of the prospect of choosing between your birth family and your adopted family. A great feeling.

The only instance I recall is the M!Robin/Anna support, where the US version had her sighing over Robin's quip while in the PAL, she outright wants to punch him. Not sure what prompted the change really.

Corrin has way too many retainers, that much is clear. Gunther, Flora, Felicia and Jakob are established as Corrin's retainers from the beginning but Gunther leaves and may come back while Flora renounces (and in fact, implies she never felt any loyalty towards Corrin) unless you make the right choices, leaving only Felicia and Jakob as the definite retainers. Kaze might become Corrin's retainer, IF the player chooses to do so and Silas is more of a trusted friend and lieutenant than retainer. So yeah, Corrin could pretty much end up with just Jakob and Felicia.

Not sure about the purpose anymore but I will throw out this (Fates spoilers)

Hmm, really, the only thing I can say now is "tell it in the story". If you wish to develop Corrin along the lines of how you described it, tell it. I don't know how or when, but tell it and don't make it irrelevant when you develop Corrin. Make her reflect upon herself perhaps, making her a bit more self-aware. It comes down to what you feel comfortable with.

I believe I have the same feeling as you. FE is fun and all but sometimes the fandom is too passionate and demanding (well, fans in almost everything are). Most of the critics stem from the game not living up to fans' (sometimes outrageous) standard. I tend to just enjoy something for what it is rather than bashing for what it isn't.

Ryoma x Fuga, cuz Ryoma should also hear a bit more about his father. Jakob x Kaze, along the lines of Kaze essentially taking over Jakob's role as bodyguard. Orochi x Sakura, since Mikoto did act as Sakura's mother and it would be great to have some discussion between the two about Mikoto. Xander x Gunter, about the latter's feelings about the Nohrian royal family (given what happened to him). Anna x Charlotte, just has to happen because "gold diggers" Azura x Oboro, because Azura must have had some contact with the Nohr-hating Oboro?

Were people able to snag the Special Edition? I was really lucky and just happened upon it randomly but as far as I can tell, there is a severe shortage of them.
