  1. I tried to go for customisation options that weren't used quite as often as some others. That is the face in Alma's case, the face of Ezrah, as well as the hair of Mana. I have to say: They look quite good once I figured out a personality for their respective Avatars! =) Nohr Main File Name: Alma Description: A mature, young woman who was raised to become a face of the population and role model. Alma learned to behave herself, yet suffers from a lack of self-confidence. Her actions were never her own, which led her to behave mostly like a doll, doing everything that the country expects from her. Alma is especially bad at making choices because of this. She expresses a love for martial arts, though deemed herself unworthy of wielding a sword up until her Nohrian siblings showed their support. Alma sees Camilla as her role model in terms of beauty and wishes to be as good at using a sword as her brother Marx. Name: Ezrah Description: A goody-two-shoes with a tendency to over-complicate things. There is no easy answer to anything for him. He bugs his siblings constantly, which leads to him getting ignored when he gets ahead of himself again. But sometimes Elise helps him and they annoy their siblings together. Ezrah is a really reliable guy aside from his attention-seeking antics, though, and loves to train with Marx. He also quite enjoys some tea time. Hoshido Main File Name: Mana Description: She is slow, loves to sleep and daydream and is, in general, everything but the perfect princess. Mana's hair is unkempt and as wild as her inner spirit, though her motivation doesn't live up to it. When her daydreams get the better of her, however, she tends to slip away from the castle to find a great place to nap. This often leads to her injuring herself whilst climbing up a wall or lurking through alleyways, but it also gives her the sense of freedom that she always longed for, yet is so far away.
  2. Keep in mind that these things might be paraphrased, wrongly translated or taken out of context. Not to mention that you, as the player, will hear the lewd lines of ONE character at most per play through. I have read worse stuff in some Manga that are otherwise great. You can pretty much ignore the skinship, ignore a few lines of dialogue in manga or anime. I don't like dem boobies in Magi The Labyrinth of Magic - still a wonderful series, though. I won't judge anyone for dropping a series because of this, but that hardly makes a game or manga the spawn of Grima. And if you really can't live with this optional feature in the game then you can just move on. Pick a game and pray. The thing with games is that you are always in for some surprises, good and bad ones.
  3. I just don't get why there are so many people here bad-mouthing each other in one way or another. This is a game. Sure, a game that differs from the earlier titles of it's series, but just a game nontheless. I don't watch Harem animes because of the fanservice being the central point. Other people like that stuff though and that is fine. I like THIS game because of the overall story and game play mechanics. The fanservice isn't the focal point and, hey, it's totally fine with me that it's there, though I wouldn't necessarily miss it if it wasn't present. I just want to say: I don't really care about fanservice overall, but hey. I don't go to the cinema, watch a comedy and then get angry because it featured a romantic subplot. And if I KNOW that I don't like the romantic subplot beforehand, then I simply don't watch the movie. You either buy the game or you don't. You don't HAVE to like the new extra stuff that the creators think keeps the franchise alive, but hey, don't talk down to people that can live with these features or even like them. This stuff isn't the spawn of Satan. It's a feature with game play mechanics and thus, has at least a PURPOSE. (Not Amie, I'm talking about marriage. Though I DO like the style of amie, it's great for artistic references. Certainly not a feature that I will use often, but I like the style of it.)
  4. My #1 favourite has to be Foleo. For once, he looks absolute unique. His locks, while over-the-top, look just so floofy. His outfit and little head makes him look very sophisticated and artsy, and I love that a lot. I do wish his clothes had a soft purple colour instead of pink, but I can easily forget that after having heard his cute voice. His amie lines (while mildly irking me because he is so young-looking and...well, I see him as a really cute kid, but definitely not as a character that could be a husband and have a child) actually show a lot of his character, too, and I just cannot get over the fact that Leon is the father of a child that is so...so very unique in every way. (Just read his support conversations with Ignis!) Foleo isn't a carbon copy at all. Yeah, he might not look a lot like Leon, but damn if his whole character and the way he behaves himself isn't the cutest thing ever. Plus, well, his father is Leon. It doesn't get much more awesome than that.
  5. I don't mind fanservice as long as you do not see genitalia or too many free nipples at once. Sure, if only girls are part of said fanservice, then I will rage as a fellow girl that feels that female characters are only used as bait so that men can enjoy their skimpy outfits. But if only some of them wear things like that or you get the option to show said girls (and guys!) in underwear or anything else, then so be it. I don't have to let the characters wear said underwear, after all, so everything is good. No fanservice? Good. Fanservice? Good as long as it is around equal for both sides. I do not see fanservice as something completely sexual, though. I understand that that is obviously the idea behind most of it, but since I'm demisexual and I cannot built up a real relationship with characters, I feel no sexual attraction to any game characters at all. (This sounds mildly weird, but I am sure that you guys can understand what I mean.) Not the skimpy outfits or pixelated abs, nothing. Sure, some of them are aestetically pleasing and I really enjoy analysing their outfits because of my artistic interests, but that is all. Take that Camilla scene, for example: Over the top, sure, and I do not like that she is our #1 fanservice character that gets shoved in our faces, but I actually just analysed the way she walks and how they use the camera positions to achieve said over the top fanservice atmosphere. Am I weird? Maybe. But being demisexual kind of makes me numb to this issue, though I DO rage when only female characters are used in that way. That's a big, sexualising no-no.
  6. Nohr Female [Main] Leon --> Foleo is my favourite kid, he is just so adorable! I'm also a big fan of Leon. So, while the sibling-esque-relationship irks me a bit, I just like Foleo too much to NOT have him as my Avatar's child. Also, Leon is definitely one of the most interesting characters for me. Joker/Jakob --> Joker is #1 butler. I actually really like his design and his son looks so awkward you can just not not love him. He also seems like a really valuable unit. Flannel --> His voice is awesome, I love it. He seems very happy-go-lucky. And he has a floofy wolf tail. It doesn't get much better than that. Male Zero --> Fun fact, when we were still unsure if LGB relationships were possible, my brain went "I bet it's Zero IF they decide to add it. It's so ridiculous that it's gonna be awesome." aaand I was right. There's nothing cooler than kicking ass with your slightly insane hubbie. Love his design, too. Hoshido Female [Main] Silas --> Nothing cuter than getting together with your best friend since childhood, who is willing to betray his entire country for you. Also, his daughter seems really cool. But I mostly just like the trope that he fills and his design is just the right amount of 'average' that I like. Nishiki --> Same reasons for Flannel, really. But it's a fox boy this time. I also like his slightly lower voice than Flannel's, didn't think that would happen. Kaze --> Cool ninja dude with green hair. 'nuff said. I might not actually get around to do Kaze, Nishiki and Flannel due to time being precious, but damn I'll try. Still, this game isn't hubbie-Emblem. I mostly will enjoy the different game modes and then go from there.
  7. I agree. Best waifu daddy of the day. No, but seriously. The more I read about him and his son, the more I'm certain that they will become my favourite father-son pair.
  8. So, do we know how we can recruit those that possibly die yet? ...and just like that, Foleo has become my precious favourite child. Leo(n), here I come, even though the sibling-like-stuff still irks me a bit. Can't bear to NOT have this cutie as a kid. (And Leon is one of my favourite characters anyway.) Why? Just read the supports of Ignis and Foleo, posted by marxryouma on their tumblr blog.
  9. You can find his amie sound files here:http://marxryouma.tumblr.com No translations as of now, though.
  10. Foleo is adorable. Definitely not in a romantic way but damn, he's such a cute kid! I only wish that his clothes were a soft purple instead of pink. Still, one of my favourite children because of his uniqueness. Love the adorable little fluffball. For those of you that want to read/listen to other Amie lines: http://marxryouma.tumblr.com So far they have: - Camilla - Marx - Ryouma - Takumi (text) - Leon - Foleo - Anna (text) - Nishiki - Flannel ...and a few others, I think. Damn it is good to have stopped being a long time lurker of 2 years.
  11. For those of you interested in the children: Here is Foleo's Amie dialogue. The tumblr blog where I got it from has his sound files, too. As well as Flannel, Nishiki, Leon and more. If you want to, I can post the link to it. Foleo's lines
