There are 7 characters who don't have unique weapons. Lissa, Cordelia, Frederick, Robin, Caeda, Tiki, and Anna. So they are just stuck with the A rank weapons that have to be farmed for the A rank 5* weapons (Excluding Swords, since all Sword users have a unique so far).

Honestly, this kinda reminds of Samurai Warriors 2 with it's Xtreme Legends expansion. In the base game, two characters (Shibata Katsuie and Sasaki Kojiro) were NPC only with generic weapons and movesets but when the expansion came out, they were given a unique weapon and moveset each. (As well as adding 3 other playable characters and adding someone from SW1). Now, the big difference here in my eyes is that the SW2XL came with more then just battles and new characters. It contained a entire new mode as well...also, it costed full price rather then a fraction of a normal game.

What do you guys think the "New" weapons will mean? They will likely be weapons with the True Power skill attached, but there are more weapons then DLC characters, so some of those are gonna go to the previous playable characters.

Honestly, I think this website has more info on the game then the japanese version...although that might just be me.

The Tiki and Chrom Amiibo gives a special weapon each with a special ability on it (Likely a KO ability). Tiki gives 全能力強化 which I think increases the power of all C# attacks, and Chrom's weapon has Hasty Attacks (I'm pretty sure 攻撃加速 is that). Anyone who played Hyrule Warriors know how helpful that ability is.

I recently got a Switch, and I'm gonna get the english version, but I want to ask this to people who are already playing the JP version: Can you play 2P with just the two Joycons or do you need a Pro controller/two more Joycons?

I remember seeing a stream and Chrom x Robin had a convo at A+.

From looking at the JP wiki for this game, the player who is making it hasn't unlocked everyone yet, so I'm gonna assume they are unlocked either though History mode, or the Anna's Memories maps, if they work like in Hyrule Warriors.

Ok, now that I have done some thinking (And looking on the JP wiki), you normally unlock a History mode map when you get all the characters who were in that game (From story mode I mean). You likely unlock Owain from doing the Awakening History mode map, and Oboro from the Fates History mode map.

My biggest worry for this DLC is that they will have the characters show up in the story, but not be playable/NPCs until the DLC. They did this with the Samurai Warriors games from 2 onwards with it's Xtreme Legends expansions with the characters appearing, but only having a generic commander moveset until the expansion was released. I worry that they will do that with some of the characters here (Like Navarre. He appears in the story, thank you EU trailer, but he might not be playable until the DLC, since no trailer yet)...I hope I'm wrong though.

Ok, just did a look on the JP website for FE warriors, in the Product section, using a Fire Emblem character amiibo gets you a weapon (Likely unique to that amiibo.) Using any other amiibo gets you weapons, Materials, or gold. You can use them 5 times a day...so yeah, it's exactly like Hyrule Warriors.

...oh man, we STILL don't know what Amiibos do. Most Nintendo games that have Amiibo support normally have a video about what they do, but this game hasn't given a lip of info.

Honestly, that's what I was hoping for the promotion/class change system to do. Let the main male character use Lances and the main female character use Axes...sadly, that doesn't seem like it's gonna happen.

Yeah, if they are gonna announce anything after today, it will likely have their own character trailer like with HW...then again, in HW, they did it with every character that would be playable and didn't leave any hints about secret characters.

So, the game is gonna be released soon in japan right? I don't even know how the shop works...or a good chunk of the gameplay mechanics...

Honestly, most of the costumes are gonna be the class changed outfits (The website mentions that class changing, or in US, promotion, changes their outfit) and recolors of the character in another character's colors.

Umm...isn't the only Valla characters, excluding Azura, either dead, evil, or both?

A lot of Warriors games are like that tbh. DW3 has that and it's arrows of doom...and the really bad (But funny) voice acting.

So, my favorite FE character is Charlotte. She is one of the few fun characters in more then design in that game for me. (So many characters in Fates I dislike, are pointless to the plot, and Charlotte doesn't escape that, idiots, or awful parents) However, I don't really expect her to get in Warriors considering their current choices (A character with only one chapter of plot then goes away, or something with multiple chapters) Even if they do add a Fates Axe user, it's likely going to be Arthur (Who I like for more the voice acting then the character) since he's one of Elise's retainers. What about you guys? Who would you say is your hopeful dream?

...now that I think about it, was Fates PR the same as this game's PR? A bunch of uncertain information or lack thereof that caused fans and new players to be confused and angry as stupid things happen? Also, for anyone who checks the japanese side of things: How have they been taking to Lyn in the game and the lack of info?

Pardon me for asking, but in terms of weapon users (Ignoring classes, just weapons), how many of each are we up to now?

Looking at the page, only the Chrom amiibo is up for Pre-order. The Tiki amiibo just has Coming Soon at the time of this post.

Personally, having played other mobile games, this is my advice: If you don't see a character you want, horde your Orbs like your saving them for the end of the world. Once you see them, use as much as you wish. Repeat. Also, if your buying orbs, please whale responsibly.

Looking at the latest tweet on the JP twitter, voting ends on at 2:59 PM Japan time on February 1st. EDIT: Wait, wrong thread shoot.

Chances are there would be Summon Tickets on the My Nintendo shop rather then orbs, but that's just me assuming here.
