  1. 1. Corrin with Rod Knight talent 2. Maid!Sakura 3. Spear Master! Ryoma 4. Oboro (not sure what her final class should be)
  2. Never done a PMU before and wanted to do it on Lunatic!Birthright since I liked it more than Conquest. I will lay out a few rules however: - 15 Units max - I intend on using a Male Corrin with either a Speed or Magic asset. Pick out a wife and talent for him. Don't give me Selkie since I married her in my previous file. - No awful units please unless it can be effectively used in an unorthodox fashion. - I don't intend on using captured units or Corrinsexuals. - Second Gen Units are fair game. - DLC classes are allowed - Ryoma is allowed but give me a reclass option (I don't want to steamroll the game)
  3. That's amazing. What made you wanna replay those games that much?
  4. I typically play each FE game twice, once on the default difficulty (or "Hard" for the 3DS games) and the second time for a higher difficulty. I replayed Awakening multiple times back mainly because I loved the Plegia arc. I stopped replaying it after I tried out FE7- didn't know Awakening's maps were lame. Only played FE4, 5, and 15 once each. They weren't bad games but the gameplay was really outdated (especially FE4) and they didn't have enough QoL features compared to the 3DS titles (though the Turnwheel mechanic was a great addition).
  5. Where does it improve over Birthright? I found Lunatic!Birthright to be a good challenge up until lategame where everything OHKO's my units. I am aware of the fates of certain characters but beyond this, I don't know much about the story.
  6. I bought Conquest 2-3 years ago and I loved it and done multiple playthroughs of it, though I never had enough interest to finish a Lunatic run. Got bored and downloaded Birthright last week and actually enjoyed the roster, story, and music much more. I initially played this on Lunatic though I had to lower the difficulty by Chapter 26 because my units had the defense of a wet cookie- also I handicapped myself by retiring Ryoma. I am aware that Revelation has a lot of "gimmicks" to it and is mainly catered to PvP. Is a playthrough worth it despite these flaws? Or am I better off watching a run off YouTube?
  7. Does anyone happen to have any ideas of anachronisms existing within the Fire Emblem games? I have been replaying Awakening and Fates and for whatever reason, I like to think of the cast living in a modern world except that the military and politics remain stagnant in medieval times. The supports seem to reference bathrooms, showers, and even modern-day candy (just look at Gaius's artwork and supports). The Outrealms from the DLC chapters even have tomes that work function as cameras and intercoms. I do know that early civilizations had indoor plumbing, though I really doubt they were able to have steamy showers inside a tent.
  8. I decided to try out Birthright on Lunatic mode after only having Conquest for two years. I had just finished the game and I personally found Lunatic!Birthright to be quite difficult contrary to what most people have said. The game was fairly challenging up until the late-game. The reinforcements and their Silver weapons made a very obnoxious design choice. I was struggling so hard to the point where I had relied on grinding and DLC to flow through. By Chapter 26, I had to lower the difficulty down to Hard since my units kept on getting killed. I had played through Hard mode Conquest before and I didn't find it to be that difficult aside from Chapter 10. I never bothered grinding unless I wanted a unit to S rank another ASAP.
  9. Anyone here into weightlifting? How'd you get into it and what program/routine do you run? I used to be a 160+ lbs as a 5'5 guy. Decided to do some cardio but ended up too thin at a weight of 120 lbs. I tried bulking up and lifting weights but it turns out that I have trouble getting stronger thanks to a pituitary tumor messing up my hormones. Been taking medication for this but I still continue to struggle. I still weight lift because I find it fun and more engaging than cardio. I am now 155 lbs (not that far away from my old weight) though I am much more leaner than I was back then even though I barely built any muscle. Most of the weight I gained was body fat but nonetheless I have no regrets starting this activity.
  10. https://imgur.com/a/bzxapDR I happened to find this ball lying around on the street years ago but kept it. Never thought of its significance until now.
  11. Damn I would have preferred that over Ambipom. Clefable may be better overall, but Aipom could be found before the second badge. Plus dat Technician.
  12. -Rhyperior/Steelix -Pelipper -Roserade -Flareon -Gallade -Ambipom I actually like this team. I never used half of these Pokemon in a playthrough before so this should be interesting.
  13. So far there is: -Rhyperior/Steelix -Pelipper -Flareon -Roserade I need 2 more. I won't use both Rhyperior and Steelix because of the redundancy in typing. To those of you who will chip in, try not to put something with a type that is already Grass, Flying, Fire, or Ground (the primary types of the posted POkemon).
  14. Over the holidays I grabbed myself a copy of Platinum which was never really my favorite game, but got nostalgic and booted up a new file. Problem is I am a little burnt out on using the "usual" Pokemon (Starter, Staraptor, Luxray, Garchomp, etc.) I am leaving the team slots into the hands of the people who post on this topic. Each user gives me a Pokemon that I should use. Trade evolutions are allowed since I have a second DS with Diamond and Pearl exclusives.
  15. That was pretty dope. The Kalos gym leaders were a major dissapointment. Honestly every single one of them, except for Korrina, were really forgettable. They had no impact on the story and nothing memorable about them.
  16. Personally, every individual Pokemon that you capture prior to the Gen 6 games seem valuable to me. Those games today lack any wifi connection so anything you capture feels valuable, anything from a Dratini to a Feebas. I don't get that feeling of value in the current games as wifi connection allows obtaining any Pokemon (sans mythicals) to be achieved with ease. The "rare" Pokemon you find don't seem as rare since many of them are now bred. Hell any shiny Pokemon you find are even more valuable since the older games lack Masuda method and a higher shiny rate (I know Gen IV introduced Masuda method but GTS is dead now).
  17. Just curious. From time to time, I go back to my SoulSilver file and play on the Battle Factory. I would play on the Battle Tower but building teams are harder pre Gen VI considering how wifi is dead.
  18. Honestly it looks great so far, not much to say besides that since only 3 chapters have been posted. From what you have so far, I will tell you that you seem have a clear direction of how the plot will flow and I will give props for that. I find it interesting how you decided to bring back armories. Should this be a genuine game, it will make micromanaging more of a challenge since you cannot pick and choose when to purchase items. I am fond of your medal ideas and it seems like a good way to raise weaker units. Though they really shouldn't be commonplace otherwise it will be broken. Does Mila's Turnwheel exist here?
  19. So will you be posting the entirety of your game? Don't mean to offend or anything, I am rather glad you are constantly updating this topic. Loving the creativity here. I just don't want to raise my expectations too high if you are just posting a portion.
  20. Just wondering, how would the Lords be crafted in a way they aren't broken? They have Paragon and that would make them overleveled.
  21. I'd like to do it FE7 style where the Avatar serves as part of the Lord's army- just another member that gets some screen time now and then but does not overshadow anyone. Only difference is that the Avatar is a fighting unit whose initial class is chosen at the beginning like in FE12 along with the gender and physical appearance. In terms of personality, I do not think we should have IS let us pick one since that would be extra work for the script, affecting the quality of writing. The Avatar could be entirely voiceless, but we are given some dialogue choices whenever another unit interacts with our Avatar, think of Devil Survivor and the later Pokemon games if you played those. Beyond that, the Avatar should bear no major effect on the plot and is simply there as a sort of audience surrogate. I don't know about supports, but I would like it if the Avatar remained voiceless while other units spoke to them so whatever words they had remained ambiguous, similar to how characters spoke to Alm/Celica in SoV.
  22. Never played Grand Kingdom myself but Devil Survivor games on the 3DS did just that and are just as dialogue heavy as Fire Emblem, being anothet SRPG and having full voice acting. Whenever someone refers to the MC (whose name can be changed), characters refer to him as he, him, etc.
  23. I haven't played every single game in the series so forgive me if this has been done before, but I would think it would be interesting if there were 2 lords each with their own story yet loosely connecting to another. For the first 20 chapters of the game, you follow Lord 1 doing his/her campaign and building his/her army. The next 20 chapters features an entirely separate lord and following his/her campaign with a different army, Each lord leads an army of about 20 units each; the two lords and their respective armies meet up for the third arc which is shorter (lets say ~10 chapters) and serves as the climax to the main plot.
  24. Thanks for the positive response! Though I really wish my dream came true, I cannot deny that the negative consequences outweigh the positive. What if I gotten sick or injured while away from society? Talk about a crappy way to die. While I could just bring several books to entertain myself, I would deeply miss the luxuries such as heating, cooling, internet access, clean water, etc. You are right about failing to achieve my other dreams should I run away and pursue them like being around to play FE16.
  25. Gonna be an incoming college freshman soon and I am a little worried of the future, mainly due to my dreams of aspirations, or lack thereof. I never found myself looking up to any particular field or careers, rather I feel content with the idea of a desk job and will be pursuing a business degree. I am not sure if I can derive any source of happiness from here, but I am more interested in gaining that from my personal time. If I can be honest with myself, my true dreams are simply being free and away from society or any body that posses some form of authority. I often find myself fantasizing of staying in a remote location such as a remote forest or mountainside and living the rest of my days there. I know this is unrealistic given the world we live in now but I'd just like to share this and hear the dreams of others.
