  1. I mean... once again, if you are looking at the difference between the two, it technically makes Berserkers more appealing. They lose 12.5% Crit Evade, but everyone else loses 15% Crit Evade. Like it's just a fact, this change favors Berserkers overall. Luck is worth less overall, and therefore any unit who specialized in having more luck, invested in a stat that was worth less than it used to be. Meanwhile, the Berserker which specialized in criticals, now crits 45%+(instead of 30%+) of the time with a Killing Axe. This is very appealing especially with Fighter having the Brave Hero branch and massive HP. As you could technically take a critical hit, survive due to your high HP, then heal it off with your own Crit that activates Sol.Yes, this is cherry picking a good situation, but it's still better than getting crit anyway and dying to low HP or no way to survive the next hit.
  2. It wouldn't be high risk. Only Berserkers have higher risk for critical builds(but more reward). Every other S rank unit also gets +10%(most of the time) Crit. Crit builds are now extremely viable to the point that anyone holding Killing weapons will most likely have some % crit rate, and Ogre Strike just makes it worse. This is officially the Critical Fire Emblem game. Everyone is inclined to build crits as the defense against them are pitiful. So yeah, if any enemy has Killing Weapons/Ogre Strike, YOU WILL have a chance to be crit(unless you are the Holy Lancer with the S rank weapon). EDIT: It's not even like Killing weapons are bad, they are just slightly less accurate Iron weapons with slightly less avoid, but a lot more critical and x4 on Crits.
  3. In all seriousness, he is actually less of a liability. Arthur has a 5% Luck Growth, starts at 1 Lck. So... using him in the Fighter -> Berserker class would result in 3 Luck overall anyway. This is a difference of 1.5% Crit Evade. Most characters have 15% less Crit Evade. Now yes, I know you will never use Arthur in the first place, but I do feel this needs to be pointed out. Also, this makes Arthur damn near TERRIFYING in PvP. He'll have a 90% Crit rate on most characters who aren't paired, and even characters who specifically try to get more crit evade, will only get it down to 40% at most. EDIT: I just realized that Berserkers and Arthur's ability give -5% to Crit Evade, which means in both cases, Arthur had 0% Crit Evade. So Arthur lost no crit evade, making him exactly the same and everyone else worse off.
  4. Really? They nerfed Crit Evade? Odd choice as that makes Crit builds really really strong.
  5. You don't have to care about the skill stat if you don't include weird things like Hoshido or Flamboyant, so you can just compare their multiplier and the damage difference from normal. Aether: (50*2(estimate total attack power before proc skills)-30*2(average Def)+15(Luna)-20(normal damage))*.5=17.5 Dragon Fang: (50*1.5(Dragon Fang)-30-20)*.75=18.75 Ignis: (50+15(only if you have a good magic stat)-30-20)=15 Breaking Sky: (50+15(Breaking Sky normal increase for non mage units)-30-20)*1.5=22.5 So yeah accounting for Flamboyant, most likely Aether would be the strongest overall, probably followed by Dragon Fang, then Breaking Sky, then Luna, then Ignis. EDIT: Astra is similar to Dragon Fang when accounting for Flamboyant, but without it, it's about the same as Luna/Ignis. ((50-30)/2*5-20)*.5=15
  6. Kaze, Midoriko, Avatar, Kanna, Mozume's Daughter/Son. Avatar and Mozume's Daughter/Son will be ORKO machines. Kanna will be the rescue machine. Kaze is for Miraculous Save. Midoriko will be a tank.
  7. They meant things like Strength Seal. I can't say for sure, but I don't think so.
  8. It will, but not cause it's a personal skill, but because that isn't a proc offensive skill. Nobody has a personal skill that is a proc offensive skill(like Luna, Astra, Sol, etc.), which are the only skills that clause cares about.
  9. Changes Made: Added Trueblade Dodge Tank Hello everyone, well I wanted to start discussing some fundamentals instead of just listing off some prattle about builds. So some people may want to know how to beat Flamboyant sets well, and I'll explain how to make a fundamental set that has the best chance against Flamboyant. The BEST way is to take advantage of the fact that they are giving you a skill activation boost. Build sets that have skills that are ALREADY good, but get much better with flamboyant. It's why miracle, Kaze's miracle, Pavise, and Aegis are all listed. They get the flamboyant increase, but decrease damage more than the opponent increases damage. A great example is Subaki's Trueblade set up where he has Aether, Sol, Lucky Seven, Pavise, and Aegis. Due to his personal skill, he is such a hard target to hit, and even if you do hit him, Aegis/Pavise will probably activate if you have Flamboyant, and then when he hits you, Sol/Aether is likely to activate and HEAL HIM BACK. Hell if you build a team to kill their ranged units, Kisaragi is probably even better, cause he can replace Lucky Seven(which non-bo's with his personal skill) with Underdog which is a little less, but always in effect. EDIT: Fixed some issues with impossibilities such as Subaki having Underdog.
  10. That's why I said it belongs in every "want" category. They would put it on if they had the slots for it, but they don't.
  11. 1) 4 Physical and 1 Magic sounds right for this game. Magic Units are pretty frail overall. 2) You don't NEED healers... in fact staff users are used more for Rescue than actual healing in PvP. 3) The needed skills are just sort of recommended to the point that it would be silly not to have them, the set wouldn't function properly. 4) You can use almost any class to ORKO in this game, but because of that, the classes with higher movement have the advantage cause they can attack first more often.
  12. Notes on changes: 1) I've made a Physical Tank build 2) I've made a Magic Tank build Things working on: Trueblade Dodge Tank EDIT: Fixed mistake about Magic Tanks Characters EDIT2: Added Kanna and Dragonstones to Tank builds
  13. No, Kaze doesn't give any Magic Growths, but has a -2 Str modifer. Midoriko also has low Magic Growth base(5), so she is harmed by her father's str modifer and forced to use it in the majority of situations. EDIT: I'll work on a couple tank builds and add them to this post.
  14. There just.... isn't much you can do to stop all ORKOs except have something that says "NO, BAD, take an extra round." An extra note. I've heard many jokes that Kaze hates his child, Midoriko, due to the stat issues, but I'd say he is also the most protective father in Fates. Midoriko, with Miracle and Flamboyant in effect, paired with Kaze(in guard stance) has around an 88%~ chance of surviving a life threatening attack due to how their personal skill interact.
  15. Changes Made: 1) Added Draconic Shield as a soft check to most builds. 2) Added Defensive Formation and Vantage as skills wanted for Critical build. 3) Added Lethality build. 4) Added Hoshdo and Lethality to Skill based Builds as skills wanted. (Tho Lethality is only wanted if you are doing the Nohr set) Something I need an answer to: Q: Can Pasive, Aegis(and by extension Draconic Shield) stop Lethality from killing you? EDIT: Does anyone want the Trueblade Dodge Tank build on here? I have listed it as a soft check to all builds due to how many Avoid bonuses the Trueblade can get.
  16. I knew I forgot one, give me a bit, as I have to completely make a new build in the first post.
  17. True True, I meant specifically Falcon Warrior/Golden Kite Matoi as that allows the most ways to have lower stats, but stilll benefit from high movement to get the personal skill to activate. EDIT: Changes made to specify Falcon Warrior and Golden Kite. EDIT2: Basically, I was looking for Damage Up personal skills with significant increases with low entry bar conditions for most characters. Takumi has his unique Bow to be a semi flier.
  18. One Round Knock Out, it's where you kill the enemy without them even having the chance to respond with a counterattack. EDIT: Whoops, yeah GoXDS is right, I just act more concerned about ORKOs that have minimal interaction, so I figured I should post the ORKO sets that allow that.
  19. (tl:dr if you are having trouble in PvP due to a certain build the enemy has, then come here and explain the issue, and at least I will analyze the situation and try to create the set and how to check it.) Hello everyone, I made this thread to discuss some of the common(and maybe even uncommon) builds present in PvP and what people can do to check them. You don't have to follow my format, but I like organizing information. If someone brings to my attention a new build or check to a build, I'll add that information to the original post so others can see. Copycat will not be listed in the skills section, as literally any set at least WANTS Copycat. Terminology: Atk = Total Attack Power Cap = Capacity Dmg = Damage FW = Falcon Warrior GK = Golden Kite Ranged = Tome/Kunai/Bow Melee = Sword/Lance/Axe Physical = Kunai/Bow/Sword/Lance/Axe WRB = Weapon Rank Bonus WTA = Weapon Triangle Advantage BOLDED ____ = Strong ____ Ex: A bolded "skills wanted" means it is a strong skill for the build. 20. BTW, not that anyone cares for right now, but if people are actually smart enough to search this thread looking for an answer to their question, I'd figure I would post the answer to my Weapon Triangle Advantage question. Q: What does S Rank Weapon Triangle Advantage? A: +2 Atk, +20 Hit for you, -2 Atk, -20 Hit for the enemy
  21. I'm not so sure about that. That's a secondary effect, not related to reversing the triangle. I mean, it may still be only double, but I doubt it is fully negated(kinda like Flamboyant not doubling its effect if you and your enemy have it). This question is going to be almost impossible to answer for anyone. They'd have to find someone else with the game, start a PvP match between each other, and then both carry a Reverse Weapon on a character to find out. Cause I highly doubt any story mode enemy carries a reverse weapon.
  22. Yes. It does, and then REALLY silly stuff happens. Cause the WTA is doubled... twice... so quadrupled. So A ranks(if advantage) would get +/-4 Atk, +/-60 Hit, and S ranks(if advantage) would get +/-8 Atk, +/-80 Hit. EDIT: B ranks would get +/-4 Atk, +/-40 Hit.
  23. ****! That means if the S rank classes carry their Reverse Weapon they get +4 Atk, +40 Hit against their normal weakness and their normal weakness gets -4 Atk, -40 Hit. Like... that's a significant swing to the point that if they double the enemy, the enemy is probably dead. The best part is that the enemy can't get the S rank advantage unless they are an S ranker. Which means they are stuck with +/-2 Atk, +/-30 Hit when they retaliate with your new weakness(it might be even less cause of weapon ranks being different), nothing to scoff at, but it's significantly different than the advantage the S ranks get.
  24. Drat. I knew there was something I forgot. Well... Boost Thunder can be cheated unlike Xander's guiding lance. You could technically use it on something with Defensive Formation.(Still kind of a bad idea.), but it's something. Some weapons just kinda suck or are outclassed in this game. EXAMPLE: The Quick Draw Katana sort of outclasses both Iron and Brigand Katana. QDK: 6 Mt, 80 Acc, +5 Speed, -1 Def/Res BK: 5 Mt, 85 Acc, +1 Speed, -1 Def/Res, +3 AT IronK:6 Mt, 90 Acc, +1 Speed, -1 Def/Res Like, let's face it, everyone would trade 10 Acc for 4 more speed.
  25. Yep, that's pretty much the reason. Tho Magic Counter and Counter still have issues with Bows and Kunai. Gotta have that Defensive Formation, Counter, Magic Counter, Aegis, Sol set up.
