  1. To me the only worthwhile tier list would be a in a Lunatic No-Grind low-turn context.

    At a glance Oboro is busted as a support unit, Takumi and Hinoka can join those ranks [Lance Fighter is kind of a nuts class], Effie is just busted, Silas is kinda crutch. Charlotte I think makes the best Zerker.

    Pieri is deffers not trash. 1-2 range got gutted this game and you're laughing at a unit with access to Vengeance? Not mention Lifetaker? Both of which complement Killer Instinct? No Vantage, but Sol access through Luna *and* Charlotte [Luna is a better choice] and a near-obvious Galeforce candidate. I just checked her growths to make sure, those are solid too. The Str/Speed is great and Def could use a Dragonshield investment but its kind of borderline on good Vengeance damage/safety from death range. Skill is underwhelming but thankfully boosted by Killer Instinct. She kind of screams EP tank and can do a good job of wearing down units. [she and Effie will be my Oboro/Takumi replacements in Nohr.] This is isn't really the game for 1-2 range units to go off and murder everything on EP, though.

    I hope I can make room for Benoit on my team so I can wrangle Pavise/Knight pair up bonuses onto her.

Yeah, I'm going to have an excellent time calculating exact levels to switch up on Fixed mode to make sure Odin has adequate Mag, Speed, Def, Str and still ends up with the right skills and class. Like I'm shooting for a tanky-ish Revenant Knight with Vantage/Sol [Lazwald A+]/Deadly Breath/Overbearing/Vengeance. Possibly Bowbreaker instead of Deadly Breath.

  3. Effie is just broken.

    Kazahana is just ... niche, I guess. I'm probably going to be robing her, since her HP/Def is junk but at level 20 she hits 19 Str and 23 Spd. What you probably want to do is A+ Setsuna, fix her up with Prescient Victory, Bowfaire, Line of Death and Galeforce in GKW, so that she can do her Player-Phase nuke thing. Line of Death makes the durability-of-paper thing worse, so Renewal isn't even something you want to bother with, but even Rinkah doesn't have that solid a Str growth and letting the second-highest Str growth in Hoshido go to waste seems like a bad idea. In earlygame focus on PP axe-user kills, since WTA + Flowing Strike will help circumvent the durability. Towards midgame pair her up with Setsuna chip and/or Oboro+Takumi Defense Sealed enemy units [between Kagerou, Orochi, Rinkah and Azura's dances cleaning up shouldn't be too tough]. Deffers reserve scrolls for her and plan to have her end up with Bows. I'm thinking Samurai -> Bowman -> Holy Bowman -> dip in Weapon Master -> Falcon? -> GKW. Lol lance rank, but very specialized in exploding things dead on PP. With +19 from the mentioned Skills her Zanshin damage output is 41 before you add her strength. Ahem.

  4. I am currently doing a lunatic invinsible run, and just died of a 2% crit idm :\

    I find it a little bit harder than lunatic nohr (i am doing no grind btw) since you have only 4~ units in the early chapters.

    But its not to bad..

    I just want to know if there is a lunatic+ in fates as well.

    Doesn't seem like it from what I can tell.

  5. Huh... I don't really know all the S-ranked pairings i'll do because i was spoiled for some pairs, not all the supports. So, i'll just give my decisive ships based on these known supports only.

    My first run would be Hoshido path.

    Ryōma x Aqua - They're so precious together... and their support made their siblings-to-lovers relationship really natural. Maybe it's just me but oh well...

    Tsubaki x Hinoka - Do i really need to explain myself? Their supports are... decent but i just want a red-haired Matoi with two beautiful and strong pegasus knight parents~

    Takumi x Oboro - Usually, girls who are desperately in love with a boy are annoying... but Oboro is just the cutest! Besides that, their conversations come very natural and sweet to me.

    Tsukuyomi x Sakura - Children in love talking cheerfully when eating some sweets... Adorable!

    That's the only pairings i'm pretty sure i'll do for my first run... and now, i'll confess one big problem i have since i forbid to myself to read other support spoilers...

    Between Silas, Suzukaze and Joker, who's the best husband for my Femui in my Hoshido first run?

    I'm really torn because i heard good things about Suzukaze's supports and i love the "BFFs-becoming-lovers" trope (without knowing anything about Silas/Femui support)... and then, there's Joker. I heard he was funny but also kind of hyper protective towards his lady he serves. I know also that Femui and him practice some tea making...? I don't know what to think about it.

    Could you tell me, without any big support spoilers, who's the best husband for you according to child inheritances (for M!Kanna & his sibling) and supports? I just want to be sure who i'll get my Femui married to because i can't choose alone without spoiling a lot more myself... ;-;

  6. Yeah I heard about Anna...and I heard about the other thing you mentioned as well. I don't know why the hell I asked this question and I'm actually a little irked at myself simply because I already knew the answer to my question and I just forgot.

    I suppose I'd like to know how we're supposed to grind supports in Nohr if Nohr doesn't let us grind reliably.

    My castle? Design appropriate roles for the units you want to pair up so they can work together? I want Sophie quickish, so I'll be shacking up FeMU and Silas from the get-go. Silas can ferry FeMU around and make use of Friendship Oath+Mysterious Appeal buffs.

  7. Just the obvious ones off the top of my head:

    -PavSol [again]

    - Vantage | Sol/Vengeance

    - Flamboyant | Breaking Basara/Luna/Pavgis/Sol [Due to the hit rate buff, you'd want Flam on a unit that doesn't have much of a dodge rate anyway.]

    - Speed and Defense Seal are both really good debuffs and occur in the same class tree.

    Past that it's a matter of what goes well with your unit's stats, purposes [PP offense? EP tank? Rallybot?] and weapons. Rinkah for example makes good use of Ogre Strike + Raven Strike, having access to the Great Club.

  8. Currently looking at Invisible Kingdom Chapter 8, the ironic thing is, the named characters (that are not the boss) have the exact same thing, except the boosted weapon rank.

    The Boss gains 4HP/STR/MAG/DEF and 2 Res and that's it.

    Aside from that, the actual thing is that like, these Samurais have 14 Str/17 Spd/9 Def, which is pretty ridiculous

    Lance Fighters? 16 Str/12 Spd/13 Def. Man, this is kinda brutal

    How exactly do you deal with it? Stagger advances, lots of attack stance?

  9. For example, I'm currently watching Lucarioplayer's Invisible Kingdom Lunatic, it's kind of interesting.

    For Chapter 6, the Nohr forces are no longer wyverns, so you're somewhat forced to rush headfirst into the enemies if you want to reach them in time

    Chapter 7? Level 10 Lance Fighters with ~10s in everything (25+ hp). Pain. Technically you can just bottleneck them, but the archers are all sorts of pain as well

    Thanks for that name, I'll go watch an FE14 playthrough that doesn't make me want to facepalm forever.

  10. So? Sakura starts at E rank in staves and can heal at 1-2 range.

    And Elise joins at chapter 7 after you get access to my castle and as long as you have internet and 1000 gold you can get the baton version of mend right off the bat. Not quite sure when you will find batons in the main story though but i would think it would be pretty early as you get what appears to be a reverse club in chapter 10.

    I probably won't be using other players' My Castles and such to get items I couldn't normally get, meaning Elise is stuck healing at 1-range until Physic.

    If you only look at it from an offensive perspective then yeah. But it's still useful defensively, since it discourages the opponent from using any of his melee options. Most of the non-magic ranged swords/lances/axes are not good for killing, so they're either forced to target you with tomes/kunais/bows, or spend an extra action weakening you from range before finishing you off. Far from useless.

    Yes, this is probably true for in-game, but I was specifically referring to PvP. Since we can expect everyone to be at caps in their important stats, every point matters. And I don't really understand what you're trying to say, I don't have to "optimize around" her personal skill when she's always going to have it. She doesn't absolutely have to go Berserker, but it's a good postgame choice for her is all I'm saying.

    Justifying using up Effie's S-Support reclass option on Berserker in order to make use of her personal skill sounds sounds a lot like optimizing around it, if you ask me. Since she can't A+ Luna, Berserker means giving up Sol access, and seeing as Effie has excellent growths in all the important physical skills, going Berserker seems rather short-sighted when you have better units to fulfill the damage-output role and limited ways to set up good tank sets.

  11. Zero. You'll appreciate having trained him when you run into double flier guard stance teams like the reinforcements in Chapter 14.

    Otherwise, it's up to your preference. I find it nice to have units with either high speed or high defence ready. A good defensive unit can take very little damage even if they can double you.

    Effie. Pieri. Berka. At least one of the Mercs [Luna/Lazwald]. Tank up.

  12. Alright, I might do that. But I'd at least like for someone who actually has her to confirm it first. Surely someone must have noticed...

    Anyway since I don't have the game either these are some skills that I feel will be good from a PvP theorycrafting standpoint:

    Effie's Super Strength: if you can get Effie access to Berserker (and why wouldn't you, it's like the perfect class for her), then at capped Strength she will have at least 5 higher strength than basically everyone else that isn't a Berserker. Free +3 damage.

    ... If we're at the point of capping stats +3 damage isn't really significant enough to be optimizing around.

    I'd *much* rather get Effie Merc access for PavSol, Diamond Strike, Defense Formation and probably Patient Assurance in that last slot so she can get +6 on some enemies when tanking EP. [i tried wrangling Renewal in there and it didn't work.] With 80% Str growth in Knight, she's leveling up Str 4/5 levels in Lunatic anyway. Pretty sure she'll have that Str lead on all but the most extreme physical classes, and make a pretty awesome Great Knight.
