  1. source: https://twitter.com/hasetch_tenchou/status/712946421180145664 It does not explain how 5/3 works, it simply announces that for the Medallion(Green) cards, other than the normal Promoted Class, they have new Ultimate Promoted Class(referring to the 5/3 Elincia) that they can class change to, as part of their idea to buff Medallion cards. And with reference to the video game itself, it means its the tier 3 class according to the serenesforest's game info for Radiant Dawn, i.e. Myrmidon(Unpromoted Class/Tier 1) -> Swordmaster(Promoted Class/Tier 2) -> Trueblade(Ultimate Promoted Class/Tier 3) The first gold bullet line simply says that the debut of Binding Blade characters in Cipher. Second: Addition of new cards for Medallion(Green) that debuted in Series 3, of course with Radiant Dawn characters to boost the Medallion set. Third: SR+/R+ cards don't only get the special foil treatment but they also get alternate illustrations(as mentioned on the latest livestream which some or most of us who kept up with the news should know by now). Segment on the left is what I covered in the first paragraph ^. On the right, with the pretty booster 1 cost Roy art, it announces the buff in support skills for Divine Weapons(Purple) set, whereby there will be character(s) with 2 support skills and high cost/promoted class characters with a support skill. Just below them, it is stating the two video games referenced for Series 5. second last, Promotion News: -Cipher official homepage, niconico livestream will periodically release news(as it always has been). -Game magazines [Nintendo Dream] and [Dengeki Nintendo] that comes with promo cards etc. are being published. -Just like the well received Cipher Sai 2016(Cipher Festival 2016), there are plans to hold big events in the future. last is the info of the Cipher admin office which includes the address, telephone and email. The rest are just simple info that has already been revealed before. P.S. add :large to the end of the image url if you wanna see a higher res of it
  2. You DO get to choose, just that with your opponent's hand cards back facing you, in a sense its still random but its chosen at random by you not your opponent.
  3. you said a LOT like when on attack I'm definitely rolling into a promoted card instead of one of my 1 cost attack emblems or one of my 20 supports, last I count the ratio of attack emblems & 20 support is more than flat 10 support? And with attack emblem I can't still hit a lord at 70 who mills a flier? and ST Chrom giving an ally unit that class changed this turn +20 attack helps to make that unit hit 100 or more no? Like I said, Robin M is to help with the losing orb at the beginning or any point of time that I have the chance to deploy him. My Lord is high chance 80 on def but on attack I can hit 90-100 too, I don't see how "the result is obvious" @ignis sphaera can you use a spoiler tag or write outside of the quote... its a bit annoying to read it in between the contents in the quote. anyway, yeah sure anyone will normally take that first 2 orb break, but the subsequent ones? and what if among the orbs you drew didn't had any of your lord cards for your crit/evade? I never said if my opponents will LIKE or DISLIKE taking 2 orbs, I'm saying the dual orb break helps even out the orb race. Its not exactly standard, for some decks to fit in more cards they have to ratio either 4/3 or 3/2 and that reduces that units crit/evade chance but of course provide better variety in their deck mechanism. Ok basically that Robin M was in reply to ScarletFlame's suggestion to drop him, like would you disagree that the orb he helps to revive could be crucial at times? Really give him a try if any of you haven't before asking me to drop him cause he worked most of the time for me and he provides constant 20 support for a sword which is not bad considering all the promoted non-MC swords are 10 supports only My mention of Lon'qu is him as a good attack unit and nothing more, I didn't said he have to tank for 4 turns or be untouched for 4-5 turns. Aha you said no pressure but see you will be wary of him and want to get rid of him asap, that's exactly what I want him to do, so as to draw at least 1 attack(or more if he happens to survive) away from my Lord. Also, I will refrain from class changing him early unless I either have ST Chrom on the field already or I have say another 1-2 sword units on the field besides Chrom. Basically he is just another sword unit who happens to benefit from presence of sword units on the field that's all. Now about Lucina, I don't know if you have some dislike for her or what but if I draw into 3 20s, high chance its either Chrom, Lucina or Robin M all are good. You do realise that I can put back any 1 card from my hand to the top deck not just from the 3 cards I drew right? Or maybe your understanding or mindset of the skill is different like how you understand drawing engine and refresh engine? Anyway, if I have to put back a 20 support or 10 support then so be it, I just have to target something else I can kill or use one of the other small unit to waste that support. I saying he is a staple bond card for an all-sword deck, like he would be put into bond directly or put on the field for extra attack chance. Sure you ignore him that's good then my promoted Lon'qu will get the bonus +10 attack power and if I have another Gregor in hand I will just crit. If he is ignore then so be it. 1 cost Inigo is for the early rush and also 30 emblem attack, I'm only concerned with attack here not defense. SR Chrom I have pulled off quite a number of times. LOL you sound like I put only promoted units in my deck like seriously. "Wow, cool themed deck man!", It sounds like you don't really want any help with your deck at all, you just want to show it off. -nah if I wanted that I would have created a new thread with a title of that sort. and no its not that I don't like fliers or archers, I do have a Minerva deck full of fliers and previously a pure white Kamui (M) deck with full Takumi and Setsuna. Initially, it was built as a fun theme deck, I have play tested this deck a number of times and it happened to work better than I thought. And like you said you don't mind taking that 2 orbs, similarly, I don't mind too to lose out on defense to take some orbs since i get to have more cards in hand to plan my next attack. Try this deck out I'm sure you will find it fun, and come on everyone here is to play to win even if its casual, unless you are telling me you are aiming to go Japan and join their official tournaments then ok sorry for taking up your time. Its just really sad to see every single time someone post something and the first thing you guys can say is add fliers without thoroughly understanding the reason/mechanism/theme behind it. Its like looking at parents telling their children "look just follow this fixed path we have for you and you won't go wrong", sure it probably won't go wrong, but where's the fun and the unique experiences to be gained if you don't try something else? Anyway, I was just looking to see if anyone could provide some suggestion on probably the ratio I should put the for units and/or what other blue sword units to swap out for. If no then its fine, like VinceKnight said I'm also currently waiting for S4 to see if the new Chrom and any other blue sword units will be available and hopefully fit in. Peace out.
  4. By the way, Siegbert is a Sword-user not Lance.
  5. The MC is Chrom, in case my dp and the top left enclosed in snapcase 1 cost foil Chrom from the starter deck wasn't obvious. This is meant to be an all sword, all blue theme deck. Call it a no-fliers therapy if it makes you feel better about no fliers in the deck. - If you look carefully, this deck is an all out agressive with mid-high chance of double orb destroying attacks, mainly due to ST Chrom, 1 cost Lucina Hero Emblem and presumbly a class changed Owain. - Due to the maxed out copies of each card(except 2 cost Lucina since its already a total of 11 Lucinas, promoted Lon'qu, Gaius, and promoted Owain), I tend to have a higher chance to go for a critical despite a 10/20 support. - Yes I might lose out on defense but that's what Robin M is for, unless you got no idea what he does. - If I have a class changed Lon'qu on the field, he is minimum 60 to a max of 120 (rare but if I'm lucky enough to get all them swords out) attack which is strong enough to handle most units without even counting support. - There is also SR Lucina who can pretty much run the show by herself if she is class changed and I have an available Lucina in hand to use her skill, it makes a lot of difference at times. - Gregor is simply there as a staple bond card or early game extra attacker and also because he contributes to Lon'qu if the latter is on the field. - The 1 costs are there to serve as the 30 supports on attack, Inigo is used here because when Lucina is on the field he is a 50 which is good for early game attacks. - Not to forget the SR Chrom who can boost everyone for another extra 30 attack power and single out the opponent's MC. tl;dr: I don't think the statement "10 Supports are never needed." is true and if fliers is all people can suggest then please keep your fliers.
  6. I see people having fun posting decks here. Let me post mine. =) have fun rating guys!
  7. It isn't a 'must' to choose exactly 2 cards or 3 cards(if she CC-ed). In the case that your opponent has less than the stated number of cards in hand then he/she simply discards his/her whole hand into the discard pile. This is already answered in the official FAQ Q.29 for the card.
  8. One thing to note about why Zero is different from the usual thief is because of the type of weapon he wields. You don't see any Thief class from previous FE games wielding a bow do you? They wield only swords. But in Fate, Zero is a thief with a twist i.e. he wields a bow instead of a sword. How the NA official translation will turn out is none of my business and I couldn't care less, but more importantly is how closely the cards' skills sticks to the theme of the game they are from. And trust me, the weapon wielded, gender, and unit type are factors much more important than the job title in the Cipher card game, job titles are(in my honest opinion) still cosmetics for flavour. Until now, skill effects checks the faction, gender, weapon wielded, unit type(flying, dragon, beast etc.) on the card, not the job titles. Refer to page 6 of the official rulebook provided in the series 1 starter decks, at the bottom they stated it themselves that icons (3), (4) - A~C icons are referred to in skill uses. There might be some exceptional card that uses job titles in the future, but it is probably only that 1 or 2 cards. Don't seem like the card design team would want to deviate too much away from the format they set.
  9. no Cherche promoted CCS skill is +10 to OTHER ally flying units
  10. to be more precise, its at least 1 faced up Awakening bond Player that go first follow through all phases as per normal EXCEPT drawing a card and attacking with any unit. So activation of skill is fine.
  11. 4) I already answered that two posts before yours. It is really just simply putting a promoted unit on top of an existing unit(DOESN'T MATTER IF THIS UNIT IS UNPROMOTED OR PROMOTED) with the same unit name on the battlefield. You only have to pay the Class Change Cost to do this.
  12. Chosen Future of the Princess Kamui(F)'s first skill only allows you to choose and move one enemy unit from the Rear to the Frontline(or not move it at all as this is optional). and it should be Chosen Future of the Prince Kamui(M), not Princess xD Battlefield, Bond Area, Support Area, Discard Pile are open info for both players, therefore you definitely can see your flipped bonds and even your opponent's flipped bonds. But as a practice of good card manners, always ask for your opponent's permission before touching any of their cards.
  13. Nope, SR Xander's 2nd skill is "When this unit class changes" instead of "When another unit class changes"
  14. Class Change occurs when you pay the Class Change Cost, the class names are decorative purposes(for now) and does not affect the Class Change process in anyway. The game checks for an existing same character name unit on the field, the number of bond cards you have on the field and whether you got at least one faced up bond card of the required colour to pay for the Class Change Cost. No Class Name is being checked here and nowhere in the rulebook or the official site rules and faqs mentioned about needing the Class Name to be different. Class Change bonus of drawing a card follows immediately after a Class Change occurs. There's no half-half in Class Change, you pay Class Change Cost means that unit has "Class Changed", you pay Deployment Cost means there is no Class Change involve. Simple and clear.
  15. Since a clearer Kagerou card image is revealed by the official twitter today, Kagerou's Attack Support Skill - Ninja's Emblem states that if you discard a card from your hand, at the end of the battle, instead of putting her card into the discard pile, deploy her onto the battlefield in action completed state(in other words, tapped) Also, cost 5 Ryoma's second skill is to choose a cost 2 or below Hoshido unit from the Discard Pile area, not from the player's hand.
