  1. Dude, Niles one-rounded the entire map except Flora and the boss with the help of attack stance. Not even someone with good attack, just about anyone did the trick. Mozu couldn't manage because she couldn't double. No, I did mean the fighters! He one-rounded the fighters with an attack stance! 4 extra damage more or less was enough! And this was at base, mind you. What are you on about?
  2. BASE LEVEL IN HIS JOIN MAP IN THE HIGHEST DIFFICULTY, SHRIMPY FOR FUCK'S SAKE IT'S LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE NOT TO SEE IT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ...Sorry. I just... sorry. I mean, Niles does that too. It's fuckin' pegs, any archer worth their salt could one round them. It'll take more than that to impress me.
  3. Aaaaaaaaaaaaand Niles missed. So I ended up giving Mozu the boss kill. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand Mozu missed. So Elfuigi 2 took it. I hate both of you.
  4. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh I can't give her the boss Because the boss one-shots her. And I don't trust her 79% hitrate. ...Okay, no, with Felicia's help she doesn't die, buuuuuuuuuuut I'd rather give the level to Niles. Not out of hatred for her, but I want him to have a couple levels under his belt by the time he has to confront Haitaka. Soooo yeah. Too bad. The second part is 50/50. The first part is the absolute truth. She can't double fighters. Niles can, and with an attack stance he one-rounds. Also, she takes a bazillion damage from everything, whereas Niles can at least face tank mages if I need him to. Sure, Felicia is better at that, but he can do it, and he one-rounds them without help! He has been so much more useful than Mozu in his join map, it's not even funny. Which, hey, fair enough, she's supposed to be an Est and all. I'll give her some more time, no problem. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuut you guys told me she'd already be better than him now and already be one-rounding things now. So that's wrong already. We'll see how much more wrong you can be by the end of this.
  5. Ahhhh, she can't double fighters. Yeeaah, I see the killing machine now. ...You know, maybe I expected too much. It's not like you guys were telling me she's the best unit in the game. I should temper my expectations a bit. Of course she's going to be a worse Niles when he still has an advantage of 1 level. I have to wait for her to catch up.
  6. Okay, paralogue done. Mozu has made it to level 6, and she beats Felicia in strength. Good for her. She also has one more point than Niles, which means nothing because he can use the iron bow and she can't. Still not seeing the invincible murder machine that will break the game in half and is superior to the likes of Seth, to be completely forthcoming with you all, but I suppose there's still time, isn't there. I can't jump straight to "murder by misplacement within reach of the enemy," can I.
  7. I am a fucking idiot. I forgot to buy a bronze bow for her. This better be fucking worth it, you guys. This is an amount of favoritism that I reserve for my favorite characters, and this chick ain't that, lemme tell you that much. She'd best not fail me, for my wrath shall demand blood if she does.
  8. Okay, so how am I supposed to give her the entire paralogue, again? You guys talked about it like it's some super easy task that a baby could pull off, but I don't see a feasible way to get to her without killing a single faceless. At minimum I'd have to kill the six faceless in the way so that I can at least approach without someone dying. How the hell do you guys do it?
  9. Damn you, Shrimperor. Damn you and all of your ancestors! I'm doing it now. The fuss that it is all about will be seen by me.
  10. Bah. ...Oh yeah, that's right. I did promise I'd use Mozu to figure out what the fuss was all about, didn't I... Siiiiiiiiiiiigh... Buuut damnit, I don't wanna give her the first heart seal, I wanna give it to Elfuigi... Maybe I can save paralogue 1 until after the Fortaka. What do you think?
  11. Oh wow, Arthur got a good level. Even had luck! Not bad. Maybe I'll use you this time, friend. My first run ended unfortunately, but I won't be convinced that it was your fault. My, my. Missing Niles, are we?
  12. And so, you once again miss out on the glory of Haitaka. Truly a tragedy.
  13. Yeah, except he can survive, so you get to dance him out with Azura and try again. It's a bit tedious, but this is straight up just "you got one shot, you failed? Too bad, restart the chapter". Well, I'll give it this much: Awakening was a much better speedrun game. In Awakening, anyone could become a successful speedrunner, because the game is so bad that you want it to end as soon as possible!
  14. Screw it. I am sick of reading the story of Conquest, of all things, for a mod that I'm not even sure is working properly. I'm removing the mod and skipping the story from here on. The Gay Fates supports are all that matters anyway. But first, dinner. So it would appear. I can relate. That's how I felt when Trails was the talk of the town. You have my sympathies. Now join us. Play Fates, Cosmo.
  15. Okay, so chapter 7's intro with the Good Guy Garon is... entirely unchanged. Which is weird, because in the mod's thread there's a video that shows a different scene. I don't get it, did I not install the mod properly? That doesn't really make sense, other scenes are changed and the mod version shows up in the main menu. Did the modder just remove that scene in one of the mod's versions? I don't get it. Oh, well, I suppose it's one of the less dumb Garon scenes, so it's fine. I mean, it's still a Garon scene, so it's incredibly dumb, but less so than the rest I guess.
  16. Hahahahahahahah I had forgotten Garon T-poses in Conquest too. I would argue she's far worse than Niles against Haitaka. She just exactly gets doubled, she faces WTD and Haitaka's resistance isn't that much lower that she's going to be dealing tons of damage to him. You 100% need to level her up and pray that she gets a point of speed on her 30% growth.
  17. Sure, Caeldori works too. Well... More or less, yes, but a lot more times until everyone is dead.
  18. I did tell you. It's a bit of a shame. Benny. Aptitude Iggy let's go.
  19. His defense is perfect or something. Really doubt he reaches Benny's levels of rock, though. I hardly used him in my own BR run. Kinda wish I did, now that I've seen Caeldori in HoF. She seems cool, Awakening clone shenanigans aside.
  20. Yes! I figured it out, goddamnit! I solved the great mystery of modding Fates! Layton trained me for this. ...Pffft. Well, at any rate, it's great to see all those S supports. And as an added bonus, I added the Shigure hair inheritance and voice select mods, now that I know how to do this shit. Absolutely excellent. Honestly though, I'm such a fucking idiot. The instructions for Gay Fates explicitly said that I should use the old version of Paragon because the new ones don't have import. Why can't I read? Now I'm only wondering if Gay Fates will make Flora join early. The instructions detailed a way to remove this feature (I want as little meddling with the gameplay as possible), but I'm not sure if importing with Paragon will affect this. Ah, who cares. We'll find out when I get to chapter 8. If she joins there, well... Too bad, but I never use her anyway, so who cares, really.
  21. Oki-dokie, made it to chapter 6. ...As it turns out, Gay Fates is just generally bugged, and I know why. It's the icon mod. I need to use Paragon to install it properly. Welp. That sucks big time. Now I need to figure out how to use that thing... Damnit.
  22. Okay, so in the Good Guy Garon mod, Garon blushes. 10/10 I'm already glad I installed this mod.
  23. Here is my latest Corncob. It's Elfuigi! After the catastrophic failure of the linked run with Shrimpy, he has returned to settle the score. However, it came with a price: he lost his eye as he escaped the doomed reality of the linked ironman. Too bad. At least he didn't turn edgy like Edgy Kabba... I'm up to chapter 3, and so far, the Good Guy Garon mod has made some subtle changes to Garon that... don't really succeed all that much in making him appear less hilariously evil. He's slightly less of a dick for no reason, but he's still a big dick. There was also this really weird bit of dialogue where Leo tells Garon that he's dispatched Kaze and Rinkah on his brother's behalf, and Garon replied with "...Leo, was it?" What's up with that? Apparently the process of turning him into a Good Guy involves giving him early-stage Alzheimer's.... Also, I'm only just now noticing that they actually made a separate model of Leo for scenes where his collar is inside out. Wow. Wasn't expecting that kind of attention to detail here. Excellent. Fuckin' amazing. Well, maybe some other run. Right now I don't feel like it. I want to get to chapter 6 so I can make sure that the supports from Gay Fates work correctly on a fresh file. Armagon coming to terms with Kaga: A psychological thriller.
