  1. To answer your first question, the line in question was a reference to an old ass dank doge meme. Yes, I'm sure. The UK got the FE Fates translation from North America, look it up. That, and they've gotten our version of the Bravely series, Mario, Donkey Kong, most Zelda, etc. Like I said, there have been some exceptions where the UK got it's own translation (FE SD, Awakening, etc), but they're few and far in between. As for the other languages, NoE usually focuses on localization more on the non-english speaking countries in Europe (Italy, France, etc) while just giving the UK the NA translation. My only guess is that the UK usually get's NA's versions of various nintendo games is because it usually saves a lot of time and money, considering all the languages NoE has to localize for while there's only 3 here.
  2. Here's the thing, LoZ was probably altered by NoE to remove the line. NoE can alter the US scripts you know. As for Awakening, That was because 8-4 localized Awakening for North America and Europe needed its own translation. Besides, remember "boingy bits"? 99.9% of the time, the UK gets the US version of various Nintendo games. Those games you listed were exceptions.
  3. We all know it's going to be Treehouse though. Think about it, this is going to be a bigger budget FE game than Echoes was, it's coming out for a new console, and Treehouse has had a history of localizing FE games that are higher in budget (I.E. FE7, PoR, RD, and Fates). The only reason Awakening wasn't localized by them was because NoA didn't want to pay too much for something that could fail.
  4. At least for the non english speaking countries. The UK is going to get stuck with our translation sadly.
  5. I remember that they made a reference to gun control in Paper Mario Color Trash for example. That, and they're the reason why North America doesn't get as much cool stuff as Europe. But other than that, the ect thing is really just meant for any other games/practices I can't think of right now.
  6. Even then, there are other sources out there saying NoA and Treehouse assisted 8-4 in localization. I'm aware that it's not a small group taking care of everything. But still, that doesn't excuse their awful practices. Hell, even SEGA, as bad as they are (I.E. PSO2) are better than Nintendo is.
  7. http://kotaku.com/xenoblade-chronicles-xs-director-on-localization-change-1796157409 "While Nintendo of America localized Xenoblade Chronicles X, Nintendo of Europe is handling Takahashi’s next game, Xenoblade Chronicles 2. " As for TMS # FE, I read that somewhere on Operation Rainfall's website but can't find the article.
  8. Either way, NoA SHOULD be focused on getting more western third party support for the Switch and not on the localization. NoA doesn't know what they're doing and I hope Fils-Amie gets fired.
  9. "Over 9000" in XY, Treehouse helped 8-4 with Xenoblade and NoA forced Atlus to censor and change dialoge. NoA is awful.
  10. So, being unsatisfied with their work is somehow a bad thing?
  11. Here's the thing, the older FE games NoA translated and localized? Those were done by older members of Treehouse at the time. We hate Treehouse now not only for what they did with Fates, but other games like Xenoblade X, newer Pokemon, SMT X FE, etc. That, and they're run by liberal cucks who get triggered by everything and support pedophilia (I.E. Alison Rapp). Hell, I even tweeted at one of the members of Treehouse on twitter simply to tell them this: "Never localize Mother 3. We don't want any cringe worthy memes on it" and was immediately blocked after that. No discussion, no freedom of speech, nothing. As for the change to Henry's character, Vet fans hate that too. We're sadly just the minority. Treehouse doesn't deserve any chances for JRPGs after the shit they pulled and because of the far left SJW cucks working there.
  12. Does anyone know of the sales of this game in the US and Europe? I can't seem to find the sales numbers?
  13. 1. They brought it over because they saw it do well in Europe. They only care about money. 2. The devs are probably giving Treehouse the scripts and dialogue to translate as we speak. Besides, we didn't have to wait too long for BotW to come out here in the west or the 3DS Pokemon titles.
  14. Remember Xenoblade Chronicles and how long it took for it to come to the America? Yet, the localization for Echoes took about a month. That's probably due to them working along side the development team and the same can apply to the new game.
  15. I'd say Treehouse is localizing the new game right now as we speak. My guess is that 8-4 localized SoV because Treehouse was too busy localizing the new game. NoA doesn't care about their fans.
  16. Nintendo can go fuck itself for not including other characters from other games. Nintendo sucks dick and they should die.
  17. And I'm not trying to start any "fires or add fuel to them". I'm just simply saying I'm liking all the controversy in this and I'm grabbing my popcorn.
  18. How can I reply when I just logged on not too long ago? Also, when did I get such a bad rep? lmao EDIT: I meant to say "reply early"
  19. You do realize it was 8-4 that localized Xenoblade X, right? EDIT: Also, I'm enjoying the controversy that is this thread :3
  20. So, I'm a godly shiposter who's good at exaggerating? Thanks for proving it to me with your butt hurt response! :D
  21. Fun fact, I've actually made posts that aren't related to localizations. Try again bitch.
  22. And now they're starting to pull a Pokemon. IS and Nintendo need to learn that Fire Emblem of all things is NOT for kids. It's for Teenagers and Young Adults that are into Anime and other nerdy shit. Fuck NoA for indirectly making them globalize the franchise like what happened to Pokemon.
