  1. I agree: FE10 stands out because it's one of the FE games with the most diversity in in-game (in-map) mechanics/options/items, including map design tiles/resources (ledges4life). When you're done with the "Normal" version of RDX (I like this abreviation) and if you release what you've learned about map editing, I'd be interested to see what people (including you) can come up with in single-chapter hacks of FE10. Maybe Ragefest 7?
  2. To add on vanilla RD's criticism: Regarding difficulty, someone decided it was a good idea for Hardmode to completely remove all weapon triangles. Admittedly the WT is something that almost only plays in the player's favour, but removing it takes away such a big mechanic... This is why I advised DLuna to make build ReDux on top of Normal, and if he makes a Lunatic version, also build it on Normal and release it separatedly.
  3. With all the changes to magic, I wouln't even try releasing a savefile-friendly upgrade at this point. An up-to-date version of just Part 1 would be fine though. You gonna do the periodic character chart for everyone though? There's way more units than days left.
  4. Your Wii is gonna be completely fine wether you play an older version or a new one or whatever, nothing bad will happen to it. Now, your savefile though: from the looks of things, if you start with the Part-1-only version and then update, you'll have to start anew. If you try to load a part-1 save with the full mod, worst case scenario is game freeze, but that's nothing 4 seconds holding the Wii's power button can't solve.
  5. In Awakening Micaiha is a Dark Mage (or promotion), so in the picture she is wearing the stupid sexcy Dark Mage clothing from that game, muuuuuch sexier than the bishop clothing. So, since Micaiah was to be that sexy, she also was to handle dark magic. And I think that's not a weapon, but a Skill. I venture she no longer gets Corona (booooooring), but something else.

  7. Wait a minute, is that a book or an ancient Duel Disk on Leo's bow arm, to carry his magic cards? Right now I'm not sure what would be apropiate for Balberith. If you can give Con, then sure, it'd be funny to have something to let Micaiah or Pelleas shove the heaviest critters, mechanically useless as it might be. If not, then I'd settle for +SKL?
  8. Cool, I almost forgot you also made staff fighting viable; Pelleas is gonna put his royal scepter to use. Going by your hints, Oliver is gonna beautify the dawn out of those unfashionable golden armors. Yeah, if it's pointless then maybe you should take away the STR boost and make it weigh less. Incidentally, weapons can't provide +Con bonuses, can they?
  9. That makes me wonder how Pelleas will shine though. Usually he'd be the one using his corrupted mentor's weapon, as most literaturally appropiate.Speaking about Balberith, is there any reason why they made it give +3 Str instead of just reducing its weight by 3?

  11. Yeah, I was gonna say you should maybe increase her str caps, maybe so she can gain up to 3 points per tier. This way if you use an energy drop you can still roll for dat 2% the rest of levels, BEXP or not.
  12. I think the 2% growth is so that she can still get some by BEXP leveling before promoting (and healers' EXP supply is easy to control). I think a single Energy Drop at tier 2 does the job, andd you still have the 25-35 levels before tier 3 to gain another single level-up point,

  15. I very much like that (and also the two kinds of Gold Knight), if Oscar can't use a bow, the Greeangle Attack is compromised.
  16. Heh, I like to think Oscar just uses the staff to stir his stew, which is what he actually heals people with.
  17. Astrid with a Heal staff in her dubting chapter might be a very good idea actually. Fits her dynamic with Makalov too. It would be enough with a cap at E-rank, and a D-rank (that's the Mend right?) upon promotion.
  18. Well, maybe it could be better if instead of the 16/15/1 average, you showed the 16/15 average and the promotion gains (since you say you've used them to further define units with unique ones). SHame Meg can't use staves, but she seems like she has the potential for card games. Well, first you'd need to figure out how to edit Eclipse so it's not a OHKO against Ike.
  19. Personally, the one skill I have always found unbalanced not in terms of difficulty, but in terms of "fun", is Nihil. Specifically, how the Nihil vs Nihil (also applied to Mantle IIRC) scenario is a complete ignorance of all other skills instead of just a mutual canceling of the two Nihils. This takes almost all the tension away from the Black Knight fight, though I'm blaming this on the fact that nothing in vanilla can survive a single Eclipse, somI understand why you want to remove that skill out of the equation against the player. The fight is not nearly as fun as the one in PoR. This all reminds me, will you remove the "Armored" tag from make the Black Knight (enemy version) to prevent Ike from cheesing that climax of a swordsmanship duel with a hammer? Surely he's had the time to use a little of his Godess' power to fix his armour by then, portrait be damned.
  20. Good idea on the spirit weapons' ranges. The only thing I'mmhaving doubts about is the Silver Longbow's usefulness period if the Double Bow has a max range of 5 too (maybe it could be 1-4). Also I find it funny you bothered to put high WEXP on SS ranked weapons.
  21. Hypothetically speaking, would it be feasible to, despite the small inaccuracy with the dialogue it would cause, keep Elincia armed at 3-10, but make it so it is at that point that she gains Mercy? This way units that attacked her still wouldn't die, but would at least retreat to heal.

If you think Resolve is kinda OP when you're able to swap it around (and I kinda agree), later down the line if you try prying into how/where skills' effects are coded, you could try and compare between Resolve's codes in the jap and the west versions, as it activates at 20% HP in the jap version. If you can get it to do the same in the US/PAL version, then maybe it'll be worse enough to allow passing around. As an aside, can you edit Zelgius' data in 3-4 so he uses something better than an Iron sword against Skirmir? A silver sword or a steel blade would fit better with what he wields in the previous pre-rendered cutscenes.
