  1. Gonna have to stop playing (am at second half of 1-6-2) for two weeks to focus on exams, and right now I don't have time to properly redact current feedback, but I just wanted to thank you for one more thing: KillerBow Leo and WaoDao Edward make for amazing Gamblers; the first gets 40-60 crit at 50-75 hit, and the latter gets 50-66 crit (which is gonna go further beyond when he promotes) at 60-80, depending on supports; of course this is 100% hit when in Wrath range. Gamble is finally fun to use.
  2. Could you at least make that longbowman not move from his spot then? It's not him attacking that's the problem, it's him blocking the iron sword cavalier from attacking and chokepointing the door by helding that red gem hostage. He's in a very appropiate spot to snipe from anyway. Also, fun fact: when shooting a longbow and the shortest possible route to the target tile is blocked by bow-blocking terrain (like pillars or non-collumned walls), the hit penalty applied is the correct one for the longer path the arrow takes around the obstacle. So yes, curving the bu- ehem, the arrow, is a thing.
  3. Engine bug report: It might be that giving Canto to cats has the side-effect of restoring their full transformed movement upon transformation, or near that: an untransformed cat moved its full untransformed movement of 7 tiles, transformed, attacked, and then retreated 8 tiles (its full transformed movement is 9). EDIT: Also, consider making the upper longbowman's red gem in 1-3 droppable instead of stealable only: Not onlly does the map now heavily discourage using the eastern path - it is also impossible to split between the two routes in a timely manner and get all the main stealables without having to let that longbowman become a an annoyance, as you can't move past the door until you have baited the boss to the lower left where Sothe'll have been stealing the other red gem and the ruin, and sometimes he'll move and block the enemy cav with the droppable iron sword from attacking, putting everyone into a deadlock until Sothe makes his way there or you can shove him back. EDIT 2: Does the "thief" staff allow to steal from enemies too? If not, that's a bit of a confusing rename.
  4. I just realised why Resire is (at least in part 1) more "OP" than I thought it was - because, unlike bows, it doesn't lose any hit at 3 range. 1-1's second half is trivialised by sticking Micaiah in front of the boss and oneshotting the longbowman with Resire when you do so - in enemy phase she's gonna kill the scholar and bring the boss to minimum HP, and enter player phase with full HP (I don't remember if there was yet another ranged unit, but if so she killed that too). This way you can easily rout the enemy 3 turns before the extra reinforcements come from the top. Maybe setting Resire's internal weapon type to bow instead of knive (if that's what you did) would make it lose hit at 3 range? Also, Lara helping me LTC by healcritting a scholar for 24 damage.
  5. For those interested, here's a Dolphin savefile with clear data, so you can play NG+ with map animations disabled, and get Pellie whenever Dunal releases up to that part. It's at the point where you can import your PoR data too if you want (if you know how to do that with Dolphin; I always just do the transfer on the Wii and then bring the savefile back to dolphin). FE10_US.dat Also, Dunal, put the word "install" or some derivative of it where you mention to use ppf-o-matic on the OP, so that people can simply ctrl+f "install" to know how to do it (it'd be nice if you added a tiiiiiiiny readme on the download telling you to use ppf-o-matic too). EDIT: Oh, and maybe you should rename "ReDux+" to "WIP" or "DISABLED" (it's gonna be a separate patch anyway), or at least mention in its description that it's not done yet, so that unaware people starting NG+ don't try it.
  6. I'd PM you, carreau, but you've got messages disabled or something.
  7. Dunal, you shenaniger, you set to patch A the iso that two years ago was patch B! And while we're at it, you could've added the .ppf file extension to the patches. Anyway, got it wrking now. The MD5 for ISO A is 5D030F0F1B2D893D239227EF639FD7FC. If that's not your MD5 and patch B ain't working for you either, PM me and I'll tell you how to change your MD5 to this one.
  8. You should provide the hash or md5 or whatever it’s called of the ROMs in question, that would help people know if they’ve got the right ones. If you haven’t already; I haven’t downloaded it yet.
  9. I believe in the power of timezones; dunal’s still got time.
  10. Watching shadow’s stream roght now; even jf he doesn’t have their absurd HP, I think Tornadier deserves to be called an Elite too, in lieu of wielding a freakin’ S-rank tome by that point, and in such a strategic position (compouned when the Elwind reinforcement hsows up, and they cna both hit the same square 2 spaces away from the ledge).
  11. Meg doesn’t remotely look like a pur defensive tank to me; she’s the one with the most speed and res of the four. Might be an HP tank too or not, I’d have to see Brom and Gatrie’s growths nad caps to tell, but one of those two is probably the most def one.
  12. Hey, you know what I just thought of that would be both really funny, and a cool implementation of stort/gameplay integration? Give the horses (the riderless, Other-army horses) in 3-whatever Daunt. Now them galloping around the place does have an effect relevant to your objective of causing chaos around the enemy camp.
  13. I think you would honestly be better off removing most of the outdatet stats from the front page. Leave the affinity and byprrythm chnages if you want (and add a WTA list), but remove the outdatet unit stats and growths.
  14. You think you could change skill scrolls’s descriptions to be the same as their respective skills?
  15. And where does one watch his second playthrough?
  16. For those of you interested, shadow0825 semirecently stream his playtesting of RaDawnX (I'm really trying to come up with a good pet name here) on its by-then current state, up to the chapter with the muddy hostages. https://www.twitch.tv/shadow0865/videos/all It's been a while since I watched it so it's not that fresh, but I can remember these main points: Shamicaiah rocks. Edward run out of swords (starting Slim Sword and the chest's Wind Edge) before reaching convoy and shop; consider switching starting weapon to Bronze Sword and have a myrmidon (either one of those in 1-1 or replacing a bandit in 1-E with one; I'd choose the latter) drop a slim sword. On that note, maybe you should reduce bronze weaponry's durability considerably, maybe to 15 (20 for bows). It's supposed to be used as a training tool after all and would break down easily from battle usage. And with their increased WEXP means you want the player to consciously decide to buy them occasionaly for that purpose, instead of always keeping one and carry it through many chapters while using it consistently. While dark magic's +7 Prot against metal weapons (which I assume you accomplish as a non-contrareciprocated weapon disadvantage from sowrds/lances/axes) does indeed seem a bit excessive in part 1, I'm confident that further into the game the much bigger HP pool sizes will balance it appropiately. Holy Starting Positions And Player/Enemy Reinforcement (lookin' at you, Sothe) Spawn Points Replacement Batman. Ilyana eats soldiers for breakfast. As a joke, give Fortune to Aimée. Would actually be a bit of RNG-proof to ensure she can tank a single hit she wouldn't normally get 1RKOed from. While the prison break map's advancing wall of doom was indeed very dooming, I'm not sure if it makes canonical sense for it to be there at that time. Instead, you could replace it with a lv20 sword-wielding general (give'im celerity if you can). If you can also replace the armored sword that represents Alder in the cutscenes with a general, even better, as it would make it clear it's him (shame he's not as a coded unit in any unused data, like Zelgius is). If you can replace promote his curscene unit like that, there's also no reason (besides contrasting with Jarod) you couldn't make him a Marshall, since his only confrontation is with the BK and being tier 3 wouldn't help him much anyway. Write some encouragement in Meg's entry (where her growths are); people might see them and your description and just assume she's still bad because of what she is, instead of thinking what different things she can do. Those druids in the desert are hilariously appropiate and useful.
  17. That last cutscene on today's video was a Dragonpapa reference, BTW- And a very neat one at that.
  18. Speaking of magical weapons, do the wind sword do effective damage against fliers, or did you to give them the same effectivelessness flag as spirit tails? I do agree that the Dragon Fang should have antilaguz effectiveness, but I’m not sure I want my fliers to be done in by storm swords. I’m also thinking that instead of dark with poison, the Dark Axe could be made into a thunder axe in order to have magical weapons for each magic type. Might be okay to let it be effective against dracos, since about the only ax user with decent magic is Titania, and Wyrmslayers are a better alternative for dracoslaying purposes. You could make the Wishblade magic-based (Light) if you hvaen’t alreday, what with thta name and all; for boss-slaying purposes, the Heavy Spear is a bit stronger at the same weight but with less hit, and its 1-range only is a factor against Deghinsea’s mastery. Also rename the Heavy Spear to Glaive Voulge or Heavy Pike, to avoid confusing it with a ranged lance.
  19. No, I meant giving Stun as a personal skill, and wether that would work while the unit was still T2. Your current distribution sounds good enough though. Tanith's usefuleness as an anti-mage will depend on how numerous and dangerous the enemy sages are in parts 4 and 5; you giving S-rank anima tomes to any of them?
  20. Does it happen with "map only" animations too? As for the Seraph knights, I dunno. Going just by the characters', I feel like Sigurd should be the tankiest one, Tanith the most offensive one, and Marcia the speediest. You could keep Blessing as their mastery but have Sigurd have Nihil or Cancel as her personal, Marcia with Crit +5 (ever considered using the +Crit skills as nontransferable personals?), and Tanith with Stun (wonder if animation works while she's still T2).
  21. One unrelated question I hoped you could answer, since you're probably the current eminence in RD code - do you know if Allied bishops using staves contribute towards the "Friendly army fought" BEXP?
  22. Oh, so in the end your version variance will be coded by affinities? You were a bit ambiguous there though and kinda make it sound like in each version all maps will be of the same affinity, but that's not so, right? And anyway, what are the map/character matching affinity bonuses? I can't seem to find them anywhere explicitly on the internet. FE wikia also claims that it boosts item-finding chance, but I don't buy it.
