Ah, I guess it's more like Starcraft 2, then, lol.

Thanks for the comments. Ah, that seems a bit similar to FE Fates, except that the stories don't have a shared route. I wouldn't mind doing it, but I doubt I would have the time for both. I'll probably try the originals at least a bit though, I've always wanted to see what they were like. Back when Fates was announced, I really thought about doing that, but just couldn't find the time, and now not only has it been released, but there's even the 3rd path out now. It would probably take at least 5 months (probably more) to work my way up through all the games to get to fates Fates, so for now, I started playing Fates (probably going to choose Anya route first) on classic hard mode. Since there doesn't seem to be (so far) a major connection to previous titles in the series, I'll probably work my way up starting from the first after I finish Fates. Incidently, I'm finding the game really difficult right now, as it's really different from the previous tactical rpgs I've played like FFT, Tactics Ogre, or the more recent Devil Survivor 2. I'm enjoying it though. :)

:) Yeah, it's alwyas fun to compare and play through the older and new games in a series. Oh yeah, speaking of which, are the remakes better than the originals, or would it be better to play through the Nes, Snes games instead? I also have a few questions about running FE If, but I guess I'll post it in another thread.

Thanks :) I'm not sure yet, but I'll probably either go with FE1 remake (Shadow Dragon assuming I'm not wrong), or possibly Awakening, if its directly connected to Fates, storylinewise. I've been wanting to check out the FE series for several years now, but ended up putting it off because I just didn't have time (it's hard to commit to a long-running series), but I couldn't resist once I saw the trailer for Fire Emblem If, lol.

Hi, as my name heavily implies, I'm a RPG fan, lol. I especially like JRPGs (tactical, action, you name it), but also have a soft spot for WRPG. I don't have a favorite Fire Emblem, because I've just recently decided to get to know the series, starting with the game that pushed me to the edge, Fire Emblem If! This seems like a very nice in-depth forum, and a nice community, so it seems like a great place to lurk post as I delve into the great FE tapestry. I hope we all get along well. :D
