  1. It's possible the yellow box contains the info regarding whether a unit is a child or not, and thus determines whether or not they receive +1 to all caps. Also, does anybody know how to remove the white fog behind the portraits of imported units? And can the shield icon on captured and imported units be removed without negative side effects? Like, to make them look like real characters, just without supports and all?
  2. Nah, that's actually just a thing the game does, even if you don't hack. On the cards, it will always display the hair colors of other people's kids as either the default hair color, or the hair color your version of that kid has if you have them recruited. It's probably that they don't bother storing the hex values of the child's hair color in the data for the cards, so the game just uses whatever data it can. As such, there is no way to edit which hair color is shown on cards, due to the fact that it doesn't actually use data from your game.
  3. Yeah. But it disappears as soon as you do. I've tried :( You'd have to modify the character files for the english version or something so they include the cipher characters like in the japanese one or something similar.
  4. Okay, so names are names are read in according to an index, and there's no way to actually change the in-game name other than to actually patch the list of names in the game itself? That's a bit unfortunate.
  5. Hey, does anybody know if it's possible to modify the names of captured characters without averse side effects? Or even normal in-game characters? I wouldn't mind giving some captured units cooler names, or changing Lazward back to Inigo (even if it doesn't change mentions of his name elsewhere accordingly). In addition, where is the pointer for changing portraits located, and where could I find an index of people's portraits? Thanks.
  6. Oh. I see now. You save $7 by buying all the DLC together. Pre-ordering it does NOT in fact save any money at all. I'll hold off on buying the map pack until the game comes out, then. Thanks! EDIT: Oops, just saw Mango's post now, which totally says the exact same thing as me. :P
  7. Sorry, how do you save $7 by pre-ordering it?
  8. I wouldn't recommend Beast Shield. Anti-beast weaponry isn't really popular in either the main game or PVP. Nothing's gonna try and exploit your weakness. You would be better off with a different skill.
  9. They're also great at building weapon ranks on E-ranked characters. Only one point less of power than iron weapons, plus they can activate skills and crit. The +3 Attack Speed doesn't hurt either. I was lucky enough to get a Brigand Axe from My Castle right after I gained access to it. Made training Rinka and reclassed characters alot less of an annoyance. I generally play with attack animations off, so the stripping doesn't bug me too much.
  10. Shoot I'm wrong. Sorry about that. I'll pull up my game and test it really quick just to be sure. I thought for sure I knew what I was talking about.
  11. Before this is locked and possibly disappears forever, I just want to say your avatar image fits perfectly for what happened. :)
  12. Buddy and Marriage seals permanently add the class to the character's reclass list. As such, whenever they parallel seal back, they will be able to reclass to their spouse/buddy's class at any time with ease via another parallel seal. In that regard, they function identically to a DLC seal.
  13. He does indeed. Jacob passes down Wyvern Rider. I actually run Jacob as a father for the opposite reason: I feel it makes Shigure a great physical attacker. Strength mod of +3 and Speed and Skill are +4, which is fair enough. Makes a decent Berserker if you want to marry him to Velour.
  14. Does this also apply for the special edition?
  15. It's triggered by using a button command before attacking similar to how Gamble is triggered in Radiant Dawn. EDIT: Whoops, apparently I'm wrong :'(
