Digi's Achievements

  1. My memory of the ones I've played is a bit shoddy, but I think I'd have to say Fates is my favourite. Every bit of information is available at a glance with full details just a touch away, menus are easy to navigate, and aesthetically it's very pleasing - the colours changing depending on the route you're on is also very nice, especially when you can see it change pre- and post-crux of fate. Honestly, functionality-wise I think it'd be hard to match the 3DS games due to the sheer utility of a second screen with touch controls. Engage gets closer than 3H did, but on the 3DS you could get the entirety of any unit's capabilities in seconds. For least favourite, I think I'd actually say Engage - not necessarily for a lack of features or visual appeal, but for how frustrating and clunky it feels to me. The inability to see weapon might and weight without accessing a unit's inventory in the convoy and having it auto-calculated to attack has consistently been an issue for me, and it's exacerbated when shopping since they don't even show you a unit's stats for you to back-calculate mt/wt from, meaning you have to back out of the shopping menu and into the inventory screen to check stats before going back again. It might just be a consequence of me playing on Lunatic for the first time and having to deal with these systems more as a result, but so many things feel so needlessly unhelpful. Also, a more personal matter, but I'm not a terribly big fan of the arrows showing you when a unit's in range of an enemy attack, but I'm not sure if that'd count as UI or just a mechanic - though giving you damage numbers for otherwise-incalculable enemy Engage attacks is nice. I'd also like to mention Sacred Stones' which has the merit of just looking nice, though it's been too long since I last played so it's hard to go into any more detail on that, especially when nostalgia likely plays a factor.
  2. I wouldn't say I'm a fan exactly, but I do like her well enough. I'm not put off by her personality or smothering nature like others are, and I do like her design (not like that), so while I'm not the target audience for her character I can appreciate her existence. Not enough to have been excited for her to be an Emblem (especially when her title makes no sense, though I know that's a localisation matter), but enough that I was pleased to see her once the initial surprise/slight disappointment had passed. That said, I haven't played Fates since I was fairly young, so I wouldn't be surprised if refreshing my memory of her could change my opinion in either direction.
  3. Ah, I hadn't seen that, thank you very much!
  4. Not sure what their overall reception will be like, but both seem like pretty fun characters to me, Marni especially - bit of a shame neither seem like they'll probably be one of the playable villain types (at least from what I'm aware of), but you can't win them all without undermining the conflict. That aside, I admittedly haven't been watching many clips, but these two videos alone kind of make me hope for dual audio now. I know Three Houses had it, but as far as I could find it hasn't been confirmed for Engage yet, so fingers crossed.
  5. Don't worry, I have everlasting faith - perhaps this day is not the promised, but it will surely come when the time is right, and not a moment too late.
  6. "Rubia", by Zhou Shen and HOYO-MiX for a cutscene in the game Honkai Impact 3rd. It's both a really powerful cutscene and, most importantly, a really nice song, so I've found myself listening to it quite a bit recently.
  7. At last, long has this day been awaited; personally, as a devout follower of the agile, I choose to revel in its glory. All praise to the mighty, and all winds to the quick!
  8. Oh boy, time for my once-every-three-years episode of remembering my account, updating my profile, thinking I should use it more and then forgetting for another three years, I love this time of the triennium.

Funnily enough, it's only now after seven years of owning an account that I discover you can upload GIFs for a cover photo; a neat and surprisingly rare feature, I really like it.
Edit: wait, I said three years as a random guess, but looking at my history it really is every three years... slightly concerning, but I'll roll with it.

  9. To be honest, I don't actually remember most of my pairings, since the majority of them were unintentional. Here are the ones I do remember, though: Ignatz/Marianne: This was the only non-avatar pairing I intentionally worked for, since their supports were so sweet I was almost taken aback: especially since that's including their C Support, which is usually pretty unpleasant to watch (especially for Marianne). Claude/Hilda: Claude is, at least so far, my favourite of the house leaders, and Hilda was my second choice for S Support in GD (not to mention one of my most best units), so this was pretty neat to see. Avatar/Lysithea Hubert/Petra Edelgard/Lysithea Linhardt/Dorothea Bernadetta/Ferdinand von Aegir And one more that I'll need to spoiler:
  10. Hi, everyone, it's nice to meet you. I think I've actually made an introductory post before, but it's been quite literally about three years since I've last even visited this website, so I'd like to make a new one, if that's alright. In any case, hello: I'm Digi. My first Fire Emblem game was Sacred Stones, way back in 2011 when it was released on the 3DS Ambassador program. However, I was very young back then, and didn't truly get into the series until I played Awakening a fair few years later. As of right now, I've played Sacred Stones, Awakening, Fates, and Three Houses, as well as a few chapters of Radiant Dawn and a good chunk of FE7. As a person, I can't honestly say I'm particularly interesting, haha. Still, I look forward to hopefully getting to know you all, and thanks for your time reading this!
  11. Goodness gracious me, I haven't been here in years. There was a lot of profile updating to do, haha.

  12. If it's alright me asking, would anyone in EU happen to have Laslow with Death Blow?
  13. Thank you for the advice, but my castle currently isn't meant to be for skillsharing, sorry. If there's a skill you'd like, though, I could temporarily change it for that? (My apologies if I seemed at all rude or sarcastic in this post, as that wasn't my intention)
