  1. Path of Radiance: Laguz. I just don't like to play with them, never have, never will. Totally unreliable one moment, ridiculously OP the next, it just feels stupid. Also, the lack of armories and shops in the chapters themselves. The convoy is alright, but I prefer actual armories and shops like in the GBA games. Also, the OP-ness of Ike. Also, the automatic promotions after level 20. Also, no dark magic. That should actually be #1. Also, the pegasus & wyvern knight (& promoted)'s animations. Fly back, fly forward, land, hit? It just looks awkward and stupid. The crit animations are cool though. The rest was pretty awesome
  2. Welcome! Have you played any other Fire Emblem games before?
  3. I have a tiny issue, i promoted Sae'rah to a soldier and it seems she is gaining exp waaaayyyy too slowly. Anyone else experiencing this? I might be RNG blessed because practically all my units are turning out to be fantastic. Unfortunately I lost schwarz in ch.7 after a bullshit 2% crit by the last remaining enemy on the map, an archer with a longbow (fml), and I didn't feel like restarting. I missed out on Cattleya, Garion and Djambo so I'm thinking about restarting from the beginning. Menmus though... for a lvl 17 wyvern rider he's tanky af (18 def along with a lot of hp and strength), but he has 7 (!) speed. He's alright though. Christoph is crazy good, Andre is rediculous, Rya is insanely strong and fast, so overall, really good characters. Probably gonna restart tomorrow and take a look at the other characters. I love this hack so much though :)
  4. I'm enjoying the hell out of this hack so far, it's really really awesome! Excellent work, I'm really impressed. I don't really know where to begin haha. I'm currently at chapter 6 A few things that stood out for me: Story is incredibly good (already). It feels like a real Fire Emblem game, everything makes sense and I haven't noticed any open ends or whatever. When Hellios told Faratrass what was going on in the prologue, after the soldier attacked her, a song from Lufia 2 started playing and I was staring at my screen for a while, I didn't believe the awesomeness that was happening. Lufia 2 is one of my favorite games ever :) Music in general is really well done, I don't even know how you can change the music but really cool, good job. The new weapon icons are refreshing, they look cool Some new weapons with new features you added are nice (I won't spoil anything), they feel balanced and useful. Different chapter completion goals feel really cool, especially chapter 5 was a lot of fun I could go on for a while but this is just by far the best hack I've ever played. That said, I haven't played many FE hacks but still. I'm really impressed. I'd really like to see this finished and I will support this for sure. By the way, chapter 4 was a bit weird for me. It was an impressive chapter, story-wise, but the map layout was a bit tedious to get through. I understand that that was your intention, pretty much, but I didn't really like how long it took to get to Faratrass. Especially because it's not a really hard chapter per sé, it makes it a bit frustrating in the end. But that's all the criticism i have for you ;) By the way, how was I supposed to recruit Djambo? (I hope I remembered his name correctly) He got killed after chapter 4 ended, and there was nothing I could do at that point. I didn't feel like restarting so rip but can anyone explain?
  5. Looks awesome, I'll try it this weekend! I'll give some feedback as soon as I can :)
  6. Favorite: magic users (light magic in particular) and pirate/berserker. Anytime I get a pirate or berserker (which obviously isn't very often) I use them no matter what, they're just so awesome (except for Hawkeye, his name is stupid and I just don't like him). Least favorite: Knight/general because of movement issues and boring characters, laguz units from tellius, the fact that they can't fight for about half of the time renders them unusable to me, and male healers for some obscure reason. I really don't know why, I never like them and never use them..
  7. Oof.. allright there we go FE6 I'm not really sure because I haven't played it in a while. I always liked Sophia and Ray though. FE7 is probably Jaffar. He's actually really good for a prepromote and I really like his backstory. Starting out as one of the biggest enemies of the group, I was really surprised he actually joined you later on. Really awesome character. Nino is a very close second. The interaction between Nino and Jaffar is just so touching in some way. FE8: L'arachel, I think she has a pretty funny personality and I like valkyrie units. She also seemed to do really well stat-wise in all of my playthroughs. FE9 & 10: I don't really know.. I think Ike is the most likeable lord in FE I've ever come across because he's such a down-to-earth guy and NOT a noble :p but other than that I like Soren, Nephenee and Jill a lot too. FE11: I have no idea, I didn't like that game that much and I don't know any back story of any character. My overall favorite is Jaffar, FE7 had the best characters in my opinion. Yeah, FE5 and probably FE4 before that (because maybe told me :p) and nice to see a Dutch person indeed ^^Thanks for the warm welcome guys, really awesome
  8. Of course! I've played through FE6 3 times, it's amazing (just like every GBA FE). I'm thinking of giving FE5 a go soon, is it worth the time? I don't know all that much about it. Hello in Dutch is 'hallo', by the way. Nice and simple :P thanks!
  9. Yeah I kind of thought I would be, seeing as how popular Awakening is :P I know a thing or two about Awakening but it doesn't really appeal to me as much as earlier Fire Emblem games. I still feel like I have to play it though. Holy balls, I'm definitely checking that out. I like a challenge myself but man that's insane!
  10. Hi everyone! I'm Joerai from the Netherlands, i decided to create an account on here after all, better late than never! I've been a fan of Fire Emblem since FE7 (I was 10 years old back then). Got the game for my 10th birthday because i thought Roy from SSBM was such a cool guy (yeah I know I'm a walking cliché). Despite my confusion when I found out Roy was not actually in the game i loved it and never stopped loving it. I have played FE6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11. I haven't played Awakening yet but I definitely plan on doing that in the nearest possible future.I just finished another run through PoR, my personal favorite FE game, and I actually have no idea why I didn't ever register here... I know practically everything about the game mechanics, play the games with a level of OCD that I think my parents should never see, and I replay the games so often it's ridiculous. Anything else you want to ask me go ahead!
