It was still good guys versus bad guys. The senators were over the top gonk villains. Whoever was responsible went out of his or her way to make most notable enough Begnion antagonists puppy kickers. Radiant Dawn just changed the big bad nation from Daein to Begnion.

Gangrel had some presence until you beat him and Valm hijacks the story. It's like somebody at IS decided this game didn't have enough enemy countries and shoved in Valm. You have Grima, the big Fell Dragon who doesn't have that much screentime, and when he finally shows up in person, Team Chrom runs off to Valm. When he finally comes back into the story, it's "hurr, we forgot about the dragon man, better go kill him". If he's a good antagonist then so is Twillight Princess Ganon. Validar is a worse version of Gharnef. Walhart screams filler.

If Grima is Medeus then why didn't the game say so?

Grima is Medeus with some Loptous thrown in. The game never really explains that much about him. He doesn't have that much of a presence in the story. Really, did the game really need him? Couldn't we have gotten Medeus instead if only because he's already in the series? And Grima has nothing to him as a character that Medeus doesn't have? Honestly, Grima is not one of the better FE antagonists. He is Medeus on crack, but he doesn't even have that much of a presence in the game. He shows up, then Team Chrom runs off to Valm. Yay.

Or chapters that you go through and wonder if the game could have done without. Like the Valm arc in Awakening. I know that IS can do better than that.

Lyn's mode was filler. Lyn's character wasn't that important and could be cut from the game with not that much different. Also, Blazing Sword really didn't have more interesting and unique characters. Unless you think Geitz not noticing that he has a bird on his head and Guy wanting to be a Pokemon master shows such greater interest and uniqueness. Lyn was a stereotypical American tribeswoman personality wise.

Like really, is there any FE antagonist on par with Grima besides Ashera? Who can IS come up with at this point that could one-up even Grima? Or will Ashera and Grima stay at the top?

Does Dark Dragon and the Sword or Light have a tier list? And where does Jagen rank on it.

I know Titania, Seth, etc., aren't said to be bad units, but what about the original?

Wasn't RD the game where Ike hijacked the story and the Dawn Brigade ended up not being that important. And once again the final boss was some ancient being brought forth by some guy. Also, so many open racists in RD except for Shinon were one of the antagonists. And there was the Begnion Senate who were campy. And the Black Knight's reveal.

And the least incompetent. Keep it to characters like Gharnef and characters like Caellach instead of every one-chapter boss.

Eirika contributed more than Lyn through the story. Like, what did she do after her filler that was so important? All of Sacred Stones Lord characters contribute enough. Can't say that about Blazing Sword.

What makes Blazing Sword and Binding Blade's plots better than Sacred Stones. How are the the characters from either games more interesting, seeing as how many of them don't contribute that much throughout the story and don't really have a good reason to join Eliwood's party. Like Karel and Geitz. And how many chapters there were that didn't advance the story. And how Lyon was a better character than Nergal and Zephiel like how Sephiroth is a better character than Ultimecia and other FF antagonists.

Also Lyon is a better antagonist than Nergal. And others.
