  1. So I made my choices based mostly on design since I'm waiting for the English version. Voted for Gray, Luthier, Zeke, Boey and Slayde for men and Silque, Clair, and Tatiana for women. After reading translated supports I wound up liking Tatiana a lot more than I thought I would (she comes across as so cute and a bit of a klutz)!
  2. Oh alright. I didn't think recruiting Silque with Celica would besmart anyway since Silque is Alm's designated healer barring Cleric!Faye (who definitely can be recruited by Celica).
  3. Guess I'll have to be very careful exploring dungeons early on if stronger than average monsters can spawn at random. How grind heavy is this game anyway?
  4. Nice seeing confirmation that you can indeed recruit Kliff, Faye, and Silque with Celica apparently.
  5. Idk why people think Faye and the other villagers have "canon" class routes. Their only "canon" class is Villager, as they are in their official artworks. Just because many people agree that one particular class might be best for each of them based on various factors (well mainly growths, base stats, and spell lists) doesn't mean that is their canon choice, but I digress. I think her class list from best to worst is probably Cleric > Pegasus Knight > Mage > Cavalier (assuming she is with Alm, not Celica). An extra healer is always a plus and it takes the pressure of Silque since magic drains HP in this game. Peg Knight is second because it helps out her low base spd, is flying, and not very competitive since the only other one Alm gets is Clair (who will probably be better than Faye in the long-run due to her RIDICULOUS speed growth as well as high skill and luck growths). I don't think she will stand out really much in the last two classes, especially Cavalier since Alm gets Mathilda and Zeke, who will both probably outshine her in the long-term.
  6. Thanks for doing this. I'm sad Atlas is so low, but my main girl Clair is #7 so I am satisfied. I will also now rethink the idea of using Luthier long-term since he is also so high up.
  7. It seems like everyone has the same general idea on what to make the villagers, and my list is not much different. After reviewing their base stats and growth rates on the main site, this is what I have come up with: Gray- Mercenary Tobin- Archer Kliff- Mage Faye- Cleric (was originally going to go Peg Knight, but I think Cleric will give her more long-term usefulness and help ease the pressure on Silque since Magic costs Hp in this game) Atlas- still up in the air about him. Was an advocate of Archer at first but maybe Mercenary would be better.
  8. Yeah you speak for yourself with this one. As someone who got into the Fire Emblem series via Awakening, I can say that forcing children units in games where they have no bearing on the plot whatsoever (Fates) is actually pretty detrimental and can get old fast. I liked it in Awakening, but I don't want every Fire Emblem to now be "Waifu Emblem" where I have to play match maker and think about eugenics. I believe SOV will be a great game despite the lack of kids. What really makes the newer Fire Emblems good (for me at least) is the character interactions via the supports, which are being included in SOV. I wanna get to know the units I'm deploying and how they get along with each other. However, they have no business making babies while a war is going on. As for an Avatar in the Switch game, I would not mind one, but I prefer my Avatars as blank slates. I don't want an Avatar who has a personality, such a Robin or Corrin. If IS could create an Avatar that is mix between Mark and Kris that would be fine with me. We can choose their starting class and fully customize them (including skin color), but they are not too integral to the plot, acting more a observers.
  9. Voted for Clair and Mathilda in Alm's path and Atlas in Celica's. Favorite new character in Conrad, even though I think Faye is pretty cute.
  10. Haven't posted on here in a long time. But anyway, I read on the FF Wiki site that the best thing to do with him is make him an Archer. Its the least competitive class on the route and he can use his high ATK stat to do decent chip damage without risk of being countered or doubled.
  11. According to Behind the Voice Actor, the voice actress for Felicia and Setsuna is Julianne Alexander, who seems to be new to the field because she has no other roles. I hope the terrible reception to her Felicia voice when the game first came out was not too discouraging. It also seems that Natalie Lander is indeed the voice actress for Elise and Nina, not Laura Bailey.
  12. So who voices Elise and Nina anyway? People are saying either Laura Bailey or Natalie Lander, so it is a bit confusing. For that matter, anyone knows who voices Subaki, Seigbert, Felicia, and Setsuna?
  13. I voted for Shura and Scarlet. I have read the supports between Shura and the Female Avatar and they are sweet enough. Scarlet is just so cool to me that I gotta marry my Male Avatar to her so she can have a happy ending on at least one route. I like Flora too and married her on Conquest Hard, but I like Scarlet a little more (Wyvern Riders are cool to me).
  14. Wow this is just like a thread I started on the Awakening forum, except it has more responses since this game is more relevant. Anyway, I like Oboro's "This scum doesn't stand a chance!", "We're gonna win!", and "I'll do my best!" Charlotte's *gasp* "Did I do that?" The Avatar's "I make my own fate!" Orochi's "Oh, what fun!" Sakura literally screaming as her Dual Attack quote is kinda funny too. There are probably other that I cannot think of right now.
