  1. Lyn: "I cannot tell a lie - you're finished!" Only because of the Abe Lincoln memes that would result Sain: "Are you watching, ladies?" Kent: "On the honour of Caelin!" Florina: "U-um, here I go..." Wil: "Watch this! One shot!" Dorcas: "...One step closer." Serra: "Ugh, I'm so sick of you!" Erk: "Time for a lesson." Rath: "...Die." Lucius: "By St. Elmine's righteous hand..." Hector: "I'll cleave you in two!" Jaffar: "...You're already dead..." Raven: "So be it."
  2. I actually like both Ryouma and Xander. They contrast each other well, and it doesn't seem lazy. Ryouma is an idealist, Xander is a pragmatist imo. I also like Camilla as a character, because who doesn't like loving siblings? (No, I don't mean it like that, heh). I hate Selena gameplay-wise. She is horrible, and didn't get the job done like Laslow. Same with Odin, though even he was more workable. Nyx is also another character like this. I actually don't really HATE any of the Hoshido characters, I just find some of them bland at worse. I don't like that characters are expies of Cordelia, Tharja and Gaius though - is this going to be a new tradition now every game? Personality-wise I have mixed feelings about Charlotte. I like the fact that she's a bitch in sheep's clothing, but she does have an attitude problem. I like her in a love-to-hate kind of way. Peri now that I think of it is a bit grating in her demeanour. Izana pisses me off because he's a personification of the awful localisation. Hisame I dislike for being so bland in the Japanese version that they turned him into a pickle obsessed sperg.
  3. Damnit. See, everyone seems to be using the rescue staff, which is why I am stuck here. I don't have one and am not sure how to proceed.
  4. That's very sound, I'll try all of this. I don't have a rescue staff/Vanished Disaster, so what do I do instead? I can give Niles boots, as I have two of them lying around. Is there any way to get another Vanished Disaster after you've used it up?
  5. I'm stuck on Nohr's endgame. I don't know how to avoid getting World's Evils'd without a rescue staff or move forward enough in time to get swamped by all those Faceless. My team is all level 20 except for Selena and Percy. Avatar - Darkblood Benny - General Elise - Strategist Leo - Dark Knight Xander - Paladin Effie - General Ignis - General Camilla - Wyvern Lord (changed her at level 6) Niles - Bow Knight Percy - Wyvern Lord (not level 20, pair up mule) Laslow - Hero Silas - Paladin Forrest - Strategist Flannel - Wolfssenger Velouria - Wolfssenger Selena - Hero (not level 20, pair up mule)
  6. I don't think so; not all supports are translated. Unless that's one of the ones that has been put down as translated by the translation team.
  7. Thanks a bunch for translating the supports, guys. I can't seem to access them from the museum though to read later; is there any reason for that in-game or is it something to do with them not being finished in the patch?
  8. Happy New Years; if you're close it can wait until after you guys party. You've worked hard enough!
  9. Fair point. Obviously they're not going to go the whole nine yards, but I think it's fair to show, in a game where the motif is specifically the East versus the West (or Europe versus the Orient/Japan) they might show some of the inequalities of the time. I mean, they have things like hostages and retainers and allude to a full blown class system, so it's not entirely out of place. Also, some women did fight as I'm sure you know. People like Boudica or Joan of Arc. It was just rarer.
  10. Be that as it may, they obviously intended all of these tropes and all of these plots. If you don't like it, censoring the characters isn't going to change that. Camilla will still be a buxom 'yandere', she'll just be one with covered up tits because Nintendo doesn't trust people to look at a bit of cleavage. If you don't like the characters or the subplots, censoring only cuts content. The characters' personalities remain the same. Also, I really think you're being anachronistic. If the game is supposed to be based off of medieval Europe, the apparently 'anti-Lesbian' stuff wouldn't be out of place. King Garon even says something along the lines of 'my word is law, even above a Queen's'. It's expected for the game to talk about these issues differently.
  11. No censorship is good. If the artists and writers didn't want you to experience the story in that manner, they wouldn't have written it that way.
  12. I'm quite disappointed (but not surprised) that the game is probably being censored. I was going to buy it too, but I don't think I can support this.
  13. Will it be possible, when the dlc gets translated, to build a .3ds with it instead? I'm really not a fan of cias, though I will use them if I have to.
