  1. So you only count the scores you agree with? Well that sounds fair. No wonder none of the ratings make any sense. No one should pay any attention to these results as you are clearly biased therefore they are obviously skewed results. Why even have any pretense of fairness, Why don't you just appoint yourself Supreme Overlord Dictator Despot of the Rating system? And by the time you get Duessel, Franz is already promoted and a heck of a lot better. Duessel's endgame stats are vastly inferior to any non-prepromoted unit. But of course you aren't going to count my vote because you don't agree with it. You can swear at me all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that these results aren't fair.
  2. I don't see why these ratings all clearly favor prepromotes over, you know, actually good units. Especially in fe8 where unlimited leveling is possible (without arena abuse). Anyways, Duessel is a great unit for beginners but is outclassed by Franz and Kyle statwise. He has the Great Knight's curse of being too slow to be a paladin but too weak to be a general. That wouldn't be too bad except for his awful RES which seemed to make him the most vulnerable target on the battlefield during the one playthrough when I actually used him (my first playthrough). He is a cool character and has a pretty awesome title (Obsidian General or something like that), but for me practicality and availability is second to sheer stats. 3.25/10 Because he's not Seth.
  3. I couldn't agree more. I have 7 units (maybe 8) with all maxed stats and all of the creature campaign characters, but I would have consider the game beaten after I beat Lagdou the first time on hard. I can see the reasoning behind requiring someone to get all of the creature campaign characters, but it is absurd to have all characters will maxed stats (without cheating of course).
  4. Ross is clearly a more deserving candidate than colm for the ocean seal. And if I do use it on colm it would be to make him more combat-oriented (assassin). Rennac comes in handy for his ability to pick locks without keys or lockpicks, but that's the extent of his usefulness. Because I hate chest keys and think they are a waste of space, 4/10.
  5. I'm not quite as qualified as some people to talk about this, but there's a good walkthrough on Gamefaqs that explains the details and advantages of RNG wasting (for TSS). As for the DS games, I'm really not sure, but I would assume it is the same as in Shadow Dragon.
  6. I would hope you aren't counting Metal King Slime's vote either, as he didn't provide any justification. As for my vote, Innes is only useful efficiently half of the time (I'm trying not to assume Ephraim's route but take it into consideration at the same time), and he is bow-locked with bad SPD and SKL growth for a bow-user. He has some good supports (Light support with Eirika among others), but his bases don't quite make up for his growths and the fact that he is a bow-user. 2/10 @Railgunz- I would say it does hinder him, and even if you do use your head, he cannot be nearly as effective as other characters (Kyle with a Javelin or Ranger Gerik to name a few) against an average group of enemies. Not being able to counter at least 70% of the enemies in the game has its disadvantages and his stats really aren't special enough to make up for it.
  7. He's one of my favorite characters (to the best of my knowledge he has the only promoted class in the GBA games that can use only lances), I'll give him an 8/10. He'll naturally cap HP, Defense, Strength, and Speed (all of the stats that actually matter), but in a game where there are infinite stat boosters and it is possible to cap all of anyone's stats with a lot of RNG abuse in the ruins, his max stats fall below average. I play primarily to make the strongest team possible by the end of the game (for link arena or whatever). 8/10
  8. Doesn't quite have Moulder's defense, but still a good Bishop overall (especially for Lagdou). 7/10 On the other hand, I don't understand why a good player would use Vulneraries and Elixirs over healing. I've always thought it required more strategy not to use healing items. Granted you'd have to avoid staff abuse, but that doesn't make too much of a difference anyway.
  9. Wow, this is very impressive (both the sprites and the premise for the game). I would be interested in playing either version (yours or Sproles') when it is finished, or at least when a part of the game is playable (not sure exactly how close either of you are to making it playable). When it becomes playable (assuming it isn't already), I would appreciate it if someone could direct me towards the patch. Thanks and keep up the good work.
  10. Yeah, when I posted mine the rules only said "not Seth" instead of "not X". @Pinkie.Pie.Whatever- I did read the rules, BRO, before they were changed, BRO.
  11. 4/10 I've never liked Vanessa, because she isn't Tana or Cormag.
  12. This sounds very interesting. Just out of curiosity, I wonder if the FE hacking community could accomplish this with a hack (even theoretically).
  13. 4/10, overshadowed in terms of endgame stats. Because I don't rate on utility (except for thieves and even then they need to have some potential to dodge). I'm ready to be "tarred and feather'd"
