  1. I never said I wanted him killed. Capital punishment is dumb.
  2. Nice job! I could really hear some of your more theater-esque influences in this version, and it's pretty cool! I don't think I'll get away with singing it like that, but you can and boy it's great! Now if only this stupid cold would clear up so I can get some legit practice in.
  3. I personally liked it, kinda, but am on the fence about it being the best yet. It felt like it took until that airport scene to get truly interesting since I was bored to tears until then, and you pretty much sum up my feelings about the last battle: great, but a little less impactful because of how good the set piece preceding it was. And while I do agree each character had clear motivations, I felt Cap was pushing it a bit. "Oh, I'm gonna be a criminal and protect a fugitive because my girlfriend died and I made a very convenient interpretation of one of her words of wisdom!" Yes, I think even though Bucky was mind wiped that doesn't change the fact he did those things and he should be imprisoned accordingly. I did like the sub cast a lot, because just... Tom Holland people. He alone makes this movie worth dropping a few bucks for. Sir Blah also makes a good point about Black Panther and I liked his character development, small but powerful. The villain has to be one of my favorites too, since he's doing it differently from the riffraff, and I enjoyed seeing the emotions behind him. But the one thing that hold this movie back for me [spoiler=Worst design choice ever]BIG. WHITE. LETTERS. I'm dead serious and never thought I'd actually want to see the crane shots so badly for once. So annoying! Overall, this movie left me satisfied, but not amazed. When it shines it shines bright, but when it's not shining it just throws out fluff that failed to entertain me. Maybe I'm just getting kind of sick of seeing so many action flicks or something and really need a change of pace, but my opinion wasn't made in comparison to any one movie in the series so I hope it doesn't sound too biased.
  4. I vote Erusea. The acrobatic maneuver into Poison Tail seemed like a pretty effective attack, if you consider momentum and stuff. Also I should really check this thread more often in case updates like this happen. I posted in the gameplay thread earlier blissfully unaware of this. :P
  5. My, the fighting in there seems intense. You can hear the rushing waters and deft movements from out here! Perhaps I was missing out on some impressive displays of skill, but I wanted to get back to constructing buildings for all the time I'm sure the others perceived wasted. The yellow clue I found confirmed only one thing: my fellow courier's skin couldn't be dyed like my fur could. It turned out to be a piece of a ribbon, a common accessory used to make our trademark yellow-on-the-left-side. Not much could be guessed from it, except that the ribbon was torn at some point in time. Looking at what buildings were up in town, I figured a store house and an extra spot to sleep would be some good things to start building. I spent the rest of my afternoon marking out where I'd recommend placing them with sticks and stones.
  6. Ugh, are we really going to fight over the leadership role in the most primal way possible? I for one knew I couldn't win. I only have one ability that even does any damage, and some of these Pokemon are fierce. "Do what you will." I said. I retreated to the side of the room, and decided to have a look at what I found while waiting for the rain to go out.
  7. Ugh, it's starting to rain, being a settler is hard. Luckily while I was dragging this log they built a meeting house. Hopefully one it dries out, the wood will make up for all the time it took me to get it back here. Not a huge fan of the Pelipper post, though I get that we need one. I slip into the meeting house and find a Ralts and a Zangoose with the rest of the crew. With how quickly things have grown, you'd think that we were fated to build this outpost. "I suppose I wouldn't mind Phillipe as our leader, but you reeeealy shouldn't nominate yourself." I said casually as I sat down.
  8. I consider Robin (excuse me, the avatar) to be the main character if but I see what you mean. And I do agree we need us more tome/staff protagonists in Fire Emblem and every other game ever. You can do so many things for a character's fighting style in this medium, but no. Swords MUST be the main character's weapon of choice (no, I am not ignorant to the exceptions, I'm just sayin' it's way too common).
  9. After finally extracting the clue, I placed it with the letters I was carrying. I'd examine it at bedtime. For now I knew my role and saw a log ripe for construction. I focused all my psychic energy I had on moving it, but ultimately only got it 5 yards or so. Drat, this is why I always get the desk jobs. I did my best to drag it back to the clearing, even if progress was extremely slow.
  10. "I'm Zephyr. I had only intended to be here for a brief time, but something tells me greater things than one job are in the air. My pleasure to meet you all." I could feel the same potential in the air as I'm sure the others saw in the land too. But argh! All this socializing was getting in may way at present. I should at least collect the clue I left between those great roots, if nothing else. I knew I'd look anti-social after my next move, but there'd be plenty of time to talk, and the Scatterbug might wake up! "Excuse me." I ran to the tree, tuning out of their world back into my own.
  11. My, this turned out quite differently than I expected. Still, I suppose it never hurts to have company out in the wilds. "For as long as you want." I clasp my paw with Pillipe's flipper. Wow that was an awkward way to accept.
  12. "Long story short, I'm here on official business and need to keep searching for another courier. My first and only clue to his whereabouts lie under a tree with a Scatterbug you defeated. I... I'm afraid of what I'll find there after this, but it's my job." A moment of pure worry silences me, but not for long. "If you wish to stay out of this, I won't object."
  13. This is a hard question, but out of scrolls..... PAPER. Literally.
  14. With a sigh of relief, I turn to Phillipe and say, "Well met Prince Phillipe, I am Zephyr, a courier for Daylight Mail." My mind unable to drift off the yellow coming from the Scatterbug, I turned towards the bush I came from. "I wasn't kidding when I said I have important things to do. Please holler if you see a Pokemon with an unusual yellow whatever on their left side. I'll be back in a moment," I remark over my shoulder.
  15. So cool! Keep up your Cute Yarn Things buddy!
  16. The Piplup made a point. I gave him a short nod and unsheathed a claw to Scratch the Scatterbug. "I've got more pressing matters than you. I apologize but I'll make this quick."
  17. A sudden yell causes me to freeze, and look around. I saw a Piplup next to a Scatterbug and figured it came from them. "I was searching for someone when a Scatterbug flew through the air... is there something amiss right now?" I knew since I wasn't sure which one to trust, a passive comment at first would be sage.
  18. I'm thinking about getting this one myself, because since dlc varies wildly in difficulty, it'll be fun to play some maps that you can just jump into without having to worry about grinding a bunch of levels just to enjoy the content I PAID EXTRA MONEY FOR. Btw cute avatar Lynn!
  19. "Scatterbug don't normally fly. What happened to it? Only one way to find out I suppose." After tucking the Scatterbug gently in the tree's shade, I cautiously walked in the direction it flew in from. The yellow could wait, because whatever slung Scatterbug wasn't going to wait for me.
  20. As the plateau came into view, my heart raced. My job was reaching it's climax! Normally I'd be doing some general work at the office, but I finally got another field job. One of our couriers was on his way home for a vacation, and we had received a few letters heading in that direction. All I had to do was get the mail to him at this plateau so he could deliver it for us. I'd never seen him in person, but my coworkers could be easily identified by a yellow mark on their left side, similar to the tuft of fur I dyed yellow. I scaled the cliff and began my search.
  21. Well, there are some states that are better for education than others. Minnesota as a singular state ranks pretty high in education. I'm sure there are also some colleges around the country with strong reputations that attract foreign students. I'm not an expert or anything though, just stating some observations.
  22. Ok! Let's give this a try... (question 4 was a joke bwt :P) Name: Zephyr Species: Espurr (male) Moves: Scratch, Leer, *Barrier Personality: An introvert who tends to get lost in thought, mild and polite in social situations, and selfless in battle. Backstory: As the world grew less and less safe, Zephyr abandoned his dream of becoming an entertainer and joined a small courier business. Through the travels he embarked on, Zephyr hoped to keep the pokemon of the world connected to each other, despite being socially inept himself. *Barrier is obtained through breeding with a Glaceon, so just assume my character's mom was one. If you don't prefer breeding moves though, I'll edit it out.
  23. I've never played in a forum roleplay, but it looks interesting and this one's mechanics look more welcoming than the other rp's here so I'd like to join, but just a few questions before I consider jumping in. 1. Where can I find the move list that contains the legal starter moves? 2. How much time am I expected to invest? 3. Will the other players murder me? 4. Do I get shunned for choosing to play as a popular pokemon? 5. How much background on PMD do I need? I've only played Explorers of Sky (full way through) I don't even own it anymore (to my dismay).
  24. Meh, you can sell a Mario game with dated graphics by brand name alone. Why bother remastering them when throwing the vanilla version on the eshop is MUCH quicker and less expensive to do. But that's just from a business perspective I guess. A remake of an old Mario game with Nintendo's gorgeous music (aka someone at nintendo got reeeealy obsessed with jazz recently) and everything would be cool. It probably wouldn't even have to be a $60 release.
  25. Cipher might be interesting, but I'd like to see them do something purely original. And I'm actually ok with mirco-transactions, as long as the game itself is free. I'm gonna pay up front, or not at all.
