  1. I said micaiah, because: A) Her attire is gorgeous B) I actually like micaiah as a character (Fite meh) C) Based Levin/Lewyn isn't here
  2. I'd personally like the Bow knights/Nomads to make a return. I personally think that FE has enough class variety already that it needs no new classes for a long time. If you want interesting class variety, bring back classes from FE's 4, 5, and 2. Hell, SOV is the first time we're seeing Barons since FE 4 (Maybe 5, Haven't finished it yet). All I care about is Light magic returning. Really. I want to have a full magical trinity like RD or like the GBA games did. Give us dark and light so we have contrast. The world needs balance, and if RD didn't teach us that, class representation most certainly will. Maybe we'll get some Mageknights or Valkyries who wield light magic. Bring back carona skill
  3. While I like Rabbid's content, (In fact I'm subbed to him, so kill me if you wish) I don't think this video needed to be made. ZerkmonsterHunter4 made a much better video addressing the problem and trying to bring discussion to how the FE fanbase needs to change or how certain issues could be resolved. I even made my own video on the subject, but it is probably the 2nd worst thing I ever created (don't watch it). There are more productive ways to try and improve or to try to lighten the reception of a fanbase than just putting a countdown/top 5 list of the objectively worst ones. And really, people actually want him to do certain videos. If enough people vote for certain topics that are interesting or desired enough, he'll do them.
  4. When Aku said he destroyed the time portals, did he destroy that one that jack didn't get out of sheer skill? I always forget what episode it is, but it's the one where Jack fights against that one gardian who says, "Only one man can defeat me. You ain't that man!" And at the end of the episode, jack loses, but the crystal (time portal) shows a future jack, in roman-style armor and a beard with long hair. I'm wondering if Aku got that specific one too. Because the depiction of jack back in that episode is identical to the Jack we have here. I wonder how jack will get back his sword, if he ever does. Probably with tons of help. Loving the new episodes, but I feel they are using a little too many flashbacks to show character development.
  5. This seems fun, but I'm going to stick with just Random characters. I already have a method of how I can randomly choose a team. I use this site, and load it up with the names of every unit in the game. http://andrew.hedges.name/experiments/random/pickone.html I have it set to not have marth or Julian, because Marth is a must, and Julian will always be my unit of choice. However, if Ricard is chosen, he replaces Julian. Same with Gotoh or nagi. If neither gotoh or nagi are chosen, I just ignore Gotoh and give his sh*t to the convoy. I also have "Generic" in there, making it so I have to train a generic unit of my choice. I find that armor knights and archers are the best Generics. (These classes have the best promotion gains, so...) As for reclassing, I just do whatever seems new and interesting. I've not done all the combinations of every unit and every class combination, but I've played through SD enough times to not be afraid of making Athena a mage or Arran a sniper or Making Macellan an Armor knight. (Although that last one is just terrible) I'll definately need to try your method some day. Could be fun.
  6. It sounds like it has potential, but it would need to be nerfed. Would the flanking stack? or would the flanking penalties (on victim) be one-time? Would they recover per turn, or act as a status? How could this open new possibilities to challenging map design? How would this create abuse or flaws in map design? I would rather mechanics be balanced and simple, rather than something so complex that it makes the game alienating. If the games want to show off realism with war, then doing so with map design, and enemy placement/reinforcements should be the way to go. Thracia did it well in many areas. (Chapter 11) I'm yet to find a map that does Gurrilla tactics for the player (the player is the one with the home advantage, trying to ambush the enemy) correctly. For the enemy.... FE 6 is one big Gorilla tactics FE. Bulgar...
  7. So.... what about the other past apostles? And uh, about branded inheritance, I think it works like this: Laguz + Beorc = Branded. Beorc + Branded = 50% of being branded. We code certain Alleles, as dominant, and the Branded trait seems to be Homozygous dominant. It always happens when a laguz and beorc mate. Here's a few punnet squares of my prediction of how this works: Branded Genetics.pdf So, the chances of The eldest being a branded (if it is Heterozygous) are 50/50.
  8. Ok, I get ya. I don't really like abusing Warp unless the game forces me to. But I understand. I don't even know how much a full warp sells for. Snipers are cool though. And with a forged longbow, you can do chip damage om Medius without retaliation. Not that it's needed, I know. But I just like it.
  9. Ok, cool. I never liked Warpskipping either. But I felt like I HAD to do it in HM 5. I kept restarting because the enemies had BS weapons and were quite messy... Nothing a Max Stats Catria couldn't handle. Yes, I maxed her stats. Well, everything except Res and HP I also reclassed Horace to Hero instead of Horseman. I feel that he gets the short end of the stick with Horseman. Plus Castor filled that role for me. Well, until I made him a general.
  10. Sure, no problem. It'll turn out better than a certain video
  11. Two questions: 1 - Why is warp banned in drafts? Even warping people like 5 tiles away for exp? Honestly, I can do SD without warp, but even I'll admit I'm not good enough to beat Merciless mode (H5) without warp. Spoilers: I've only Beaten HM 5 once. 2 - Are you making Midia or some other unit a sniper for Longbow use? I made Sheeda a Mage, and while she was crap at dealing magic damage early on, she capped speed. Fast. I imagine she'll do well as a sniper.
  12. I just did a run like this. I saw her hair as indigo, and didn't recruit her. I had a full enough roster from the other characters. (Just barely.) And I never go by Official art, because Gaiden and Ymir were things.... So I went by in game portraits and sprites. Although, the Run I titled it was, "Milord's Hair is Your Hair." Where, you can only use units with the same hair color as the Main Lord. Shadow Dragon is a very simple, yet diverse Fire Emblem game in terms of replayability, so I find it to be the perfect FE game to test Unique playthroughs or challenge runs like this. As for the difficulty, go for Hard mode 1 or 2.. (Go 2) Because Some units like Ricard require intense baybying to become up to par with other units. Midia and Horace were Barely serviceable in my run aside from bases and stat boosters. I wonder how you can do a run like this in Radiant Dawn? Do we count Elincia as a lord?
  13. "One continuous timeline" I say yes to that, when talking about Archanea/Valencia. But Fates, Magvel, Elibe, and Telius are not confirmed to be in the same timeline. If anything, they are just different worlds with their own stories in separate universes, and I prefer to keep it that way. I don't like it when a series tries to find random bullshit excuses to put everything together in one "Timeline" when there are different stories that take place in different universes and have their own laws, characters, themes, and lore. The outrealms make me angry because they exist solely for the purpose of tying other FE worlds together (and DLC) when there should be no connection. If Tellius is connected by time to Archanea, where is the chronological proof, aside from Outrealm shenanigans? The Dragon's Gate in Elibe's FE 7 worked because it was an integral part of the plot. It is the only thing that we have real proof of an alternate universe intertwined with another: Possibly Archanea (not specified or confirmed) and Elibe, where Ninian and Nils ended up. But there are no indications of such happenings in Places like Tellius or Magvel. Want to know why I hate Piram? Because he was created for simply fan service. There is no concrete or believable motives of reason for him being in archanea. I can say that he's mist and boyd's decendant, because that's believable. Ike never settled down with anyone except soren. Other theories, or rather, Hypotheses, are just made up by fans and made to quell the urge for completion. Tellius and Magvel should remain in their own worlds outside of fanservice because unless there is real reason to connect them to other series universes, it makes the lore less intriguing because connecting things that were never meant to be connected in the first place, is pure bullshit. it ruins lore, and makes it a far less believable and interesting world. It's what kind of happened to Zelda.
  14. Well, Like I said, if this were general FE, I'd give my biggest supporting points to this theory, of how anna is the Author of a series of historical fiction novels that are Fire Emblem. I don't see anankos as a good villian or Anna knowing dragons as a solid point. The first dragons were Narga, Loptr, and 11 others that were of the miracle of Darna in FE 4. Anna is in that game too, but as a cameo. In most Games she's a cameo, but I still hold out my theory of anna being an author. FE 3 and FE 12 are amazing back up for it, but that's for another day.
  15. Awakening is a Fantasy-Fiction/Historical Fantasy Novel Written By Anna and Produced By Jake. Why Else would she have a bajillion sisters with the same name, hair, appearance, stats, worth, etc.? (She puts her self in for kicks) There's also the fact that Shipping is real. People don't marry that fast! Plus, Anna is the low-key RNG Goddess, so it only makes sense that she has people live and die by her hand because she writes it that way. Any reset is just a scraped point in the book that she didn't like. (She's evil this way) And the DLC? Fan-fics written by teenagers on fanfic.net. I have an altered version of this theory concerning the other games in the series, where I have much more to back it up, but... This thread isn't General FE.
  16. 2 questions: Are we going off of characters that we personally don't use that much, but are better, or characters that are generally passed up for better units? And do we need to list those specific games that you mentioned, or any games what we played? FE 7: Pretty much the only character that I use that not many people use is Bartre, and not just to Get Karla. I genuenly like his character, and I think he has a spot in my army for 2 reasons: Axe utility, Bow utility when I don't want to bother with Rebecca. (I personally dislike Wil, but that's ok if others like him) FE 8: Marisa, Moulder, and Syrene. Those three are considered not very good units, but I love them to prices anyway. Moulder is A literal walking mentor, able to push mountains and shatter low-res enemies. Saleh and Lute are better, but I use them too. Marisa. She's hot, her backstory and personality are there, despite what every other person says. She kicks ass. Joshua is better, but for some reason.... I can't use him. syrene.... She's great utility, has a fantastic support with Gilliam, and she can hold her own as a replacement unit. Tana's better. Awakening: Haven't played this one in a while, but I'd say that people usually pass up Say'ri. She has good bases, growths, and she makes a great support with Robin as a general or Axe user. What? Never Reclassed Robin before? Fates: Beat it once, but I like using Felicia (not that underused), and benny, in conquest. They are passed up for Jacob, Kaze, and any other shuriken user, and Benny is passed up for Effie. As for Birthrout, Shura (I use him always) and Azama. Azama is freaking amazing, and a total prick. Reminds me of our lord and savior Shinon.
  17. I would remember why glasses aren't my thing. I have nothing wrong with those who wear glasses, but I'm not someone who fawns over the idea of my ideal partner with glasses.
  18. Thanks for following me.

  19. Saber? Luka? Force? Cliff? Any Vilager as a knight/Barron can be high with def too. Mycen? Catria, Est, and even Boey (If trained) Have pretty good defense, especially when you have shields to help you out. Speed and dodging is great and all, but you generally have enough speed to make it through the harder maps, assuming you promote your units every now and then.
  20. Even if you can dodge more, the chances of being hit are still higher with 1 rng. Plus, I've never found relying on Dodging to be very helpful unless it's less than 20%. As for Valbo handeling Geese, he can do it no problem if he has either a Lether shield or becomes a barron. Geyse has a ton of speed and strength, but is the average for dread fighters, Valbo may not be able to handle geyse completely on his own, but it's more reliable to put Valbo out there to attack him more than someone like Celica or May. I'm not saying that speed is non-existant in Gaiden, it's pretty darn important. But Defense has so much more going for it in gaiden than most other FE games.
  21. Which is a more important stat in Fire Emblem Gaiden Specifically? We all know that speed is universally the best stat in every FE game. But is it more or less important than defense in Gaiden? Personally, I'd say that defense is more important. In Gaiden, the amount of enemies you face at the middle and end of the game are quite strong, and many enemy units can attack almost anyone from multiple angles (Knights, Snipers, wizards, paladins etc can all gang up on you). Since the minimum damage dealt in gaiden is 1 instead of 0, you would think that defense doesn't matter much. But consider this: Would you rather take 2 points of damage from being doubled on enemy phase, or 6 damage from one attack? While getting doubled is never fun to look at, it's never really an issue in gaiden, assuming you promote and utilize your items. A majority of your units will have enough speed to double or not get doubled by generic Snipers, Knights, and even the Final Boss! As for being doubled by magic enemies that swarm you, there are few instances in Gaiden where Magic is an issue. You have the angel ring, dread fighters, the magic shield, and even the Dragon shield that all make proper defenses against magic that you can give to your knights and low res units. Of course, high defense and Speed is fantastic, but few units have that advantage. Celica can be fast, but Valbar takes all the abuse. And last I checked, an average Celica can't handle Geyse 1v1. What do you guys think?
