  1. OH BOY TIME TO UPDATE A DRAFT The prologue was uneventful. Got Athena almost 3 levels and named MU Ronan. He's pretty mediocre. CHAPTER 1 5/5 TURNS Marth killed Lorenz. Got the BIG MONEY. Doga healed Marth. Arran went shopping before catching up with Marth. CHAPTER 2 - 6/11 TURNS Remarkably, Cord doesn't cost turns. Arran went and got the Lady Sword, and everyone else went up the right side. Doga is somehow 3HKO'd by soldiers. CHAPTER 3 - 6/17 TURNS Palla got the stuff from the dracos on the mountain then suicided on the boss so Arran could finish him off on turn 6, allowing Marth to seize. Ronan baited the dracos down south so Cord could kill them. Doga healed Ronan after he tanked the dracos. It was amazing. The almighty SORCEROR SIRIUS helped clear the way to the boss with a dank fire forge. Cord helped Sirius and Marth get to the throne. CHAPTER 6 - 6/37 TURNS SORCEROR SIRIUS IS TOP TIER Everyone but PureWater!Marth went left, Sirius ORKO'd three knights on turn 1 and lived with 1hp and got healed up by vulneraries and Doga. Arran got the door key on turn 2 EP and opened Samto's door on turn 3, allowing Caeda to recruit Samto, and Sirius to resuce Marth way ahead. Marth armorslayer'd some thwomps, then when Arran and Sirius caught up, they tag teamed Lang allowing Marth to seize on turn 6. CHAPTER 6X - 2/39 TURNS Like half of my army lived with 2HP on turn 1. 2. Berserker Frost MU is an archer Merchant's Child, Kind, Truth seeker
  3. IN ive wanted a draft for a while and soyo is the only way ill play fe12
  4. Feena. I'll be disappointed if you don't use her as a combat unit
  5. Lyn is good at killing things in a vacuum. Lyn has a very bad enemy phase in a game where having a powerful enemy phase is a big deal. She can't kill enemies if she dies on the enemy phase. She also can't kill enemies if she can't counter them, having no 1-2 range is a big deal. Late promotion hurts her a lot too. Her promotion helps a little bit since she doesn't have to eat a potential counter, but she kinda needs killer bows to actually kill anything with them other than wyverns. She's basically Guy that promotes ~5 maps later with worse stats. The only real advantage she has on him is the Mani Katti, and Guy isn't too great in his own right.
  6. I'd play provided there are (reasonable) deadlines and stuff for games.
  7. Saleh can't really fight the demon king unless it's the last hit, he gets oneshotted. He can help with staffing though. You can still get purge on Ephraim route though, and he has the rank for it at base.
  8. Natasha imo could be as low as D tier. She struggles to even promote before the game is over thanks to healer exp and she starts at level 1.
  9. I've been playing through again to test some stuff out, and I'm just compare 4 units (three of which are in C tier) to Duessel. I'm currently at the start of Chapter 12, essentially a map after Duessel joins (since he doesn't do anything in Chapter 10). UNIT HP ST SK SP LC DF RS 10/5 GILLIAM 37 16 11 08 06 17 07 15/1 HERO!GARCIA 41 16 13 11 07 10 04 15/1 PALADIN!KYLE 36 15 11 12 08 14 05 DOZLA 43 16 11 09 04 11 06 DUESSEL 41 17 12 12 08 17 09 Gilliam VS Duessel Gilliam is essentially Duessel lite, however he has the additional perk of having an additional ten chapters of availability on Duessel. For reference, there are 23 chapters in the game, Gilliam has almost half the game of availability on Duessel. Using the first knight's crest is obviously a big opportunity cost, but if Franz isn't in play Gilliam is undoubtably the best candidate (on Ephraim route anyway) since Forde/Kyle won't be level 10 before chapter 9 anyway and you get your second crest after chapter 10. Promoted Gilliam in chapter 8 is excellent, being able to ORKO the knights in the first treasure room with a Steel Axe along with being able to oneshot mages with the Silver Lance, all while being immortal for that point of the game. He also shines in Fort Rigwald, as he can be a mounted Halberd to kill the droves of cavaliers, and is able to kill the knights and soliders as well without too much effort, and even doubles the weighed down steel bow archers from over the wall with the hand axe or javelin for the kill, and your teams offence during Fort Rigwald is pretty low, the cavaliers are generally too tanky for most of your team to handle in a single round of combat. Beyond that, he's generally worse than Duessel, but not by much. Both fail to double the gargoyles on the Phantom ship, but all the other monsters are slow enough for Gilliam to double, and they have similar Strength, defence and weapon ranks, (Gilliam has E swords, but he'll undoubtably have A (or even S) lances and at least B Axes by this point. Further into the game, Gilliam misses doubles on stuff like enemy Archers, Fighters and Cavaliers (Duessel only misses some cavaliers). Durability wise Gilliam stays on par with Duessel for their entire existence pretty much, only losing out slightly against magic enemies. One more point in Gilliam's favour is he has 1 less point of CON. No promoted flier can rescue Duessel, while Cormag can rescue Gilliam, and with 6 movement, being rescued occasionally is nice. Gilliam is currently 16 spots behind Gilliam, Duessel's only advantage on Gilliam is better combat vs some enemy types midgame and earlier Garm usage (by maybe 1-2 maps). Garcia VS Duessel Garcia is a monster earlygame, unlike Gilliam who's merely average, so this comparison hurts Duessel even more. Garcia has little to no competition for the first hero crest on Ephraim's route (he's easily better than Joshua promoted). They're both in a similar speed tier, Garcia will likely keep pace since he gains roughly double the exp that Duessel does for a while thanks to Duessel's high base level, while surpassing him in raw damage output lategame by a pretty significant margain if both units are doubling. Garcia also hits Garm around the same time as Duessel. Their midgame combat is virtually idential, with Duessel's advantages being having Canto (not as huge as you'd think on a 6 move unit) and better concrete durability, but Garcia's is by no means bad, usually being 6/7HKO'd. He also misses out on lances which is probably the biggest advantage Duessel has with stuff like the Dragonspear and Horseslayer, and a better way to fight sword wielding enemies (Garcia's swords aren't bad but definately a tier down). Garcia also has 1 point less of Con than Duessel, so he can be rescued by promoted fliers while Duessel cannot. Duessel is currently 10 spots up on Garcia. Unlike with Gilliam, Garcia has equal midgame combat, an excepctional earlygame contributions, and is a stronger combat unit lategame, trading that for lance useage, and less, but still decent durability. I think Garcia is undoubtably better than Duessel personally. Dozla VS Duessel I mostly had this here just to compare their base stats. Offensively Dozla is similar to GK!Gilliam, with the durability of Garcia, so he's a little worse off. Dozla however has the advantage of waterwalk in chapter 13, and a 15% crit boost. Dozla will likely catch up to Duessel's speed come later in the game since he gains more experience since he's a much lower level, and surpass him in combat (marginally) thanks to his crit boost. Dozla's undoubtably worse than Duessel, yet he's higher than Gilliam, who's very comparable. Kyle VS Duessel Kyle is just flat out better than Duessel. Their physical durability is very very similar (in the not dying territory), Kyle's speed is good enough to be tied with Duessel, and he has +2 movement and much less con (he's able to be rescued by any promoted Flier or Paladin). Kyle's offence is likely to be similar to Duessel's for most of the game, Duessel likely has the slight edge thanks to Garm use and axes in general, but Kyle's mobility is a far better boon in several scenerios. Kyle is close to Duessel being just below him, but his abililty to ferry people, have more mobility all while maintaining a similar level of combat just makes him a flat out better unit, even ignoring durability. If 15/1 Kyle showed up in Duessel's chapter and the player had a choice between the two, Kyle would probably be picked every time. This just means one of a few things: Duessel is far to high, or Gilliam/Garcia are far too low. I think it's a bit of both. I personally think Gilliam and Duessel should be together at the bottom of B Tier, with Garcia higher up in B tier. Other dudes that would be above them like Ephraim!Saleh and Innes both should drop too, as Duessel is definately better than the both of them, but I just can't buy him being an A tier unit, or even one in high B. 6 movement thats essentially unrescuable isn't a great place to be, especially on a unit with middling combat like Duessel.
  10. I have 14 Eliwoods. His eyes stare into my soul every time I pull him.
  11. Seconding seperating Ephraim!Cormag and Eirika!Cormag, he joins much earlier on Ephraim's route and they're much more flier friendly (cormag misses the good flier maps like chapter 9/12 on Eirika route). Even if you wait around for him, he'll probably be comparable to Tana offensively by the time he joins anyway. I think on Eirika route he could stand to drop down to the top of C tier or something. Duessel is still far to high imo. He's seriously one of the worst units in the game on Eirika route, and remarkably average on Ephraim's route (although he requires 0 investment, which is nice.)
  12. Roundhouse (silver sword skill) is a much better proc for killing Jedah (and Rudolf) than Tigerstance. It's easier to get (and easier to rig), but the silver sword is a slightly worse weapon overall than the Zwei is.
  13. My thoughts... Vanessa is probably better than Franz, she's your only flier for a long time, and while Franz is very very good, Seth's existance definately makes him a little less valuable. For people wondering about Saleh, his staff rank isn't his main draw imo, it's his incredible combat. His 1-2 range combat is unrivaled, is fantastic in the desert map, and then his lategame warping (mainly chapter 20 and endgame) is something that Artur can't replicate as a Bishop. I've never been impressed by Duessel as a unit, he's very good in Phantom Ship, but outside of that, he's a 6 move unit with iffy combat and great weapon ranks and durability, his speed isn't good enough and other units make better use of speedwings, I firmly believe he isn't even an A tier unit. Kyle is probably a little better than Forde, when he doubles he's able to kill things, and Forde doesnt even double much more than Kyle in the first place, the only advantage Forde really has is he's a level closer to promotion. I think Gerik is probably better than the both of them on Eirika Route, his offence is too good to pass up and you really sorely need it in FE8. Saleh isn't a good unit on Ephraim Route. He can still kill things, but he misses a bunch of maps and there are only a few more maps that aren't warpskips after he joins, and he can't warp or rescue since he doesn't have enough time to build staff rank. Moulder could probably drop down a tier as well. Tana and Eph!Cormag definately belong here in this tier imo. Duessel isn't a good unit on Eirika's route. He helps a bit in the desert and honestly might not be valuable enough to be deployed beyond then. Ephraim crushes him in every stat but defence (he wins strength because of Siegmund's ridiculous power) and even has an extra point of movement. Innes is useful as a combat unit but might belong lower in the tier, maybe just below Ephraim Route Duessel. Garcia deserves to be in this tier somewhere, Natasha and Syrene have no buisness being here, Natasha has a hard time getting to promotion since the game is so short and Syrene literally only kills Gorgon eggs. The rest of this looks okay (other than Garcia and mayyyybe Joshua moving up a tier), Eirika (Eph) could probably move up to B tier since she has a unique contributions lategame with her weapon and still is around for the first 8 maps. Myrrh probably should be around where Ewan is, she's fine filler in the last few maps that can help with the final boss and Lyon, and Ewan is definately E tier.
  14. MU is +HP/-luck DRAGON Prologue - 2/2 turns we did it boys Chapter 1 - 4/6 turns thanks xander Chapter 2 - 3/9 turns Gunter killed Kaze on turn 2 and then Corrin got Rinkah on turn 3. Jakob and Corrin combined for kills with dual strikes. Chapter 3 - 5/14 turns Jakob got another great level here. Corrin hasn't got defence yet, hopefully it doesn't hurt too much. Chapter 4 - 6/20 turns Did the Rinkah bosspull trick. Chapter 5 - 4/24 turns Got lucky my first try and Ryoma survived so he could kill the last mage spawning from the left after Corrin killed the boss. Glad I don't have Kaze, his levelups sucked. Chapter 6 - 2/26 turns Leo baited Takumi, Jakob baited Yukimura, Xander killed Ryoam with Freeze's help. Chapter 7 - 9/35 turns Silas didn't help a whole lot, and got a skill only level. Corrin basically solo'd the map with Jakob pairup and some tonics. I'll post stats after Mozu's and Chapter 8.
  15. GEN TWO CHAPTER 6 - 16/16 TURNS Celice stomped. He healed with the earth sword. Killed the handaxes with light sword. Delmud defended home castle and killed Johalva's squad. CHAPTER 7 - 26/42 TURNS TO BALMUNG Celice dismounted across the desert, Nanna got a couple of villages and returned home. Delmud bought the elite ring thanks to the bargain ring and got swarmed by mages, but he prevailed with the help of Mana and Julia. TO BROCK Celice ran south again. Delmud couldn't get close enough to clear a path since the dark mages held him up so much. TO LAYLEA Just ran north and got her really. Aless and Delmud cleared a path. TO BLUME This was kinda a clusterfuck because all the mages and thwomps were trying to run through the chokepoint. Baited two out with Amid (he lived on 1hp somehow) so that helped a lot, then Celice cleared a few out, and then Daisy(!!!!!) Nanna and Delmud cleared Celice's path, and allowed me to recruit Linda. Delmud killed a general in front of Blume so that he could run through to Blume and seize. Delmud is ready to promote! CHAPTER 8 - 12/54 TURNS Nanna bought pursuit/magic/light rings and solo'd the mage knight squad and was able to reach Blume around the same time as Celice to kill the thwomp in his way again. Then Celice just ran south and ignored Hawk, to seize. CHAPTER 9 - 11/65 TURNS Used Return on Laylea after she danced Celice once every castle, then had Mana warp Laylea ahead to the next castle to dance celice every time. Got the Julia conversation for Celice's res, I don't think it costed a turn, but mine only had 9 and couldn't avoid sleep staves. Ignored Arion and just seized Thracia castle. Got Julia to promotion for +1 movement!!! Daisy got one village and will hopefully have enough to fund my rescuer, Mana :weary: CHAPTER 10 - 12/77 TURNS This chapter is THE BEST TO HILDA Mana bought the bargain ring, and then got funded for the leg ring/rescue/reserve staves by Daisy. Mana and some other chumps were danced forward, and Laylea was rescued ahead, she survived Fenrir with 1HP, which was pretty clutch. On turn 2, Laylea got rescued ahead by Mana and she rescued Celice in range to seize, Nanna returned Laylea home, so Linda could warp Laylea to hilda's castle the next turn. Oh yeah, Linda silenced a sleep staff guy so he wouldn't do anything bad. TO THE CORNER Celice took out Hero Sword Harold's squad with the light sword (it has 100 kills), and Mana eventually rescued Delmud far enough ahead to kill the dank mage blocking the path to seize on turn 5. Mana rescued Celice back towards Laylea. Aless preempitively went north. Nanna had previously returned herself since she fell behind, but had caught up thanks to Linda again. Delmud got the magic ring villaged and returned himself home with the other return ring a few turns later. TO MILETOS Laylea danced Mana and Celice upwards, with Aless taking out sleep staff guys with Nanna's help. On the turn of seizing, Nanna returned Mana after she rescued Laylea ahead and broke the staff, Aless killed Ishtar, and the both of them got danced, so Aless could kill the dude in Celice's way to seize and Nanna could return Laylea home. TO ALVIS warped Mana up to Miletos and rescued Aless ahead after Celice moved, and he took out most of the enemies up north with the Light Sword and magic ring. Laylea danced Linda inside the castle and was warped up herself. Nanna healed up Aless who continued north on turn 11, the sleep staff guy was preeocupied with spamming reserve so he couldn't do sleep things to any of my dudes. Delmud was warped up and rescued ahead by Mana, and eventually killed a dude blocking Aless's and Celice's way to Alvis, and Aless brough Alvis to 4HP which allowed Celice to finish with the hero sword, hitrates were decent since Laylea and Delmud provided Charisma support. https://gyazo.com/9db8448d1a1e1a12fd24994fbbf0b1c5 FINALE - 17/94 TURNS Mana is a lame rescue bot, but she did good enough I guess. Too lazy to do a detailed summery. Mana rescued people, Nanna returned people home to repair staves/get warped by Linda, Delmud got put to sleep and Aless basically solo'd the chapter. Got Julia, and with a magic ring she orko'd Julius pretty easily. Nice Speed bro. Still Celice though. Was strong early, and basically invaluable in chapter 7 because nobody else could kill the dank mages. Eventually his shitty speed and lack of pursuit caught up to him when he didn't have the pursuit ring. At worst, a charisma bot and a mount that could keep up with Celice. Absolute monster. Destroyed Alvis and had generally amazing combat, and made up for the lack of Tyrfing with his own Holy weapon, which was essentially the only way I could even kill the Pegasus Trio. Recruited Linda. Burned some RN's. Didn't quite promote because I was lazy, but he wouldn't have done anything anyway, pursuit ring was too valuable on other units. Low key mvp of gen 2, since Laylea and Mana both needed a lot of money, especially Mana to promote in time for chapter 10. Somehow promoted. Rescuebot/10. Did some other warping too. Far worse than Lana. Killed Julius and gave Celice extra res. Warped people that Nanna sent home. Kinda magic screwed I think. I'm not sure if she was outside the home castle for more than 5 turns all game, but was really valuable. best dancer/10 Mounted Return staff is really useful from chapter 8 onwards in gen 2, and she did her job well. Nanna's the best. and last but not least.... undrafted Shanan, for being such a good castle guard the enemies won't even attack him. Gen 1 105 + Gen 2 94 = 199 turn clear UNDER 200 BOYS
