  1. You mean like Vaida? (That's always been a fancasting of mine admittedly, haha)
  2. That's a pretty big exaggeration there, not gonna lie. You do know how long she's been in the business, and how much range she has right? A few bad lines in a game that didn't exactly have stellar ADR direction to begin with HARDLY invalidates her entire career. (Apologies for this reply, yeah. Wasn't too great I'll admit.)
  3. I have mixed feelings about that game's artwork to be honest. Some characters like Camus, Michalis, and Minerva look AWESOME in their portraits IMO. Then you have examples of like Draug and Marth who really... don't look great IMO (At least Marth looked kinda better in New Mystery)
  4. I do still think Takumi was being a bit of twat regardless, including unnecessarily being a jerk to Azura who HAD been there for a while (which he himself acknowledges later on) but I do understand your perspective as well. Even if I don't entirely agree with it. On a side note, I've seen the whole "the Story and Support versions are totally different characters!" opinion for Xander once or twice before. But never with Corrin until now, haha.
  5. I meant more the Valla royal bloodline was close to "you know who" Anyway... I'll respect your opinion but honestly I just don't think the "worship" is as big a thing as some people actually make it out to be, that's all. The only two characters I can honestly think of who do sorta act that are Kana and Rhajat (You could "maybe" argue Caeldori too, but that was due to Subaki himself overhyping Corrin because he was too nervous about teaching her himself) and even then it makes sense considering their reasons. Aside from them the rest of the Fates second gen (who IMO, Corrin has better supports with compared to the first gen overall) just treat him/her like any other friend in most cases. And Hell, Shiro even challenged M!Corrin's ideals in their supports IIRC. Hopefully you get where I'm coming from here!
  6. It's probably just dialogue to hint at the similar background they both share, it's hardly "worship" and I think that particular complaint is a bit of an exaggeration in general. Also, Azura having a Dragonstone makes sense when you consider who her father was (King of Valla after all)
  7. To be honest, I've seen people whose favourite Lords are both Micaiah AND Corrin for the same/similar reasons (Having to do bad things against their will, "they're more human/relateable than the other FE Lords" sentiment, etc.) and IDK. It's just kinda amusing to me when you get fan overlap for certain characters like that, haha.
  8. Or you know... Perhaps some people genuinely find Cindy Robinson's Amy Rose voice to be an even bigger mismatch than her EG Daily imitation?
  9. Yep. I recall Leo mentioning something like that in his conversation with Corrin in CQ chapter 14.
  10. The thing is, they DID know he wasn't exactly the nicest guy in the world. They didn't know he was an ACTUAL monster being manipulated by an evil God, however.
  11. Gray - I like him. He's not one of my favourite characters in the game overall, but he has some fun interactions with Tobin however. Sonya - Didn't recruit her on my playthrough, but she's alright as well really. Though if I'm being honest the best thing about her is Tara Jayne's voice. I just absolutely love listening to the Tharja/Camilla/Sonya type of voice in general honestly, haha. Duma - I like his memory prism, and his voice for his human form is good too... But aside from that however, I feel Anankos was a better and more sympathetic take on the whole "Dragon Degeneration" thing personally. I actually liked him a bit more in the original Gaiden though. Because he didn't come off as "dumb crazed monstrosity" during the final map if that makes sense? (Though to be honest, I liked Act 5 in the original Gaiden more in general ?) But yeah, overall I think SOV is a good-enough game. It's honestly not one that I really want to play ALL the time like say, Sacred Stones or Fates. But it was still a fun remake with a nice cast overall... despite the map-design, haha. And on a side note: Alm's character in this game actually made me appreciate Ephraim more. Anyway! God Bless.
  12. So freaking torn between CYL Lyn and Lucina here... They both look so great! Also, this next Gauntlet is going to cause so much freaking salt. I can already see it all now XD
  13. Okay FE Fan, you can calm down now ? But yes, other characters! Silque: She looks beautiful, sounds beautiful, and has some interesting base conversations as well IMO. I just wish she could support with Tatiana as well tbh. Deen: He's awesome! He looks like a badass thug, has a very hot voice. And I rather like his base conversations too. I do wish his supports with Jesse went further than they did though. Their A support honestly feels more like a B support to me. But at the end of the day he's the Critical King with his Brave Sword, so I'll always love him as a unit for that. Mila: I don't agree with the game's sentiment that she's "just as bad as Duma" because she really isn't??? That aside, she's okay and I felt bad for her towards the end because of everything. But eh, I still liked Naga as a character more personally ?
  14. That's wonderful! Why waste your time replying to me then, when you could be putting your quick mind to better use? Like say, perhaps realising in another three seconds that two other unoriginal goofballs already used the same sort of anti-Fates villains diss?
  15. I can hear Lauren Landa as Yuzu underneath her accent. And I think Emma is Cherami Leigh as well. Not sure about Shade but I'm fairly certain that Randal is Deen's VA.
  16. Wonder how long it took you to come up with this one? Anyway... opinions on the other characters! Lukas: He's one of my favourite characters in the game personally. He's very likable, has a great backstory. And he's easily my favourite Greg Chun role in Fire Emblem. And he's rather attractive to boot! Haha. Catria: My second favourite Whitewing really. I think she's a great example of a "stoic" character done well in Fire Emblem honestly, and I LOVE Julianne Alexander's voice for her too! Very different from her more timid and nervous-sounding Felicia I'd say. On a side note: her supports with Est are freaking hilarious XD Jedah: I'm going to be honest, despite acknowledging the fact that he could've put in more of an effort to come off as less evil. I still rather like him as a villain regardless. (in fact, he's my favourite one in the game) You can tell he's genuinely concerned for Duma's well-being. Which is more than you can say for Gharnef, and I love how he insults Berkut right to his face and gets away with it too! Always entertaining to see when other villains rather dislike each other IMO. And IDK what it is about them, but I just love the "manipulative wizard" characters in FE a lot in general. Always have really, haha. Also I think it's absolutely amazing that Richard Epcar voices him and Walhart of all people. Jedah's the kind of guy that Walhart would want to kill on sight XD
  17. Thane's quote is more of a "personal" thing than an actual, objective fact through...
  18. I suppose you could say that him being incompetent "was all written!" huh?
  19. Good for you MeddlingMage! I actually had M!Corrin marry Nina in my Lunatic Revelations playthrough for the first time myself. It's a surprisingly cute pairing IMO. Also it lets you get every playable character like GreenDragon17 said so that's a plus really.
  20. Clive - Not a great unit, but he's likable enough as a character IMO. I like his supports with Lukas myself. Jesse - I don't find him quite as charming as Sain or Laslow, but he's still pretty enjoyable as a character IMO. He does good work with that Brave Sword really. Rudolf - Not the biggest fan honestly. I'll give him credit for being better than he was in the original Gaiden, where he just came off as a generic "Rage against the heavens guy" (Here he even seemed to feel some sympathy to what Duma was going through) but aside from that, his plan was just so freaking weird and the way he handled Berkut's situation was also really awful IMO. I like Walhart as a villain a lot more honestly.
  21. Weird thing is, I actually do feel that Misty Lee's performance here is a lot better than it was in Heroes. Because she's doing her own thing with the voice now, instead of just being an imitation of Camilla's original Eng voice like Hinoka and Takumi's still are. But that aside. I do wish they had brought back Kris Zimmerman-Salter for this game. Because the Fates characters, both the recasts and reprisals, just don't have the enjoyable flair that Kris Zimmerman gave to the voice direction for them IMO. I mean compare Xander's voice here to Fates. He had something completely different in his pitch and tone that he's completely lacked since that game.
  22. Personally I love her because she's badass, beautiful, and her morally ambiguous personality is rather intriguing to me as well. I had Robin marry her in my first playthrough of Awakening and didn't regret that decision in the slightest honestly, haha. Her support conversations with Nah and Libra are pretty great as well, and her conversation with Robin (married) in that beach DLC is pretty nice too. And Stephanie Sheh's voice for her? Freaking awesome performance IMO (that being said, I feel she truly perfected the voice in Fates as "Rhajat") As for the whole "abusive mother" thing... While I'm not defending that in the slightest, I do feel it's important to note that the Tharja in the present and the Tharja in the ruined future aren't "necessarily" the same person. Those are two rather different contexts if I'm being honest.
  23. Zeke - I loved him in FE1 & 3, and honestly l feel the same about him here really! Also I feel that Partick Seitz did a better job with his voice than Travis Willingham did in Heroes. Saber - He's the "team dad" of Celica's route and he's pretty great as a character. His interactions with Celica were always pretty nice IMO. His VA also does him justice! Desaix - He... hates religion/Gods (Which is pretty different from most of the other nobles of Zofia I'd imagine) and is Dan Woren's first ACTUAL role in the franchise. Those are the only two things I remember about him in all honesty. Not the worst villain of all time obviously, but even Slayde is better than him if I'm being honest. Kliff - My favourite Ram villager! I love his English voice, his design, his personality. Everything. And I WISH he had way more story relevance because he comes off as pretty intriguing IMO (On a side note: he looks so freaking hot as a mage holy shit) Palla - My favourite of the Whitewings! She looks and sounds beautiful. Also she's pretty down to earth and likable. Grieth - I actually love the guy. His dialogue with his goon before you fight him is pretty entertaining. And he even comes off as fairly interesting in his conversation with Celica before the map starts, and in his death quote too. So definitely a pretty great villain for what he is. Python - I mentioned this earlier I believe, but I love his dynamic with Forsyth, and his attitude towards everything is kinda relatable as well. As he unit he isn't too great admittedly, but whatever. I'll still use him lovingly though, haha. Mae - She's decent I guess. I've definitely warmed up to her as a character since I first played the game, and I can't deny that Cherami Leigh brings a lot of energy to the role as well. Nuibaba - She reminds me of Aversa... if she was "truly" evil I guess? (doesn't help that they even share the same english VA!) but yes. She's a decent villain really, not much to say about her aside from that.
  24. Mathilda - She has great voice acting, and a pretty cool character I suppose. But I do share everyone else's sentiment that her ending is just weird. Genny - She seems likable on a surface level I suppose? I mean I recruited Deen so I never saw her supports with Sonya admittedly XD. But yeah she's a pretty useful healer too. Fernand - Honestly? He's my second favourite villain in the game! (and I'm saying this as someone who hasn't even seen the DLC) because his motivations for being one are pretty believable IMO. And his voice acting is perfect too "As if the word of a backwater noble carries weight with me." And his eventual fate (along with the memory prism) did make me tear up admittedly. So yeah, overall I quite like the man! He's my third favourite "3DS FE villain" really... And is definitely a lot better than Berkut if I'm being honest.
  25. Clair - Her type of character usually tends to be one of my favourites, and Clair is no exception! She's pretty adorable and funny, and it's nice that she makes an effort to come off as less "holier than thou" if that makes sense. Leon - He's a really sweet guy who I'm glad exists honestly. I like his backstory and his thing with Valbar is well handled IMO. He's also a good mage killer so that's a plus! Massena - Once again, he's a good enough character for what he is, I guess. However it's awesome that he resembles Cervantes though! (Which I'd imagine was more than likely intentional)
