  1. I intended to buy the full pack but I ended up buying the Anna DLC separately due to money issues. The thing is that buying the rest of the maps separately would still be far more expensive than bying the full Map Pack. Can I still buy the Map Pack later without having to buy them all separately, even though I already bought the one with Anna?
  2. It's a good theory and it does make sense (if not for the fact that Tharja, Gaius and Cordelia have no reason the leave to other realms) but I highly doubt it is the case. The expys, along with the child mechanic, are only in the game purely for fanservice without them giving too much thought. You are giving the writers too much credit.
  3. No, in Awakening the subs could be removed. But the problem is that the subs in Fates aren't good, they fill too much of the screen and distract from the scene. They also subbed noises which distracts even more. But I suppose if they are hard-subbed as you said then they won't fix it with an update, it's a shame. Thank you for your answers, guys.
  4. I got Birthright about two weeks ago and as I was playing I got annoyed and distracted at the subtitles and used the options menu to turn them off. But when I got to the next cutscene they still played. Is this a glitch? Someone else is having this problem?
  5. Seeing this makes me want to play Shadow Dragon again. I don't have an youtube account to subscribe though... :(
  6. I want to see Gumshoe again. He appearing just for one case is enough for me. Since AA 4, I was curious about Maya's grown up appearance. Pearl appearing in Dual Destinies made me happy and now we got to see Maya. I'm getting hyped!!
  7. Sumia always reminded me of Florina. Same for Stahl and Abel. Lon'qu is the Navarre of Awakening but I wouldn't go as far as to call him his descendant.
  8. You do realize that "ve" doesn't exist in Japanese, right? "Abel" is pronounced as "Aberu", "Veld" as "Berudo", etc. While you can argue that "Be" in Japanese could go for either "be" or "ve", due the fact the Percy's and Cherche's wyverns are (or rather, was i Percy's case) named after Michalis and Minerva who were also wyvern riders, I'm pretty sure Sphie's horse was ideed intended to be named after the Cavalier Abel. You know what is stupid and added nothing? The localization version of Saizo and Beruka's C Support. Really, just because it added nothing mean it's justifiable to remove completely? Why not remove the battle animations while we are at it? Granted, I don't think it was necessary for the japanese version to include them in the first place, but they included and it really doesn't hurt the game in any form. Why then the localization felt the need to remove them? They are optional, you don't need to buy them if you don't want to, but why remove the option for those who did want? EDIT: I double checked the japanese kanas used in the horse's name and you were right about being Avel. They used "ヴェ" instead of "ベ". I admit that I was wrong in that particular case.
  9. Well, while I don't know were you can find the entire list of japanese supports and don't know everything about the original content as I'm trying to stay clean of spoilers at least for the Birthright route, I can list a few things I think the localization handed poorly based on what I heard and confirmed through another sources: - Some changes with names that ruined references to past games. Like Abel (the horse) and Michalis (the wyvern) to Avel and Ace for example; - Some poor choices of voices of certain characters like Effie and a few other ones that, while aren't necessarily unfit for the characters, really are hard on the ears (Peri, Setsuna, Selkie, Felicia, etc.); - Some dialogues changed to include flat attempts at humour and lines changed to sound more stupid, like they are aimed at children ("Stupid Nohrian jerks", "Super-double-dupity-dangerous", the Dragon speak, etc.); - Removed content for unjustifiable reasons like the swimsuits and the petting minigame (I get it, some people are not confortable with it. To tell the truth I'm one of the people who cringed at the minigame and found the way the localization handled it to be better and more practical. But just because we are not confortable with it, doesn't mean we should be happy with the removal while people who would have liked the content are undertandably upset. The minigame was optional and we only lost a feature with no replacement). And yes, I am aware that the localization did some improvements over the original text, I'm not saying that all the changes are bad but the amount of bad and unnecessary changes I have seen so far are just inexcusable.
  10. I was waiting for this. I imagine we won't be getting a Pokémon Z or XZ/YZ this time and they will skip to Generation VII instead, which I think it's a shame. A "Third Version" more like a sequel like Black2/White2 would be really cool and we still know nothing about the new legendaries and the Greninja form.
  11. If you plan on doing that, be polite, explain what you disliked and why you think the changes were unnecessary as clearly as possible and try to sound reasonable. It won't change anything in regards to Fates, but if we are lucky it can change how they approach the next title in the series.
  12. To be fair, when I made the topic my intent wasn't to complain but to confirm if this change was real as I was in disbelief. And my country doesn't have much of a voice anymore as Nintendo abandoned us a while back. I don't think there's much I can do about it.
  13. I don't know much about Soleil. What I heard is that she was an lesbian character that could only S Support with males and there was something about drugging her so she could like men. While I do think this situation lacks context, I didn't went on to check to avoid spoilers but I'm pretty sure Nintendo of America would still change the support even if there weren't people making a big deal out of it. And like I said on the first post, I've been swallowing all the changes and removal until now, only complaining about it with some friends. I don't have issues with any of the localized names save Kazahana/Hana, Tsubaki/Subaki, Leon/Leo and Kanna/Kana. And I really think the skinship is better in the localization, even though I find the change to be unnecessary. But the bad and nonsensical changes don't stop even when we think we saw the last of them.
  14. Yeah, maybe I'm just being a little paranoid. But at this point how can I not be?
  15. In that case, they could just change that one line and keep the rest of the dialogue, but it would still be silly and they need to remember that this game is rated "T". I also noticed a while back that the warning about "Alchohol References" present in Awakening's case is not in Fates'.
