  1. Honestly? Lucina. Since I feel that she's misunderstood outside of Fire Emblem. If I'm entirely honest, she's the first character since Sonic the Hedgehog that's caught my interest in a powerful way. I've like Sonic for almost as long as I've been alive, so that's a pretty impressive feat since I wound up liking Fire Emblem on a whim. Oddly ironic since I enjoyed playing Marth and Ike in Brawl and later Roy in Melee but had no interest in trying a Fire Emblem game. Before anyone feels curious and asks, I got the Awakening Special Edition 3DSXL purely because I couldn't get a Pikachu Special edition just to prepare for Pokémon X and Y's release. Heh. I was one choice away from a different Fate. I'm honestly glad I felt some compelling obligation to finish it once I started.
  2. Remember this for future ease. The Avatar and their offspring can turn into Dragons with Dragonstone usage. It wouldn't make sense for someone to just get that power by making friends with any of them.
  3. I second that. It's got to affect both sides for sake of fairness. Though maybe, give the enemy one extra tile of sight over the player's units since players can think independently and craft traps and such. Actually, that gave me an interesting idea. On maps that feature an indoor AND outdoor setting could use it outside exclusively, so it's like natural fog is obscurring the characters' vision. You could craft indoor traps that way.
  4. I sent you an Armory/Arena Shield. My Avatar's name is Freya. Not sure if I last used my cheated file though so my Castle may not be accessible. If you can visit and want to send me something. I take Head Towels. I collect them.
  5. Thank you for the Best Tome. I'd also ask if you could do ones for Fates, but they don't have icons... Maybe other Tomes from different games though? Loptyr comes to mind.
  6. Vaike for one. Amazing Strength Cap and access to Hero for Sol and Axebreaker can make her a very formidable unit.
  7. WOO! I always wanted more of those! :D Could you do the Book of Naga as well? :D
  8. I'm the kind of person that is lazy enough to ask people the time instead of reaching into my pocket for my phone to check the time. What makes you think I'm not lazy enough to check?
  9. The problem with Fates is that the developers knew that the children were a large success in Awakening. The thing about that is that they were all integrated into Awakening's story and had place in the plot, especially Lucina though that goes without saying. The issue with the Fates kids is that they're seriously not needed. They don't add to or detract from the plot in any way. They're just out of place. Additionally, the kids are largely spoiled (before anyone hassles me over this I'm speaking regarding my personal experiences and haven't yet recruited all of them) and just come across as a little arrogant. I appreciate them trying to do things differently, but the Deeprealms are an effort that fell flat on its face. Really, the only Parent-Child supports I actually felt something about were Ophelia and Soleil's A Supports with their fathers. Probably because they at least alluded to the truth. I do love returning characters and I love seeing how they can be further expanded on, but very few kids are a good outcome in Fates.
  10. The amiibo has to be scanned in after you've beaten their Hero Battle. Once summoned the character will then have to be talked to before they go to work in either the Armory or Accessory Shop. However, it only has them working there until you next battle and you couldn't have two amiibo working at once since talking to Ike after Lucina's in one of those facilities for example would merely remove the Hero from that specific facility. I'm not too surprised about the Hoshidan and Dark Crowns not being known about. Nobody knows how to unlock them if they're even unlockable at all.
  11. You're correct. The amiibo accessories, Love Bracelet, Emblem Shield and even the Toga of Love (if you hack it in with Powersaves) are all considered unique items based on the fact that you're given a freebie of each one. I'd distribute them myself otherwise. Especially the Toga of Love since I have access to it. EDIT: I've just checked and it also applies to the Dark Crown and Hoshidan Crown.
  12. Jokes aside, my initial question stands. How much have I missed?
  13. Dear Gods, I've missed so much I'm now invisible! o.o
  14. How much have I missed since I was last here?
  15. I know. But if you use Powersaves, you can put any of the amiibo weapons (forged +7) in your slot 1 character's inventory and have them use it (obviously assuming the class allows it). My Great Lord avatar has had Parallel Falchion +7 and my Dark Knight Avatar has had Thoron +7 because of this. I don't want forged versions of the weapons however. Just the base level of them.
  16. Yeah, it's graphically the same. Regarding the Butterfly Mask, I'm one of the people luckly enough to have access to all of the Fire Emblem amiibo, but I'm actually displeased for the people that don't. My best guess for the crowns is complete the game on Lunatic+ Classic... but that's probably been done already... "FREDERICK, WE NEED MORE PEBBLES! ON THE DOUBLE!" One thing I find really cool (yet at the same time a little displeasing) is that you can put amiibo-locked weapons into your inventory... unfortunately they're all forged... I actually wonder if Parallel Falchion (non-forged) would cause issues with communicating with other games if it was in the Avatar's inventory for example.
  17. Wait seriously? Dude, I'm so sorry. =( I know that Europe had that issue ages back with Awakening and eventually we got the skills and item sets for character 1's inventory. The only things they didn't include was DLC content access, but that's pretty self-explanatory.
  18. Unfortunately, all Powersaves allows is items (including those you shouldn't be able to access), skills (including those you shouldn't be able to access) and basically accessories and materials and foods. Though the Butterfly Mask code doesn't really work and the Toga of Love is just a Bath Towel with better stats.
  19. Honestly, I'm playing through Conquest without DLC or anything external that'd make it easier on myself. I started on Awakening and naturally, as a beginner, chose casual, I've done the same whenever the option's available to me because I like the availability of characters being present again, though I can understand entirely the reason that people play it classic. So, yes, I'm playing on Casual but I adapt my strategies based on the circumstances of the battlefield. Honestly I think my two singlemost difficult chapters were 10 and 17. 10 because I wasn't taking it very seriously and 17 because it actually felt kind of overwhelming. (Even managed to get trapped in the northernmost room on Chapter 17 once). Personally, I don't think the game itself is very difficult per se, but I think that most newbies are under the impression that it's more action-oriented due to them being pulled in from Smash Bros. Critical thinking and analysis are necessary to become a great tactician, which I think some people need to at least improve on.
  20. I actually am a little on the fence about the issue myself. Some of the supports that are already there are shorter than a skirting board ladder... on the other hand, things like Aunt/Uncle - Niece/Nephew conversations would be interesting. As would interactions between any parents to children other than their own (or their sibling's if we're including the other thing). I mean, look at Awakening briefly and think, how interesting would it have been for a Grandparent/Grandchild conversation between Chrom and Morgan? Or maybe Priam and Laurent, Sully and Inigo etc. In any case, it's worth noting that quality and quantity are different things. I'd love more options, but... would the conversations themselves really be worth it?
  21. Literally like every one of Chrom's, the Avatar's, Morgan's, Lucina's, Lon'qu's, Owain's, Cynthia's, Inigo's, Noire's and Severa's. "Looks like Teach just got tenure!" - The Vaike "Pick a God and pray!" - Frederick "For the Blue Flame!" and "The strong survive!" - Priam and lastly... "You will fall to the wayside!" - Walhart (I only vaguely remember this quote, so apologies if it's inaccurate.)
  22. The problem I see is that it was fine as a one-time thing. I'd kinda like to see a sequel to Awakening that features them returning from Fates with Ophelia and Soleil but that's probably because I'd like to see more done with Ylisse, but honestly, the second gen characters in Fates were literally forced in because of how the feature was well received to some degree back in Awakening. The second gen characters in Awakening were written well (certainly better than Fates at least). But in Fates we get literal carbon copies of them. Only one I really liked out of the Awakening rip-offs was Asugi, because he actually seems smarter than Gaius and makes sweets as bribes. As for other carbon copies let's look at: Arthur - Cynthia Felicia - Sumia Subaki - Cordelia Selkie - Nowi Jakob - Frederick Peri - Henry Hayato - Ricken As much as I love Awakening and would like a kind of sequel as described above, reskinning characters and putting them in a new setting ISN'T what I wanted. From my experiences, the 2nd Gen characters in Fates are largely spoiled brats.
  23. How exactly would Lyn be low? Her Defence growth is worse than Roy's, granted, but she's much better than him overall. Judging from my experiences at least.
  24. Priam: Radiance - May trigger Aether at Skill% ÷4.
