Does that only happen with Shamir? Catherine should be in a similar situation as her but even she doesn't end up with with ridiculous higher than expected stats.

Just started using this, cheers. My Shamir somehow has +4 than her expected in almost every stat at level 20. Not sure if that's correct but neat.
