  1. I ended up redownloading my games, and lost the save data. Then again I never really looked too much into it.I probably could have just copied my SD card files back over, but the only games with any progress on then were completed or easily reachable (like halfway through chapter one or something). So I didn't really care enough to dig through the files. If anything, after copying them back over, you might have to go to the eshop and repair the games so they recognize the firmware.
  2. Just under two weeks actually. As for the work, they have been working on an english translation of the JP version for months. I'd assume that the translation is the most intensive part of the project, but I could be wrong. Huh, interesting choice on the part of NoA then, they bothered paying VAs for their work, then went and cut a bunch of it by removing the feature. That's almost as wasteful as Kojima not using multiple original songs he had recorded for MGSV.
  3. Homebrew Menu has it's own eShop application that should allow you to access the eShop without updating. Though once you gain access to the Homebrew Menu, if you have a physical copy of: - Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Cubic Ninja - Super Smash Bros. You should try to install one a hax save file to one of them so you can keep your entry point in case you decide to update anyway.
  4. Officially? They "increase stability." Most of the updates recently have been to prevent hacking, though 10.5 specifically fixed a problem that 10.4 introduced that could corrupt SD cards.
  5. It really depends on the firmware version of the JP 3ds, but that's a pretty expensive gamble.
  6. You'll need either a Powersaves or someone who can access the Homebrew menu, then you'll need either a copy of Ocarina of Time or Cubic Ninja (I've heard Smash Bros works too, but it's apparently more difficult). With either Powersaves or access to Homebrew, you can add a save to these games that will launch Homebrew when selected.
  7. Sorta, look for the "Content Restoration and Delocalization" thread in the Fan Projects Forum. The patch isn't finished yet, but it's looking good that they'll be able to add all the accessories back in. It's also a custom patch, meaning you'll need a way to access the Homebrew Menu and use HANS (a programs that allows various tweaks, one of which is custom patches) to launch your game.
  8. Since most of this post was answered, I'm just going to focus on this question. The patcher is ONLY for those who are using a flashcart or Custom Firmware. If you aren't using either of those, ignore the patcher. The zip files are the patch itself, and to use these with a physical copy, you'll need a way to access the Homebrew Menu, either through Ninjahax, OoThax, or Smashhax. Then you'll have to boot the game using the program HANS which comes with most Homebrew Menu data, this program temporarily applies custom patches to games. As I understand it, you'll need to launch the game through HANS every time you play.
  9. Huh, had no idea flashcarts didn't work above 9.2, I always figured people used them because they had upgraded. Either way, seems like a waste of money if you can get the same result with cfw.
  10. If they can keep finding loopholes for the Homebrew Channel, you could always patch them back in once they finish up the delocalization patch.
  11. I wasn't questioning the dub, I figured it was only a matter of days until they fixed the Kamui voices in chapter 5 that were causing the crash. Glad to know they've fixed it.
  12. There was an estimate on the first page of about 2-3 weeks. I've also been reading some twitter feeds of people on the project and apparently most of the re-enabling (for amie and the swimsuits) is fairly simple. So the bulk of the work is translation since a lot of Amie stuff doesn't have a translation yet. Also the translation (if its the same translation that's been floating around) needs some editing.
  13. There are no english voice files for the face rubbing feature. They might offer a version with everything reenabled, but english voices, but then there'd just be silence for most of the Amie bit. The only voice files of Amie in the NA version are the actual support convos once you've reached a certain level of affection, all the moans and giggles and such don't exist in the NA version.
