Do we know if the Firene and Solm queens make it or not?

I am curious to see what Fogado’s is like considering how charming/flirty he seemed in the JP footage

Solely based off of aesthetic and what we know about the characters: Villager: Atlas, his design is hot as hell, not sure if he's going to be an interesting character though. Archer: At first I would've said Python because he's also gorgeous and one of my favourite redesigns, but after learning some new things about Leon I've got to give it to him, he's also got a beautiful design as well. Mage: I love Booey's design but after hearing Mae's voice I have to give it to her, she's awesome. I really like Sonya and Luthier's designs as well. Knight/Soldier: Lukas Cleric: Slique Mercenary: Jesse and his pecs but Kamui is a close second Pegasus Knight: Catria Cavalier: Conrad

That was an amazing OP The guys in this game are super hot and the women look stunning as well, some of the best character designs in the series imo, right up there with the Tellius games.

Right? Jesse and Atlas are hunky as hell i just really love Hidari's style in general though, it fits FE so well!

The tellius games are my favourites so from them, Ike is the obvious choice I would love to see both his PoR (ranger and lord) as well as his RD versions make it in. Micaiah is more popular than Elincia (going by the poll) and is a rare light magic user whilst Elincia has competition from more popular Pegasus knights (Caeda and Cordelia). I would personally love to see Soren (with wind magic as his specialty) and Ranulf because they are my favourites and could have unique play styles. Black Knight is likely to make it in some form due to being one of the series' most popular and iconic villains. I would also love to see a bird clan Laguz, the hunky Tibarn would be ideal. I think from Marth's games we will be getting him, and Tiki (both versions) for sure. Caeda has a strong chance and I would personally love Minerva. I think Celica from FE2 has a strong chance due to her unique class and with echoes coming out in the same year. Roy from FE6 has a strong chance as well due to his popularity and iconic status for the series due to smash. I don't think we'll be getting FE 4-5 reps, at least not right away. From FE7, my girl Lyn is basically a lock. Hector too due to him being the only axe lord and his popularity. Eliwood is less likely but still possible. Would personally love Raven, Lucius, Jaffar, Ninian or Nino but I don't think most of them have a chance. I only think Ephraim will make it in from FE8 due to him being the main lance lord, Eirika has less of a chance imo. Chrom is already confirmed and Lucina and Robin are basically locks. Tharja is a lock too only because she's popular. Owain/Odin has a slight chance too I would say due to his popularity and Cordelia could definitely be in as well, due to being more popular than Caeda (according to the poll). And from Fates; Xander, Corrin, Ryoma, Takumi, Azura, Camilla and Leo are basically locks due to their popularity and unique weapons. Would personally love my husband Niles to be in, as well as Odin, solely due to his outfit.

I honestly can't take people who use the term "SJW" seriously. Or the word "pander" which people only seem to apply when someone other than themselves gets something. A NoA representative is more proof than no one saying it was made to appeal to yaoi and Yuri fans. It's clear that they did this because of previous criticism from TL and Awakening, a lot of which was from LGBT people. Or it was because LGBT people wanted to play as themselves..? You seem to hate "SJW." Can't really tell what you're arguing, is this about "SJW pandering" or the games feature being for yaoi/Yuri fans? "Yes" FE was always animu, and it was redesigned to have more broad appeal period, not specifically for the "animu" crowd which actually doesn't consist of that many people. This is why they added a casual mode and promoted a demo for Awakening. Same sex marriage in this game was obviously added to make the game more inclusive, my main point (which you didn't seem to quote) is that Japan's only mainstream frame of reference to LGBT people and their lives is yaoi/yuri so of course they're going to use the tropes from those, because it's easy. Western media had the same problem with every LGBT person being a stereotype or trope and that's only recently changed.

Citation needed. Nintendo says otherwise actually. It's just that Japan's only mainstream frame of reference to LGBT people comes from Yaoi/Yuri. Early depictions of LGBT characters in Western media were based off of popular tropes and stereotypes as well, it took years to have more realistic LGBT characters/relationships depicted in mainstream media and we're still not fully there yet and I don't think any Japanese developer will be anytime soon either, but at least they're trying which is the important first step. But the option was added most likely because A) the tomodotchi life backlash and B) lots of people wanted same sex romance in Awakening. I think people overestimate how big the yaoi/Yuri crowd is.

I am gay myself and I do like Niles. Especially in the localized version where his creepiness is toned down. Rhajat was an awful choice imo, she shouldn't have been the sole f/f choice. However these characters are problematic because they're both kind of psycho. Niles is a sadist and Rhajat is a creepy stalker. Those being the only gay options is kind of a turn off and I know a lot of other LGBT people feel the same way. It especially doesn't make sense to me that they didn't make Silas and Soleil same sex romance options, they make a lot sense and aren't problematic characters. If the same sex options were Niles, Silas, Soleil and Rhajat I think that would've been a perfect balance and we'd have a gay and lesbian option in all versions of the game. This is Nintendo's first time even tackling this so I'm not surprised that it isn't perfect, I'm glad that they have gay marriage in the first place but I hope they learn from this and expand.
