Please refrain from spreading misinformation. It is most certainly NOT "quite risky" to downgrade a new 3ds. I've done it twice, set up arm9loaderhax on both of them with zero issues. In fact, it can be argued that merely setting up emuNAND (not CFW btw, it's emuNAND) is a fairly large risk to newcomers to the 3ds scene, as you always need to make sure you're on emuNAND before doing a variety of things, one of which is updating, something which you must avoid doing on sysNAND at all costs or your 3DS is finished in terms of hacking unless you are capable of hard-modding (yes, this works because of a new method of downgrading that was discovered for even 11.0) or you have another hacked 3DS. emuNAND is also pretty inconvenient, with unreliable boot rates, requiring GBA VC games to be installed or injected twice to both sysNAND and emuNAND, wasting space on your SD card (redNAND is a little better, but not by too much), and having to go through homebrew launcher for everything instead of being able to instantly boot to tools that you may need using a boot manager with a9lh, built-in or otherwise.
