  1. Valla is basically another world. How about you actually play Revelation and read the dialogue (even though Revelation's story still isn't the best)?

The portal closing is explained early on in Revelation. The closing could have been made permanent by Anankos being dead.

Hoshido and Nohr can simply, you know, give land? Like mark off borders for a new kingdom since the original land of the kingdom is ruined, has a giant dragon-god corpse, and is sealed off? Or is something like the Lousiana Purchase alien to you?

Don't be a sarcastic ass. There's a reason why people ask questions. Thanks though. Wait, they literally chop off land and give it to Valla, wtf. How does that work if its a different world?

Ah, don't think too hard about Revelation. It's just there to deliver fan service for the characters of the other two routes. Therefore, no regular Valla people really need to exist :P

Oh, I didn't know about the ceding land/population part (haven't played through Revelation in whole yet). The "how" I can deal with, but the "why" sounds stupid. I can understand land, but population too? So now this group of Nohrians and Hoshidans is just supposed to mesh their identities and cultures together without a problem and live together happily? Cuz that would totally work without a hitch, like in Africa -____-

Xander and Ryoma, get yo sh*ts together

Yeah, Fire Emblem has really been slacking when it comes to bringing life to locations. Like I remember back in Tellius where we had unique cultures/races for every continent. That's never come back sadly.

  2. WTF is this place? Why are there like no regular people? Why are islands floatings? Also from wiki:

After the death of Anankos in Revelation, the original Valla is sealed away with the final and permanent closing of its portals, but the kingdom is not forgotten as before. Hoshido and Nohr cede land from their northern territories, as well as a third of their combined population, to form a restored Valla. The Avatar is then crowned as ruler of the new kingdom.

Why do they close the portals permanently? As a result, it's not forgotten (I though it would be the other way around)? Why did Hoshido/Nohr cede land and how did they even cede land if its in a different dimension?

Seriously, this Valla place is either the most mysterious place in the series or the most half- baked ideas.

  3. Dotty, based on our 6-8 matches with my Link/ZSS vs your Marth, this is what I have to say.

    Good:

-Your spacing is very good, probably better than most I've played on this site. I couldn't shieldgrab most of your aerials when you attacked my shield. You got this one really cool tipper Fsmash on my getup.

-Your option selects were very good. Like when you dancing bladed me on and realized I shielded the 3 hit, you cancelled it and did a forward tilt in the opposite direction, likely to catch my roll. You had the right idea, but you probably need to wait the roll out a bit longer since I was still invincible during the roll. Smash 4 rolls are dumb.

-You don't have any really bad habits like rolling or airdodging too much, so props on that.

    Bad:

-Your movement patterns were extremely predictable. At most times during the match, I could reasonably guess where you were going to land and where you'd jump to. Utilize crossups more (as in literally cross your opponent more) instead of constantly staying a specific spacing from me. I was able to capitalize on this much harder with Link since his projectiles bring you down more easily. Also, short hop more. Short hops are way less predictable than full hops and given how floaty Marth is with low horizontal airspeed, you don't want to full hop too often, it puts you in a bad juggling position.

    Suggestions:

-Try tomahawking more. Look up the word for a more thorough definition, but basically you should fake an opponent expecting an aerial by jumping in front of them and either grabbing, shielding, or straight up attacking because you may catch them during the startup of a roll or grab (I think Marth's side B is a great tool for tomahawking, as well as his jab)

-Jab cancel more. Marth's jab cancel is so good and I suggest you research all possible combos and option selects you can get from it.

-Grab more. You let me sit in shield for free a lot of the time. Marth's grab may seem like bad reward, but he does get dthrow combos up to around 50% on most characters IIRC and it still sends them into a favorable juggle/edgeguard postion.

Hope that helps. As I mentioned before, I do critiques for anyone that I've played here and that requests it, so just ask (make sure to ask same day though, my memory fades quickly).

  4. Hey, a lot of you are weaboos. What are some good male tsundre characters (if they exist)?

Also, you may post your favorite female tsunderes here if you want, I guess. *shrugs*

  5. Those are some epic mindgames right there.

Now Sakurai said that they balance the game around low- and midlevel play. But stuff like Final Touch, Counter Surge or Witch Time look to me like they are just plain ridiculous on low levels.

Nah, these things affect high level play too. Cloud has effectively ruined doubles with Finishing Touch. More than half the teams in top 8 at Shots Fired 2 have a Cloud. The extent to how much Bayonetta affects singles has not been explored yet, though a lot of people dislike her. She has the best out of the gate singles results.

Counter Surge is pretty broken too, but Corrin is not THAT good outside of it so he can pass. I would want to balance some equity amongst counters though, why are there counters like completely superior to each other?
