  1. Thanks! I prefer the Spd bane over the Res one, since I have no real use for a speed build and the Res bane can hurt some of her matchups against dragons. For example, a +10 Nowi with an Atk boon or any sort of attack buffs can kill a Cherche with a Res bane, but a Cherche with a Spd bane can tank her if it's needed. I find that to be handy in some cases. The speed build, however, does look interesting on her though! As for my next merge project, I'm planning on either Catria, Palla, or Masked Marth. But, for the moment, I think I'm going to work on promoting some of my 4* characters that have been waiting in the wings for awhile. With 4 characters at max merges, I have a full AA starter team, so there's no longer the impetus to do more merges in order to garner more rewards. Now I have greater liberty to spread out my feather usage. How about you? Who's up next for you?
  2. After several months of waiting, the last two copies I needed to complete Cherche finally appeared! And here she is: It seriously was a long wait, and, as I remarked before, I had the time to raise Fir from +0 to +10 before either of these two copies showed up. With Cherche complete, I'm now up to four 5*+10 units! Moreover, the last copy turned out to be the nature I wanted most for her: +Atk/-Spd. Prior to then, I made do with a +Atk/-HP. I also have skills optimized for the Arena (e.g., Aether, Dual Rally), but the above is what I prefer to run for utility. With her extraordinary attack stat, Glimmer almost always activates on the second hit of her axe, leaving many a foe reduced to dust. ---- @mampfoid Nice Cherche! I see I finished mine not long after you finished yours! @NSSKG151 That's a lovely Catria you have there! Catria and Palla are likely going to be my next merge projects, so then I'll have all three Whitewings at max power!
  3. The article I linked describes that. Same! I usually find reading to be a more productive use of my time when it comes to things like that, since it's easy to find the information I want. Videos aren't always the best at conveying the specifics of a rule. Thanks! Actually, yes, with some minor tweaking to the strategy, it can be done with just a Dazzling Refine, no Wrathful Staff needed. Turns out that Fjorm can just tank and kill both Micaiah and the green cav mage on turn 3, which makes the process simpler. Edit: I updated the strategy to remove the use of Wrathful Staff, so now there's just the Dazzling refine. No Razzle Dazzle needed! That should be make it even more accessible. Oh, and feel free to tag me.
  4. I wrote up an Infernal strategy for a relatively gacha-free team of Olivia, BK, Fjorm, and Genny, but I've since edited the strategy such that Wrathful Staff is not needed. As such, someone like Lissa with Gravity+ and a Dazzling refine can be substituted for Genny. The map here is conducive to bottle-necking, making the Gravity+ staff especially effective. Genny had Atk+3, Savage Blow 3, & Savage Blow 1 SS; Fjorm had the QR SS. Olivia and BK should be fine with just their base kits, but you can throw a Hone Atk seal on BK if your healer needs more Atk at the end. Here is the strategy. Note, for the first picture, I just kept the panels from my original run, so Genny will have Wrathful staff, and the HP numbers will be different in the pic, but the moves are the same. My first clear was achieved on my first try with Tiki, PA Azura, Deirdre, and Genny. It was essentially another chapter in the unending saga of Tiki Tanks Things, with some useful kiting on Genny's part. That's what inspired the strategy I wrote up. I like this one; I thought the one-turn clear might pose a bit of a challenge this time, what with all of the trenches and pillars, but apparently not! In my view, the idea of recording video just to learn what the AI is going to do just seems like going way too far. Moreover, it's probably going to give you the wrong set of rules, since the AI for your team's auto-battle is usually different from the AI used for the enemy. The AI for the enemy usually prioritizes dealing the most damage; the AI for your side during auto-battle prioritizes taking the least amount of damage. Instead, check out the "Arena Rules" section of this article on the AI: https://feheroes.gamepedia.com/AI For the most part, a sophisticated understanding of the AI isn't necessary. The AI will generally prioritize the units they can do the most damage to, and they will move towards the unit they can do the most damage to when all units are outside attacking range and they don't have an assist.
  5. Well, another day of Tempest, and I reached 75k points, which puts me at... 839. A lot of the competition appears to have died down after hitting the 50k mark. I don't think it should be too bad if I want to maintain a top 5k rank, although cracking the 1k mark sort of makes me want to compete for that. Who knows!
  6. Blushing helmets are indeed the best helmets! Yes, I've noticed, even at this juncture. Once I passed 50k after I posted that last night, I jumped over 1k ranks all at once. There could very well be a number of people who just wanted to grind the 50k and be done with it.
  7. Very nice, congratulations! She looks great, of course. I'm glad my Tiki served to inspire you, she's definitely been my most useful and powerful unit. I also approve of doing Catria next. I have plans to +10 Catria, once I pull sufficient copies of her, along with Palla. My second 5*+10, though, was the younger Whitewing, Est.
  8. How's the grind going for everyone? I decided I might aim for the 1k-5k bracket, but it seems really competitive. At ~50k points, I'm sitting at 3,300 right now. I'm not sure I'll keep up with that pace for the entire thing, but it was fun for now. I wanted to grind up some HM, and I'd been neglecting my supports for awhile now. I got most of my armors paired up, although I must say, it was a little strange to see BK blush through the helmet.
  9. I usually build up every 5* unit I get, regardless of whether they're any good or not, unless they're a fodder unit. While I don't give them all expensive builds, I do generally fill out every slot with a useful skill. Every unit in this game can be useful, if you want to put the energy and resources into making them so. That's one nice aspect of this game. Nobody is unusable. As for some of my projects, here's Fir. I also plan on making all of the Whitewings +10. Est is currently the only one finished, since she's a core member of my Arena team. But here are all three in their current states!
  10. This is beautiful. I happened across this team when I was handing out Arena wins with my extra crests: Also, I finished up my Arena Assault run for the week... it was such a pain. Almost every team ran a Legendary Lucina or a dancer. Future Vision definitely gave me some trouble, and I always hate facing dancers. My score was 5,189, which is a new high for me.
  11. For my first and main run in the Arena this week, I got 3,666, which I believe was a new high score for me. However, that still wasn't enough to remain in T20, so I did some fishing just now, and managed to bump up my score to 3,678. With just a couple hours left, this should be more than enough to keep me in T20, since I'm ranked 3,904 out of 6,181 to stay. I used my team of Tiki+10, Est+10, Fir+10, and Fjorm+0. I had Cherche sit this one out, since she's only +8. It went surprisingly smoothly even without any greens on my team. For Arena Assault, I finally handed out a significant amount of blessings to my team to help boost my score. I also decided to give Cherche and Fir Aether and Dual Rallies. My efforts netted me a new high score of 5,165, which looks sufficient for the 3k-5k bracket. That's more or less where I was before, but I'm much more comfortably positioned within the bracket. Also, @Rafiel's Aria I saw your team in the Arena today! While I was tempted to fight them, I ended up passing since they were below the score threshold of what I wanted to face. Still, I think it's pretty fun to see familiar names pop up.
  12. Actually, there tend to be quite a few johns around these parts when it comes to GHBs and the like. I see plenty of people complain that they can't do Infernal mode because they don't have the right units or whatnot, and they'll claim it's literally impossible for them. This can be frustrating, especially if you've done some work trying to help them get a clear.
  13. I agree, I'm inclined to think the 8/21 New Heroes banner is the more likely one of the two to be CYL 2. It's 3 weeks instead of 2, and there are lots of events around it to give us a healthy stash of orbs, including Feh's Summer Celebration. But it's plausible that the other banner is CYL, and it's also totally possible that both of these are just faking us out and that CYL is coming later in September or October. If the 8/21 banner is CYL, that would give time for a good Voting Gauntlet theme: this year's CYL versus last year's. The later banner could also be Farfetched Heroes 2. Or something random -- who knows! Mia could use an alt, and I'm happy that Tellius characters are finally getting at least a little more attention. That said, I'm looking forward to CYL, so I'd like it if Mia could spare my orbs and hold off on having an alt for a bit. But I agree that Binding Blade could use more representation too, it's been awhile since they've seen any love. Milady when? I hope it's not Legendary Micaiah this month, since she just got the new alt, and that banner would overlap with the current one. My intuition tells me that IS has more sense than to do that. Now, despite the two Tellius characters on the banner, this technically is a "Hoshidan Festival." With that in mind, I imagine that the TT is Birthright themed, and I'll offer the guess that the Legendary Hero is Corrin. We also have the BHB Revival featuring Corrin and Azura to bolster that impression.
  14. @Zeo I see your team is coming along nicely! I'd like to +10 Lukas sometime myself, since he was one of my favorite characters from Echoes, but that's a very distant dream for me, since I plan to work on Catria, Palla, Masked Marth, and a few other characters first. Matthew is definitely coming along quite well for you! I hope you manage to pull that final copy sometime soon. I definitely understand the pain of waiting for those last pulls. I need two more pulls on Cherche, who has been sitting at +8 for several months now. Fir went from +0 to +10 while waiting for those pulls, and I've promoted several others to 5* in the meantime as well. I used to pull Cherche all the time, and now I'm wishing that I had kept more of those copies...!
  15. Haha, I was thinking the same thing, although I think plenty of people make exceptions for alts of their favorite characters. I'd really like for Minerva to get an alt, along with the rest of the Whitewings. Those are among my most desired characters for alts. As for Ryoma and Xander, I'd be okay with Ryoma getting an alt (although I certainly wouldn't pull for it), since he only has his Legendary version as his sole variant. However, I think it would be a bit much for Xander, since he already has 3 versions and he's pretty much guaranteed to have a Legendary version show up sometime, which would push him up to 5 if he also showed up here. I, too, wouldn't mind having something I could skip. It's nice to have a decent stockpile of orbs on hand.
  16. Whew, I found the armor clear to be pretty tough, but my team managed to pull it off in the end. I've written up two strategies, since I realized my first strategy was contingent upon Hector being -Spd, which causes the cleric to attack him, since he can be doubled. This might work with a neutral LA Hector, although Ignis should be used instead of Bonfire, because we want the CD on the skill to be 3. Amelia could be swapped out for a different unit, especially in the second strategy, since she didn't do anything except heal and buff. My first team consisted of: OG Hector, +Atk/-Spd nature | Armads, Pivot, Bonfire, DC, Vantage, Goad Armor, and Atk+3 SS LA Lyn, -Atk nature | Atk Refine, Glacies, Atk/Spd Bond, Armor March, Drive Atk 2 SS BK | Black Luna, Steady Stance 3, Vantage 3, QP SS Amelia | Spd Refine, Reciprocal Aid, Armor March, Hone Atk 1 SS (if Hector isn't +Atk, this would need to be a level 3 seal) Here's the strategy with that team, in case anyone is interested. It was actually a pretty satisfying one, and the symmetry at the end was pretty nice. For my second armor clear, I swapped Hector with LA Hector (+Spd, -HP) (with Ignis instead of Bonfire, and Ward Armor instead of Goad). I also gave BK the Spd+3 seal instead of QP. Here is the strategy with that:
  17. That's a good point, and one I considered making myself, but decided against it, since clearly everyone was referring to modern sports. In any case, I'm not sure what sort of dress they would have for some medieval sports. It could be interesting, but it could also look pretty odd. Or it would otherwise ramp up the age rating on the game, since sports in ancient Greece were usually done in the nude. But... you never know when you'll need to fill 300 bars of stamina! Especially now that things like GHBs and such don't cost any stamina. And yeah, it's not a stamina-hungry thing, since really, you should only need to go into the Training Tower 5 times at most for Wrys, assuming you were getting one kill per entry. I wonder if they're ever going to implement something where we can actually make use of all of the excess items we acquire. The SSs made use of the excess badges, or, rather they did for awhile. Now I'm swimming in near infinite badges again.
  18. Yeah, I did mine in a similar fashion, except I brought Robin and Nino along as well so they could knock out their quests in the process too. I just used crystals to level up a 3* Wrys to level 40, and it was fine. Nice! Glad to see you managed to get everything. I'm glad that they capped the amount for each person, so that it didn't turn into an RNG grind nightmare. Imagine how much fun it would be if the bonds kept going after the max had been reached! As for the max multiplier, yeah, it's 2x, just sometimes one gets lucky with the drops. I don't think we do. And I agree, a sports banner would be even more atmosphere breaking, even more so than the holiday banners. That would put them in distinctly modern dress, as compared with the holiday banners, where one could argue that the clothes are not completely beyond what's conceivable in a medieval fantasy setting. Likewise, I hope they never do a school banner either.
  19. I... I literally don't know what your point is... at all... My understanding was that the Christmas season was a goldmine for these types of games. But maybe I'm off on that point, or maybe it's totally right. In either case, you appear to have completely missed the point.
  20. I know! I was also expecting an RNG mess, but was pleasantly surprised to see that the game would no longer give you points for the maxed character. Once I saw that, I took advantage of the 2x multiplier last night to max out the rest of the characters. It was fun, since I got to use my new Lucina. That's interesting, and, even supposing spending did slow down, it still is drawing in significant revenue. However, the analytics company that came up with the $400m revenue estimate also claims that the game's momentum "isn't waning in the slightest." They also point out that FEH brought in $23m in June, and that was the second highest earnings in a month for the lifespan of the game thus far. So, without knowing the spending distribution for the first year, it's hard to compare how this year is doing in comparison. We have 2-3 of the biggest events of the year yet to come: CYL 2, the start of Book III, and Christmas. Also, these are just estimates... I assume they're probably reliable, but it's difficult to know just how reliable they are, without actual data from Nintendo to confirm.
  21. @Usana@Arthur97@Sunsurge@NSSKG151 Well, would you believe it, I actually managed to pull Lucina with only my meager stash of 39 orbs! Not only that, she's +Atk/-Res! I'm quite happy, and perhaps all of the luck you guys wished for me convinced the RNG Goddess to relent after tormenting me on the Tana banner. I'm hoping you guys managed to have some good luck as well!
