Indeed we are :(. What a shame, I was expecting another good conversation out of Rhajat after reading her one with Corrin. But given how many she has based around her obsession, I know I shouldn't have set my expectations that high. Probably gonna pair Hayato off to either my Avatar or Sakura when I get Birthright.

Oh my god that's so sweet! I like how they were subtle in referencing Corrin and Benny's supports.

Well that was... disappointing, I was half hoping this would be about how Asugi may have inherited his sweet tooth from Corrin or at least be as sweet as Kana/Saizo (no pun intended). My main gripe with this conversation, among other things, is that Corrin is acting uncharacteristically paranoid when she knows Saizo agreed to stop watching her (Hell, this conversation probably happened around the same time Saizo was talking with Kana). Such a shame, though, this was one of the few Avatar/Birthright character pairings I genuinely liked. Oh well, at least the Corrin/Kaze family is nice.

At first I thought it was going to go in a bad direction until I read this part: Kamui: It has the prayers of us, as husband and wife, for you to have a wonderful future and to be happy. Syalla: !! Kamui: Is something wrong? Syalla: Uu Im happy Im so happy! Im feeling such deep emotions that I might just become a dragon inadvertently Mother, do you know what Im feeling right now? Im feeling a deep sense of love and gratitude that could rival the stars. Please don't botch this one NoA, if we can't have a sweet conversation with Rhajat as our wife, at least let us have one with her as our daughter. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go cry tears of happiness.

Nice to see another convo with Kana inheriting traits from his father, now I'm curious about Corrin/Velouria.

What I don't understand is not only how both Ryoma and Hinoka could have been there and were able to walk away in one piece (unless they were hiding but that would have made for a very contradictory statement on Ryoma's part), especially considering Hinoka hadn't even begun her training, but also how they both could have known Corrin for a meaningful amount of time when Sakura was still a newborn at the time of Corrin's kidnapping (I know this is only specifically mentioned in the Japanese version, but it should still be the same considering Azura was also kidnapped while her younger stepsister was still an infant). Either way, could we all drop this before we completely go off topic?

That's not entirely true, everyone except Elise, who wasn't born until after Azura was kidnapped, knew about her, though granted Xander was the only one mentioned to ever interact with her prior to being taken while the other two were told to keep away by their mothers, so I'll give you that.

Actually, that was Kaze's. But even then he never came off as obsessed with getting Corrin back, though he did feel guilty about not realizing what was happening and doing something.

I'm not saying their feelings are invalid, I'm saying they show an inexplicable amount of love for someone they didn't know for very long. The Nohr family barely got a chance to know Azura and, while they were happy to be reunited with her (which is perfectly natural), with the exception of Elise, they weren't suddenly overwhelmed with joy. Edit: Can we please stop the post-war? I admit that I inserted too much of my own bias into that post and I didn't think through everything, but it's nothing to get so worked up about!

Hearing about that actually caused me to realize it myself. I did notice that, actually. Sakura and Takumi didn't bother me as much, especially in the latter's case, but I'd be remiss if I never saw Ryoma and Hinoka as obsessive. Believe it or not, some of Hinoka's dialogue actually made me cringe more than Camilla's, and unlike her Nohrian counterpart, she a) has no reason for why she's so doting on Corrin and b) never shows the same amount of affection to her other younger siblings, and it shows in their supports. Ryoma's no better: he actively takes every opportunity to demonize Nohr so that Corrin can come back to Hoshido, outright lies about their bloodline, uses an innocent girl's life as a bargaining chip to get Corrin to come home and, when they refuse, attempts to kidnap them, all for a younger sibling they've barely known.

I can see why you would see it as a weak support, but then again, Niles has a similar problem in his support with Setsuna, the only difference being there's less chemistry, so if I ever had to pick between pairing him with Setsuna or Oboro, I'd choose Oboro (though Takumi x Oboro is still OTP). In addition to just being uncalled for, some of his judgement calls I found he was in no position to make, such as criticizing Hana's devotion to Sakura when she's known her longer than Silas has known Corrin and is her retainer and telling Felicia she may be the reason for why Corrin's feeling bad when it should be her job to know why. This not only tells me how much Silas needs to get off his high horse, but also just how obsessive he really is.

Corrin/Caeldori was sweet but it kind of makes me wish the former had a better support with Subaki.

Oh, I know people like to do it for the eugenics, however I have also seen cases in which they actually like the supports Oh absolutely, if I had thought of that while making my list I definitely would have included them alongside Corrin/Xander and Corrin/Leo.

Most of the supports I've read feature either Corrin or Azura, so I'll just do some of the supports I didn't particularly like from either of these characters: Azura x Kaze: For the life of me I never understood why so many people like this ship, granted the basis of the support sounds decent on paper, but the way it was executed just leaves the whole thing a confused mess. The chemistry makes no sense, Kaze constantly falls in and out of character, and it hardly feels like they've grown closer by the end of their A support. While I can commend the localization team for cleaning it up a little, this support just couldn't be salvaged. M!Corrin/Almost Every 1st Generation Female: Poor M!Corrin, he really got the short end of the stick in this game. Not only can he not have his daughter without preventing another unit's child from being born or marrying either an Avatar-only character/2nd gen (which honestly don't seem like the most favorable marriage options imo), but his supports just don't seem to make marrying him off worth it. Why? Because many of them follow the same formula. They often feature Corrin encountering the female character he's supporting with who, through whatever means of prompting, ends up providing exposition about themselves or other characters that, more often than not, is already mentioned in other, more interesting supports (ex. Rinkah), rendering S-ranking M!Corrin to a 1st gen completely redundant, and even when M!Corrin's supports don't follow this formula, they tend to be bad (ex. Hana). The only supports I can think of that don't fall into either of these categories are all of the neutral females (i.e. Mozu, Felicia, Azura). F!Corrin/Hinata (S-Support): The end of this support was really disappointing. After so much good buildup, we end with a convoluted love confession and a bitter taste in our mouths. Then again, I'm kind of glad I became turned off from Hinata, because it means I don't have to put up with his son's cringeworthy pickle obsession. F!Corrin/Ryoma and Takumi and Azura/Xander and Leo: I put these four together because they all share a common problem: little to no chemistry. While it is understandable why they wouldn't, given that they were raised in the opposite kingdom, you would think that they would try to reestablish a bond with their long lost sister, but instead they gave us this. The older brothers are probably the worst offenders: Corrin becomes nothing more than a soundboard for exposition that's barely relevant to her while Azura is completely out of character and, much like Corrin with Ryoma, barely develops any chemistry with Xander. While the younger brothers are slightly better, their supports are still extremely lacking, especially Takumi's. And don't even get me started on their S-Supports (not that I ever wanted to marry them off to any of them for obvious reasons).

Can someone please do Corrin/Rhajat? I really want to see what their relationship is like as mother and daughter. P.S. If someone could also do a full translation/summary of Corrin/Soleil and Corrin/Asugi that'd be awesome.
