  1. Until you get Takumi, it's really difficult. After that, it's mostly more tedious than anything, though the difficulty does pick up in the last few chapters.
  2. No, you'd have to download the Conquest route on the Birthright cartridge. Or download Birthright and Revelation on the Conquest cartridge, if you're so inclined.
  3. But BR is the route where she's the hottest... I guess I'll go with Hoshido. They have the female diviner outfit.
  4. Not voting until Forrest is in with the males. My favorite female is Midori. Her personal skill is one of the best in the game, and it was really fun giving her Profiteer and Hoshidian Unity and instakilling lategame enemies - it helps that all her crit quotes are good.
  5. I think alto voices sound better, so I'm going with the Dark Song.
  6. I picked Anna. Why not live life in the lap of luxury and marry the richest character?
  7. Hoshido, since I was one of those Awakening dudes (I have played Path of Radiance, but that was about ten years ago). I prefer Conquest now, at least in terms of map design.
  8. I'd say Birthright, since the plot at least kind of makes sense.
  9. Jajaja, I love it when people get into silly arguments such as this. Anyways, please try to not pollute our gene pool, okay? I do think it's definitely weird, but it's what you get when you have an intended self-insert as the main character.
  10. Stuck with Leo. I'm also getting Sakura, since she can pull off any role I give her. @XeKr To be honest, the rule as I wrote it was found in other Birthright/Conquest drafts, so that's why it's there - if all three of you want to remove/tweak it, I'm willing to bend.
  11. Changed My Castle Rule 2 to be less restrictive, but I will only allow one of each. Gradivus Carmine Sword XeKr Bandido Banderas List from random.org. Gradivus, you get to pick first brother.
  12. Well, for the sake of history, as well as to celebrate my birthday coming soon, let's create the first Revelation draft on this site! (There is one earlier thread I can find, but that never started, so this will be the first if it starts.) ¡Vamos! Drafting: 1. This draft is for 4 players 2. Corrin, Azura, Felicia/Jakob, Gunter, and Scarlet are free for all 3. The game will played on Hard Classic mode 4. Children units come with their fathers, aside from Kana, Shigure, and Dwyer, who are draftable 5. First everyone will select a male royal (Ryoma, Xander, Takumi, Leo), then a female (Hinoka, Camilla, Sakura, Elise), then the rest will be selected normally. 6. After ten rounds of drafting, any leftover units are free for all Exceptions: 1. Only the servant that joins you in chapter 2 is a free unit. The other is a draftable unit that joins in Chapter 15. The first servant may not reclass to a mounted class until the second one is obtained. 2. You have two Golden Tickets, each of which will allow you to use a nonroyal nondrafted unit for one chapter. They can both be exchanged instead for a Royal Ticket, which will allow use of one royal unit for one chapter. These become void after Chapter 26. 3. If Benny or Charlotte are drafted, Elise may be used solely for the purpose of recruiting them in Chapter 14. Rules: 1. Undrafted units may: pair up with undrafted units and trade with undrafted/drafted units (but must not be in range of a drafted unit when battling) 2. Undrafted units may not do anything not listed above, including but not limited to: pairing up with drafted units, entering batte, meatshielding, healing and supporting with drafted units, using Dragon Veins. 3. NPC units may do as they please without penalty. 4. Paralogues excluding 1 are optional and are free up to 20 turns 5. Challenge battles are banned, as are any invasion battles. 6. Use of DLC and Spotpass (including Free Content) is strictly prohibited. 7. Mozu's Paralogue must be completed before Chapter 9. My Castle Rules 1. You may build, upgrade, and use any of the following: Lilith's Temple, Armories, Rod/Staff Store, and Hot Springs. Using any other building is prohibited. This means no forging or capturing! 2. You may build and upgrade any turret for the purpose of recruiting Flora. 3. You may not trigger any conversations in my castle. 4. No accessing other people's castles. Penalties: 1. Use of an undrafted unit is a 10 turn penalty, or 15 turns if Dragon Veins are used by an undrafted unit. Units: Players/Teams: 1. Gradivus - Takumi/Kiragi, Elise, Reina, Hayato/Rhajat, Hinata/Hisame, Selena, Mozu, Kana, Second Servant, Lazlow/Soleil 2. Carmine Sword - Ryoma/Shiro, Hinoka, Kaze/Midori, Rinkah, Shura, Silas/Sophie, Charlotte, Flora, Orochi, Peri 3. XeKr - Xander/Siegbert, Camilla, Subaki/Caeldori, Oboro, Kagero, Dwyer, Arthur/Percy, Niles/Nina, Kaden/Selkie, Azama/Mitama 4. Bandido Banderas - Leo/Forrest, Sakura, Keaton/Velouria, Saizo/Asugi, Hana, Beruka, Benny/Ignatius, Fuga, Shigure, Setsuna Remainders (free for all): Effie, Nyx, Odin/Ophelia
  13. Each game in the series has its strengths and weaknesses, and it's definitely good to call out games on areas they can improve on (such as the story of Fates). While I find Awakening to be overall a better game, Fates offered several mechanical improvements, better graphics, and the castles, that are steps forward from the previous game. On the other hand, calling a series "ruined" is usually a bit of an overreaction, except in certain cases like Sonic '06. In general, people do tend to pick up flaws more easily than positives. So no, I would not consider the game "ruined". In most fanbases that I have experience with, Pokémon, Microsoft Windows, and this one obviously, the latest game tends to be the most hated, until the next game comes out and the game is vindicated. The only exception I've seen is the Smash fanbase, as Brawl is still more divisive than 4, but people were still more willing to acknowledge Brawl's strengths when 4 came out.
  14. Gunter. He's not even usable in Birthright. In Conquest he joins so late that he will be 20 stats behind everybody. In Revelation, he can't even support, will be doubled by everything in the second chapter, and won't take much of a hit in the third. He's a Jagen that sucks at being a Jagen, so he's clearly the worst, only having some Guard Stance utilitty in Conquest.
  15. I'd be willing to debate for FE13 and FE14, since they're fresh in my mind.
  16. Haven't really played all of 'em, but Birthright is the easiest one I did, the only real challenge being Lunatic Chapter 23 (and 12, if you don't cheat and use a flier to ferry the Avatar). I don't see why Awakening is voted so much - on Lunatic+, it's a contender for the hardest. (Granted, not hard for the right reasons...)
  17. Male Kana. With other boring/annoying units, I can at least tolerate their voices. Male Kana's voice is like a blade honer grinded against the pavement to me. Especially grating since Male Morgan had good voice acting, and Female Kana's isn't too bad either. Bad audio is honestly the worst sin a work can commit, aside from maybe using seizure effects.
  18. It is admittedly difficult to find a better alternative, though. Look at all the commotion getting in one Supreme Court justice - imagine if that had to be done all the time! It would weaken checks and balances, as a president could flood the Supreme Court with justices, rather than just elect one or two. We could make it easier for a justice to get in, but that would again, weaken checks and balances, and make it difficult for the minority party to get any say on the justices.
  19. ¡Buenas tardes camarada! Tengo esperanza que lo disfrutas aquí.
  20. Anna. She can "count gold" with me any time. Marrying her would allow you to live the high life!
  21. I'm from the Coal Region, an east-central area of Pennsylvania.
