I took a class on horror and science fiction in high school, even though I don't like horror (I was hoping for an emphasis on sci-fi, but unfortunately The War of the Worlds was cut for time). But it gave me an excuse to write a paper on Godzilla so it worked out. I'm starting to think Cold Steel broke your brain somehow. This is a timely question since I just unlocked my last character (Takamiya). Remembrance is at 32%, Destruction is at 50%, and Analysis is at 17%. My strategy is to play through someone's route, play a wave of Destruction, then move on to the next character's route (as such, my Remembrance completion was at 17% when I finished Area 1, when you need 30% to enter Area 2). In the case that a character's route is locked off, I skip them and move on to the next available character. As such Juro, Iori, Megumi, and Miura are far ahead of everyone else; Sekigahara and Amiguchi are locked off by Natsuno, Natsuno is locked off by Takamiya, and Hijiyama is locked off by Ogata. Since I have every character now I might focus on trying to equalize everyone's completion. Also I haven't done much customization in Destruction yet, probably because the idea of upgrading 13 different characters is overwhelming. I can't wait for Trails into Reverie!

Let me see if I understand 13 Sentinels's relationships correctly... I finished Sonic Frontiers, which is certainly the best Sonic game in the past decade. Exploring the levels was fun and I can't believe the characters are written properly now. It probably has a stronger sense of continuity than Xenoblade 3 did. Also Chao are very tangentially connected to the main plot, which is good.

Sonic Frontiers's boss fights are just like if Raiden from Metal Gear Rising was the protagonist of Shadow of the Colossus, which isn't a comparison I ever thought I'd make. No, people should write Rubenio/Sfoglia's Hat fanfics. I mean... I can't really argue. I don't really get this comparison, Marianne's depressed but she doesn't have anxiety (or at least, not in the same way Bernadetta does).

Having looked it up, I can kind of see it. I don't think not talking about the game at all is necessary, it's a nonlinear narrative about teenagers in robots who fight monsters and some other stuff that Armagon and Sooks would hunt me down for mentioning. But I am considerate of Trails spoilers, so I think that balances it out. Also, it's kind of difficult to talk about the plot in a way that "makes sense" if you don't have the game's context, which is probably another reason why some avoid discussing it.

No context 13 Sentinels The Engage stuff looks interesting, but I won't absorb any of it because I'd like to go in with minimal information. Veyle has shackles on her legs, the Kaga End is already real.

Dang, Sonic Frontiers goes hard. It turns out 13 Sentinels has branching paths, not that I know how elaborate they are. It seems you’re expected to view all of them, and the game’s nonlinear narrative probably means that it doesn’t matter what order I view them in (Iori having a flashback within a flashback was funny). Another final boss where you have to use everyone? I’m hyped. You will soon be out of Trails games to play Sooks, embrace the Xenoblade (you know, if you want).

I think “Trails Beyond Darkness” would be catchy, or “Trails Before Dawn” if that has significant symbolism. They do… or at least, the one I know about does. That’s because Nintendo wanted to give mobile players a “normal” gaming experience—but it didn’t do great and we’ve been paying for it ever since.
