My Trails research has led me to learn that Zero/Azure and Cold Steel spoil each other to some extent. What is a law abiding citizen to do? Fortunately there is an in-universe timeline, which means I can play the games concurrently to minimize spoilers! ...Of course, this means I wouldn't be able to finish Cold Steel I until after Azure releases, but it's not a perfect science. The biggest 13 Sentinels spoiler you'll ever see is-- Dangit, I was going to post this.

Mist demon? I had no idea Zabuza was in this game. Even the game itself acknowledges Kloe's greatness. ...Wait, isn't Colonel Richard's first name also Alan? It seems he sometimes goes undercover to check out girls. Most of their move animations are identical but most of their non-attack animations are different, so if anything Pyra and Mythra are a character and a half.

Byleth was the best realistic 3H character we could've gotten, obviously they weren't going to sell three characters for the price of one. It has nothing to do with swords, Sephiroth being positively received proves that. Everyone would've loved Byleth if they weren't from Fire Emblem. Usually "too many swords" is just an excuse for "character I don't like". But thanks to the Smash fanbase, we now know that Pyra and Mythra are honorary Fire Emblem characters. I'd think that would be the last series you would care about. Does it not count as anime? Actually every Fighters Pass character was decided by the higher ups, except Sora because not even those higher ups wanted to deal with Disney.

This must be what that chest meant when it said someone out there is asking Rixia to show bobs. It's all coming together... It's another reason I have to wait until the official localization releases to play Zero. I must know if the bob chest is canon. As someone who is playing Sky SC, I would assume their plan is "collect the Sept-Terrions and take over the world" or something. Hopefully we'll find out when the final Trails game releases ten years from now.

Ah, I get it now. Falcom has to save stuff for the second half of the series after all. All this time I thought C and his merry band of initialed villains were Ouroboros members, but it seems I was mistaken. Or are they members of a different mysterious organization? It would still be strange if only one Anguis showed up after ten games already. And of course I doubt the Grandmaster has appeared personally yet, unless they're Dorothy.

I can't believe that mysterious evil organization ceases to exist after two games. That's pretty weird since the first game established that Ouroboros has seven leaders. I guess the rest of the series is spent fighting the mafia. So they do have numbers then. They couldn't let the Major Arcana motif go to waste, of course. Nobody has mentioned if Crossbell introduced any new members though. ...Actually I don't know if C is an Ouroboros member or not, I just assume he is. He certainly looks like a McBurn. I take this to mean there are mostly non-Ouroboros villains (and presumably the omnipresent Bleublanc, unless enforcers from previous games show up), which is fine. I don't know, I've seen it formatted that way sometimes and I find it funny.

This post has strong Three Houses energy. I knew it. The mysterious <C> is in fact... him! Also, I have a question. Do the Ouroboros members introduced after Sky still have titles and numbers? I've been keeping track of them and it would be a shame if the tread was ditched at some point.

PoV: you are a teenage girl hanging out with Joshua I think SC has ten chapters including the prologue and final chapter, so Chapter 4 should be around the halfway point, right? I thought you were talking about Kirby here and was confused, mainly because I was wondering about which Kirby characters could qualify as "best girl". I'm sure Kirby could inspire plenty of out of context images however.

I don't know, you're familiar with Reverie's plot and are still mad, so I think Chaotic Crossbell might fit you more. Sure, you didn't spoil anything that happened too late in the game, however I recommend watching your back if you get into any spoiler heavy media. You played a funny anime game which, from what I gather, has a scene where you walk in on anime girls showering, I'm not sure if you can judge things for being "anime" anymore. Best girl? I don't see Blanc anywhere...

I finished Chapter 3 of SC (technically, as I have some sidequests to do before properly finishing the chapter), and a lot more happened than I was expecting.

I get the feeling that MOMO is too wholesome for this game. Protect her! No, it is revealed in the twentieth game that she's really the human incarnation of Trails's deity, Aidios. The mastermind turns out to be Estelle herself. Not that there's any official source for this, but I'm pretty sure he's named after Alexander the Great.

I'm not sure how I feel about Flaccid Pancake Limp Bizkit canonically being part of the Final Fantasy mythos. But American Express exists in Final Fantasy XV, even though America itself apparently doesn't, not to mention the Cup Noodle thing, so this is par the course for FF now. I wonder what other magical Olivier lines I've missed. Unfortunately I need Kloe in the party to continue her character arc (and for healing), but I'll try to give my party members equal screentime.

With a new game comes a new outfit, and with a new outfit come new challenges... I wonder how Agate reacts to this situation. Steam girl incoming, let's go! I hope she wears a mountain of hats.

A small nation caught between two superpowers? That sounds like a good premise for a game or two. When your game takes a decade to get released outside Japan I'm sure he won't be important later. But seriously, I'm impressed by how far in advance Trails sets up plotlines. I'm sure I'll be equally impressed when it takes six games for some plot threads to be resolved. I was expecting Crossbell to materialize out of existence in Zero, and I certainly wasn't expecting Osborne to be brought up this early.

Simon and Richter being the only Belmonts is fine as is; the Belmonts aren't blank slates like the Heroes are so shunting eight into one slot, with the same taunts and victory poses, would be strange. Because "Captain Falcon" is his full racing title/superhero identity, while Olimar's name is just Olimar. You wouldn't call Captain America just "America", would you? Sakurai mentioned in the context of Isabelle (on why she isn't "Shizue-san" in Japanese) that titles generally aren't included, which is why Bowser isn't called King Bowser. Dedede is just "Dedede" in Japanese and "King Dedede" elsewhere, and "King K. Rool" is referred to as such in all languages though.

Did you think spirit events were over? I did too, but randomly we're getting a new spirit for Street Fighter's 35th anniversary, Evil Ryu. The Metroid Dread spirits have also entered normal rotation, if you happened to miss them the first time.

Yesterday I learned that Zin's name was originally translated as Zane in FC and SC, but it was changed to Zin in via update in 2017. I saw his name written as Zane in guides before, so I assumed it was either a mistake or it would be revealed later that his real name was Zane and the writer had no regard for spoilers. When your friend recommends a fanfic to you I also hear the tendency for text to be larger than normal in some situations was originally a glitch during the localization process. Thankfully this was taken advantage of in the final game, like so: This is something of an inside joke, since during development it was actually "legit" that was inexplicably inflated. Mueller is a cool guy, anyone who acts as the straight man to Olivier's antics can never be boring.

Though one of the points of Asuka was to show how unpleasant a tsundere would be in real life.

That sounds gr- I mean terrible. Evangelion 3.0+1.0 has a LOT of butt shots, which got a bit annoying during serious moments.

I didn't mean to say that Gumshoe wasn't useful, because he is, just that Olivier didn't contribute to solving Estelle's mystery. Maybe Olivier is like Herlock Sholmes but without the dances of deduction. I will say, however, that Kloe was probably a more consistently helpful assistant than Maya. I didn't know you played Ace Attorney. What games have you played? Technically I left it to the hand of fate (i.e. I held down on the keyboard, closed my eyes, and eventually picked an option), though I'd like to see how the story plays out with Agate at some point. I don't like when party members are mutually exclusive so I'm glad that he'll rejoin eventually. I feel like I'm in danger... But I have Kloe so I should be fine, even if Sieg has been nerfed.
