  1. Fire Emblem fans should promote it with incomprehensible memes like Pikmin fans do, even if nobody understands them. Cold Steel IV start of Act 3: Marie: "I'm what's left. Or... maybe I'm all there ever was." Marlone: "I meant your name."
  2. Sooks dislikes this. Though I can't tell if it's official or not... What you see: chibi anime girl running for apples. What the puni sees: Out of the 267 uses of the word "teehee" in The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III, Musse says it 105 times, or 39% of teehees in the game.
  3. Being Rean is suffering. Cold Steel IV end of Act II Also I have properly completed Pikmin 2 this time (the main story at least, there's still side content I haven't done), since I went back for the last treasure I missed last week. Finally finishing a game I've had for so long makes me feel a bit empty inside... if only there could be a Pikmin 2-esque game releasing within the next few days. This is the culmination of years of training!
  4. The prophecy... (though none of the games actually took me a hundred hours to finish, oddly enough.) It was fun, though I never finished the main story (which is the first character story of 37). I don't think I evolved Eevee either... Not Nobunaga's Ambition (or Samurai Warriors) but I would like if the Figma came in different colors, but that would be a lot to ask for. Technically the white one could be either E.M.M.I.-01P or E.M.M.I.-02SM...
  5. Maybe a Koopa will lend us his, if we... persuade him. I wonder if they'll reference I.M. Meen in some way. It's not a CDi game, but it had the same animators. What if we could have a tsundere and a lady knight? Source I like how satisfied she looks, as if she's thinking "Heck yeah I'll be lucky if I get to graduate". And I'm guessing she loses credit with the teachers every day for not wearing a shirt. Yeah, they even made a Sonic Sez about it.
  6. The more things change, the more they stay the same... (Cold Steel IV Act II) Cold Steel IV's bonding events generally feel more interesting than usual. Even Laura shoving Rean against a wall and kissing him made sense in context. Though maybe I'm only okay with it because Rean and Alisa are on a break... There are also some normal US words that are slurs in the UK. Three whole Pikmin enemies got renamed in Europe as a result. And here I thought Valve wasn't going to get the update out on time... I still wish I had a computer that could play it though. I didn't think the trend of spiritual successors would result in this. I like how it's obviously CDi inspired but isn't entirely a one-to-one copy, like how the shopkeep isn't as Morshu-adjacent as they could've made him. Maybe I'll look into it when I'm a little, mmm, richer.
  7. At first I thought the title was because it's set in an earlier time period than Godzilla 1954 ("Godzilla 1"), but it probably would've been called Godzilla Zero in that case. Minus One is getting an American theatrical release on December 1st, so hopefully there will be a nearby screening so I can see it. The anime trilogy could do whatever they wanted on account of being animated (even if the prequel novels were more interesting). In terms of the Japanese live action films it's just Destroy All Monsters ("at the end of the 20th century" or 1999 in the English version) and Final Wars (20XX). I think those two are a bit more futuristic than usual, but I haven't seen them recently enough to be sure. I see, so Spain is just Three Houses. Or maybe you would call one teacher "Professor" and the rest by their names in that case.
  8. New Godzilla trailer Title is "Godzilla Minus One" and takes place in postwar Japan. Basically every other Godzilla movie took place the year/around the year it was released, so I'm interested in seeing how this one goes. Rixia's costume gives her an exclusive ability that sets enemy accuracy to 0%. Unfortunately it also sets ally accuracy to 0% as well.
  9. When I never made it past the Glutton's Kitchen when I was younger, it was because I didn't have enough space on my memory card to save my progress. That probably would've been a better idea that what I did. Though if you are using only Yellow Pikmin (since they're the only type that can consistently attack the Titan Dweevil's weapons), it would make sense to save the Shock Therapist for last because Yellow Pikmin are immune to it. The Monster Pump should be taken out first in that case, since it has infinite range. Fortunately since I claimed all of the Titan Dweevil's weapons already, I don't have to fight it again when I return to the Dream Den for the treasure I missed. Understandable, all must be inducted into the Mishy cult.
  10. I have done it. After 19 years I have finally finished Pikmin 2... except not really, because it turns out I forgot a treasure in the final dungeon. I didn't find out until after I beat the final boss and was feeling very accomplished despite the final boss killing 65 Pikmin or so. But Berwick Saga is anime... I think, I had to look up what the artstyle is. Elise will return in the final game as an S-rank bracer with the legendary title of "Rean's Sister".
  11. I can't believe Rean got broken up with in a romantic event, you hate to see it. Armagon will use a giant mech to laser every town he comes across until he finds you. Fortunately there's a method to keep him at bay, just talk about how much you love Persona 5. The reviewer said it, not me. They meant it in the sense of "this was my first Trails game and I enjoyed the experience". I knew this already but Wasn't The Doll Knight originally from the Legend of Heroes V? I can't believe Falcom was setting up Cold Steel before Trails in the Sky was even made.
  12. Buy Pikmin. Or be like me and get both. Actually no, wait for me to catch up first, if you can resist the temptation of HD Rixia. I saw I review say that it's a decent entry point, maybe recommended it to someone else here and see how it goes? She will never leave my party. There will be no Xenoblade moments here. Unless Rean returns in Kuro 3 with all eleven of his wives. There are two dozen of those at this point, surely you can't expect me to remember everything that happened in them. I am interested, I'll look into it if I see it playing on TV.
  13. I have arrived here to tell you that Pikmin 4 will be the greatest game ever made (probably) and that you should try out the demo, it's pretty fun. Sadly all of the CDi original characters are owned by Philips, not Nintendo, so instead we'd have to campaign them to make a new game starring Morshu and Harky. Philips apparently specializes in healthcare technology now, so I wonder how it would turn out... Though the king in the Zelda cartoon was also named Harkinian, so I'm not sure how much of that applies to him.
  14. Cold Steel IV start of Act II Since bonding events are now a thing again, are there any non-romantic final bonding events? Because maxing a character's bond level wouldn't mean much otherwise. Also it turns out you don't need to bring Fie to Lamare to get the second Fishing tutorial in the help menu, since you get it later when [REDACTED] joins. And here I thought it would be gone forever... You just have to watch RedLetterMedia reviews of movies they like. Like, uh... They were more positive about Godzilla: King of the Monsters than most critics, I think. And they mostly liked the Obi-Wan series, which people complained about. I doubt the developers think about the timeline enough to regret it, they'll come up with the plot first and then figure things out afterwards. They probably won't use the same Link and Zelda forever either for the same reason (it would get in the way of the devs doing whatever they want). I hear Pikmin 4 complicates the Pikmin timeline, I didn't think that was even possible.
  15. Cold Steel IV Fragments chapter Also, I appreciate how big the Character Note is at this point. There can never be too many characters... Happy wizardday, enjoy your new cosmic powers! All I know about the Gollum game is this Riki sneaky!
  16. The Harrison Ford discussion reminded me... Rean's trailer will just be him and Byleth exchanging stories about their students. I wonder who Sakurai paired Rean with? I'm guessing Musse. Which is strange, because it barely has any male characters (that aren't antagonists) for Vert to fantasize about. Memes aside, I think more people are willing to appreciate their good qualities while still acknowledging their flaws nowadays (and it gave us The Clone Wars). I'm fond of this video about politics. Fantastic Four 2005 was always good, so it doesn't need a history revision arc.
  17. I can't believe Sakurai forgot about Ys. I imagine the mechs would be the equivalent to previous games' legendary weapons, as a sort of successor to Engage's Emblems if you could choose who could pilot them and they each had unique abilities. They like her for her personality. Sort of:
  18. Teehee teehee teehee, the next Fire Emblem should have mecha. I will not elaborate further. Cold Steel IV end of Act I So that I can ask you if anything interesting happened for the choice I didn't pick, of course. Trails of Laura SC must be made a reality... I haven't, but Laura's physical damage numbers must go as high as possible. You probably learned a new S-craft and it asked if you wanted to set it as your S-break, which you probably should. I like Kingdom Hearts and all but...
  19. Tears of the Kingdom looks... different from what I was expecting. But anyway, yes I do. I see, I will hope for some Jusis missing Rean moments instead. In that case, I brought Jusis and Laura, the latter because I wanted to bring a guy and a gal and I wanted a physical attacker to contrast Jusis's arts use. And in case Duvalie shows up, I suppose.
  20. CSIV requires you to take Alisa or Jusis to the next location, but I can't take the easy way out by bringing both of them. I feel like Sooks probably brought Jusis, which makes me want to bring Alisa instead... "Ymir not very interesting, so Sooks forget he exists." -Tora, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 I was also surprised to find that Rubenio is younger than I am. Must be all that talk about Kaga.
  21. Cold Steel IV Act I-2 Obscure biology fact: this was officially translated as "Pachyderm", which is a term used to describe thick-skinned hoofed mammals like elephants, rhinos, and hippos. Those animals aren't closely related like biologists previously thought, but the term is still sometimes informally used to describe creatures with such attributes. Maybe Elephant Mario is actually a Pachyderm powerup, and Luigi will turn into a rhino or something. To be fair, when's the last time a Final Fantasy game didn't make people seethe? David Menkin is in this one, so Armagon's willing to give it some credit.
  22. Social commentary Trails's in-universe "fiction" novels got a bit lengthy at some point, so Three & Nine is the first one I've read in a while (probably not just because it's relevant to the next game). I've been reading it on Reverie's website however, and I'll look up the books I didn't read once I've caught up. This one In hindsight, you probably didn't get far enough to know that. Olivier found out the hard way. Yoshi's color depends on how many minutes pass between when his egg starts following you and when it hatches. 0-6 minutes is green, 6-9 is red, 9-12 is blue, 12-15 is orange, 15-18 is pink, 18-19 is black, and 19-20 is white, after which the cycle resets. It would get a bit silly if it went over 20 minutes, so sadly they couldn't fit yellow, light blue, and purple in there. The next game will reveal that Sara is secretly the Holy Beast of Booze. I always thought Castlevania Adol looked cool.
  23. I can't believe they included the Super Smash Bros. speculation OC in a game. I'm glad that Yoshi seems to be independently playable in a mainline Mario game for once. The talking flower amuses me more than it probably should. You didn't spoiler tag that part. I'm afraid that's not an option. I'm pretty sure there's some funny anecdote as to why you like Sara which is odd because you didn't like the other drunk, not that I remember what it is. To be fair Death is at least hundreds of years old, all humans should be children by his standards. True! I'm glad Pikmin 1 and 2 were rereleased, but it's a shame they removed Duracell... It lets you get Orange Yoshi as a partner so it's good. Though I might like Super Paper Mario more, despite the lack of Yoshi. Paper Mario predicted the future of Fire Emblem...
  24. You can only bring one old Class VII member to the next location, hmm... I think Sooks picked Fie at this point, so I'll do something different and bring Sara instead (and also, you didn't get to use her much in Act I of CSII). If sub-Master Quartz didn't exist I might've brought Elliot, but now I can use Alteeny as a healbot instead. Well you see, he isn't young or hot enough to make up for it. It's either that or spending another decade waiting for Pikmin 5, so sure. I got it, the third game could be set in Archanea 2000 years later and be called Fire Emblem Awakening...
  25. Hey it's me Lightchao42 coming at ya with a review of the weird Falcom miniseries Minna Atsumare! Falcom Gakuen. I didn't understand anything that happened, but Rixia was in it so it's a 20/10. American Ys III Genesis boxart Adol was my favorite character. Cold Steel IV Act I-1 Also something for @Armagon, the Twitter account for the next Godzilla film started counting down the live-action Japanese movies last week. It's on Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla presently, so there should be an announcement of some kind on July 11th. I predict Pikmin 4... wait, that's been confirmed already. What else is there for me to predict now?
