  1. Voted for Chad! Besides the fact that he can't promote, he's got abhorrently good growths along with an absolutely lovable personality. Scrap son for life. Honestly, though, I hold a lot of love for all the thieves- Cath and Matthew get honorable mention, as does Colm.
  2. Wil! Sunshine son all the way, both because of his nice offense and defense, his reliability as a unit, and his support conversations. as well as his backstory. Availability isn't bad, either, and gosh, I just love the guy to bits. I would've voted Wolt otherwise, but.... Stats. Growths. Wah.
  3. My personal opinion of Leonardo is actually leaning towards Virgo more than Aquarius, since his pragmatic traits seem to be more prominent than his creativity, but that might just be owed to RD's lack of characterisation. That aside, Edward as a Sagittarius fits really well! Also, Micaiah strikes me as a Cancer, as well.
  4. Pretty long story! My first encounter was probably back in 2005-6-ish, when I plyed a bit of Melee at my cousin's house. I played Kirby and Luigi. I sucked. My only opinion on the FE characters at the time was "who the heck are these guys." Then I went home, and didn't touch a Smash game for years. About four to five years ago, my friend revealed to me that she owned a copy of Brawl. Absolutely delighted at the fact that I felt like I've rediscovered part of my childhood, we played every time I went over to her house. Now, I initially mained Meta Knight, but she mained Marth, and ater a while, I shifted to Pit- Then finally shifted to Marth after realising that I was, indeed, best with the japanese sword guy. About a year later, I looked into FE as a whole, saw that Awakening was a Thing that Existed, but sadly, I didn't own a 3DS because handhelds were apparently bad for my already not great eyes. I did, however, own a Wii, but at that time, I wasn't aware of RD's existence. Then my pal got Awakening. I played on an empty save occasionally, so Awakening indirectly counts as my first FE, but I din't get too invested yet. Then, two years ago, my father went on a trip to the US. I asked him if he could get RD or PoR for me. Ater what apparently was a massive ordeal that I didn't know would happen, my dad managed to fish out a used copy at GameStop for sixty bucks. I was absolutely delighted. The game was love at first sight. Even though I died a lot and had to reset every second level. That aside, I really don't think Radiant Dawn is a good place to start out at. I had to give up on my first run because I screwed up on leveling everybody decently during part one big-time. To the point the DB would've gotted decimated by the GM once those chapters rolled around. When I finally figured out how to play FE properly, though, I got overly attached pretty quickly. Now I'm neck-deep in heck and can't get out.
  5. Gods, I have so many cases of bad unit/good character that it's really screwing me over. I'd say good unit/good character for Chad, save for the fact that he cANT PROMOTE and that really wrecks his perfomance in later chapters- He definitely hits those caps, but those caps are sadly tier one caps, and I cry on the inside every time I start the cheeseballed game. The other one is Wolt, and boy, son, you gotta step up your game, I hecking love you but I can't use you because my unpromoted Sue is better than your promoted sniper butt in every aspect. Also, Leonardo for me in particular- I know his character is pretty flat in canon, but I've gotten overly attached to what could've been and drag him along with me on every run, even though his speed is, uh, subpar. Except this run I somehow got a speed-blessed Leo, and he gets Lughnasadh which makes him. A+ in my heart. In Fates, it's gotta be Odin. He may kind-of sort-of suck, but I love his theatrics. Can't think of any others at the moment, haha. There's probably a lot more though.
  6. Personally, I'm pumped for all this- No doubt I'm going to be disappointed somehow, because I've managed to perhaps get myself too pumped, but hey, a guy can dream, right? As long as the microtransactions dont make up 65% of the actual gameplay, I think I'm going to get it, no matter how it turns out- I'm already broke enough because of Fates. Major paywalls on yet another FE would just kill me. Microtransactions like on LLSIF or Ensemble Stars wuld be fine by me, though. I'm not violently against the LP systems roundabouts. LP for grinding, perhaps? But what I'd really like to see are characters from older games. I mean, yeah, FE13/14 were huge hits and are more likely to get more included than others, but Let Me Live, I just want me old FE MVPs, regardless of their importance to their original stories? Then again, I guess waiting for more info before getting too ahead of myself might be a good idea. Wheezes.
  7. Gameplay itself is a solid eight, soundtrack is your usual quality FE material (I loved it), characters are lovable if you squint, even more so if you link the kids to their parents and that ramped up to eleven if you get overly invested and dig yourself into an eternal pit (which I did). But thieves can't promote and that irks me to no end, and Roy's harem are the only people who can get paired endings. Also, Roy's late promotion that makes him more of a liability early-game. And to a slightly minor degree, me being salty about Wolt sucking so bad even though I love him to bits. Which is, I guess, owed to FE6's not-great unit balance and my bad habit of dragging bad units with me solely because of personal reasons rather than actual gameplay. Also, the RNG is utter bullshit. Though admittedly, I think Fates was partially worse. Especially on Conquest. The gameplay is challenging but doable, which makes it great fun unless you get stuck, which then sucks, and the map design was ace, if nto a bit hard at times. I definitely enjoyed it despite the sheer amount of suffering it gave me, at least, up to the point where I learned thieves couldn't promote, hoo boy. Chad would have slayed as an assassin. I'm actually considering learning hacking solely to add assassins or rogues into the game. Forgive my thief bias. Anywho, might be lame of me to dock points because of that, but, uh, welp? And the lack of paired endings kinda broke me a lil. Where are the non-Roy endings at?
