Wow, thanks a lot! Far better and quicker to setup than the spreadsheet i made. What you're saying mirrors what i've been reading on tanks in Birthright. I'm planning to go for Blacksmith rather than Oni chieftain to retain Yato access but +DEF/-LUC makes sense. In this setup, Corrin ends up with a 60% Str growth, it's no Kagero but not too shabby. I'll have to consider it but Vantage+offense has always been so strong, guess i have no other choice than to run some tests

I agree for the defense part, looks like tanks are rare thing in Birthright. As for luck, I might be wrong, but from the informations i gathered, it only affects crit avoid and you can find a +4 luck item in the first few chapters to compensate the low base. While i agree overall -Skl isn't bad, it doesn't mesh well with this build since it's quite reliant on skill proc.

Well i haven't played Fates yet (release next friday for special edition preorders only, otherwise still one month to wait), so that's totally possible, that's partly why i ask. I red that +Mag -Res Paladin Corrin with Levin sword or Bolt Naginata was a popular choice. Since i do not like bandwagonning without testing first i was considering how to adapt it to my playstyle. I guess i'll go with a +Str then since it seems to be the safest choice, plus hammers totally fit a blacksmith :)

Thanks to you all ! Well i'd really like to, but time is the issue. Fates will be released here next friday and i've been lucky (and persistant) enough to get my hands on a special edition. I expect to play it in several setups so it should keep me busy for a few weeks/months. But in the end, i'd really like to try the older ones, if FE7 is my favorite because it was my first (plus Lynn and Hector were damn good characters), i have to admit Thracia 776 was superior both gameplaywise and storywise IMO (might even be the best FE storywise). But it was so hard i spent loooots of hours on it :) All except Radiant Dawn as i do not own a Wii. I still managed to borrow it from one of my friends so i can make one playthrough. I baught Path of radiance when it has been released, it helped a lot, but nowadays you can play it through emulators. Nice to see someone from La Réunion! If you have trouble finding FE games there, i'm willing to trade some against "bishik" or "boudin du Maïdo" :) Thanks for the welcoming

Since FE Fates will be released next week in my country, i'm doing the usual planning for my playthrough. My first playthrough will go for the Birthright route in Hard/Classic and i aim to make a male Corrin with Oni savage talent (in order to end as Blacksmith). The planned skillset for end game is Dragon fang, Hoshido Unity, Death blow, Aegis and Lancebreaker. But i have trouble choosing Boon and bane : since i heard there were a lot of high DEF units in late game i can't decide myself over those 3 possibilities : - Going all out physical with +Str - Lck and take care endgame tanks with Hammer - Going hybrid with +Mag -Lck and tickle endgame tanks with Levin sword (note that it also helps my planned Malig knight Kana) - Going with +Skl -Lck to improve skill activation I'm looking forward to your advises, thanks in advance !

Hello fellow FE addicts ! I'm a long-time Fire emblem player, i started with FE 7 and played every subsequent episode. I also had a great time with Thracia 776 thanks to the translation made by Serenes Forest community (Really thank you guys for it, even it was really brutal, it's still once one my favorite FE).
