First off.. I don't live in the USA so I don't really know the finer details of the industry there or the available schools and what's usual in your country and I think you apply the term art in a much broader sense than we do over here which makes it difficult to know if I'm even talking sense here. That being said.. I have read quite a few well-argumented opinions already, dragonlordsd's for example is one I agree with fully, so I don't actually want to add there. However there is something else I'd like to add but it needs a little background. At least, I think it does. I went to an art academy thinking I'd study photography, not thinking 'I'm going to become an artist'. I came from an environment where that was frowned upon (a career in photography was too lowly already but that didn't bother me, still, it did influence how I saw myself and I had to be 'independent', you know. That's what was expected.) After my first year I realised the choice of going to an art academy was a good choice, however, I went on to focus on autonomous work, mainly video. So I graduated as an artist and I thought 'I really need a job that I can do next to my artist career'. Tried to get a teaching degree but realised quickly how much time a part-time job would suck up and I really wanted to be able to focus on my own work. So.. I became a commercial photographer next to being an artist, or so I thought. It was more of a convenient choice back then and I rolled back into photography without a problem. I am now looking back on many years of struggling to combine the two and in the end, I have to conclude it doesn't work. Being self-employed is usually more than a full-time job and not being able to focus on my own work or having to disappoint paying clients for it has become too frustrating. I chose to quit photography. Paid, I mean. Which was not an easy choice but I wish I had made it sooner. I sincerely regret I didn't even consider the option of focussing on my art entirely and just figuring out the money issue along the way. I now see people who are younger than me doing projects to be jealous of, for sure. They chose being an artist first. I'm telling you this because I see a lot of 'keep your options open' and 'try to do two things if you can' here and frankly when it comes to art, I- personally- have found that to be very, very hard. It will not be like that for everyone and maybe you have a very different idea of what you want to do of course. My work is mostly conceptual which means I need to be able to immerse myself in a project for longer stretches of time than a few hours here and there (I'm more of a weeks with almost zero free time and not a lot of sleep-type of person.. after which I'll catch up on other things, like friends, rest, games, whatever). If you already know that's how you work then I suggest choosing carefully as I can say from experience that wanting to earn money and have a respectable career will mess with your art. Either way, I wish you good luck. ;)

I agree with being honest at least for the most part (telling him you think he's boring or annoying will likely not go too well and if he's a colleague I'd not recommend that.. might also get you into trouble at work in the long run, you never know what'll happen). Why not just tell him sorry, but you really need your lunch hour to recharge with a book, because otherwise it'll be too hard for you to continue a busy work day afterward, something like that? That would hopefully also hint towards needing that bit of time to yourself the next day, and the next..

I haven't even been able to finish my br playthrough yet due to lack of time this past year so definitely not starting a new save file for an avatar request :) I have a list of characters and their skills on my profile, if there's something you'd like to see in my castle, I can put it up for you. --well great, I keep having to do very wonky captcha verifications (both ipad and laptop) and somehow it posted twice, sorry mods but I can't delete it.

Thanks! I stumbled upon axebreaker elsewhere already (had to work hard for that one ) so I went for armored blow as I've tried to keep this save file free from aptitude etc. (just personal preference, I don't hold it against anyone). Now let's see if Felicia can stay alive and be a tiny bit useful for a few turns.. :) Let me know if I can repay the favor in any way!

Anyone in this region still playing? I've been trying to use Felicia lately but so far, she has aweful growth rates in my game and her defence is still stuck on 9. I'd love some useful skills for her like bowbreaker and shurikenbreaker. Anyone? I already have counter on her which is of course more than useless if someone ko's her in one strike.. and pavise which doesn't help all that much right now either ...or I could just give up on her and on Hisame as well (Hinata gets stuck with Felicia as I prioritized the other children) Edit - update to post above; MU is back to hoshido noble. Dark falcon was a bit to fragile for me. She does have galeforce and warp now.

Haven't been around for about a year, just started playing again. I updated my profile with a list of everyone + their skills, if there's anything you want or need, check the list and feel free to ask me to put someone on the team! Should also have MU with galeforce soon so if you'd like to recruit a dark falcon Corrin with that (eh.. do those dlc character skills stay on the recruit??) and maybe some other useful stuff, let me know. Her stats aren't awesome yet but all at 23 and up right now. Also have a Sakura with warp (same; can't promise you can recruit her with warp?! You can't buy the dlc skills after a battle, that I am pretty sure of) and Rhajat & Orochi are both witches and should have warp soon, too.

I think I have your calling card locked in my list already, so you're in my 'rounds' anyway. If I have time I tend to visit some castles more often, sometimes even more than once a day if I'm not in the mood to continue on with my chapters >.< (which, just in case someone responds with 'you can only visit once a day', ís possible if you've visited enough castles, I think it was 30?) so I can help you out with a few visits. So, how are you planning on returning the favour, huh? :P

You are so right, I figured this out a few hours ago when I thought, hm, the unequip-battle-equip didn't work.. But wait, he's also always standing there, it would be weird if he was in the mess hall as well (though stranger things happen in games usually) so I changed to Felicia. And.. Voila. Thanks ;)

Well if they're smart, they do keep up with what their fans are saying, so it wouldn't surprise me if there was someone on sf for that purpose. I think more and more companies are realizing they can't keep ignoring their user base. So here's to hoping they expand a bit on the usability of these functions. You know- I've given him the chef's hat but he refuses to show up in mess hall. Cheeky bugger. Sakura stays in the rod shop with her item shield and the armory shield always works like a charm but Jakob... It's not a big deal indeed, but it makes it hard to try and keep up with specific people, for example to create bond units, especially when you do have those 100 slots filled up. It's one of those completely overlooked things that don't really mess with the gameplay but since they added it, it would have been nice if they had given it a bit more thought. I can delete units from my logbook, so I don't see why they can't add that to the card list in the future.

Haha, same here! Especially when I'm a little distracted, visiting castles while sort of doing other things as well.. (Bad habit..)It would have been better indeed had they included some basic options. But then again, same goes for the friend list in the 3ds- I can delete someone (albeit from the menu and not while viewing a card) but sorting people somehow for instance, no. And the menu item 'friends' in fates is really bad.. It's just my friend list. I've tried them all and some have fates but most don't or they are not in my region; it would be nice if they had bothered to make it a bit more clear, no? Or skipped the people without fates.. I would have loved to be able to make a quick note on a calling card, too, so afterwards I'd know why I bookmarked them, like maybe 'nohr' or 'jade' or 'skills' or whatever. I know sometimes castles change as people start over/ use a different save file but still. And; why do we have to use the buttons to type a castle address when we have a touch screen..? ..sort of hoping the developers read my rant and spend a bit more time on these things in the next release.. :)
