  1. Ok, two problems here. One, Velouria does not pass down Wolfskin. Special classes - kitsune, wolfskin, songstress, nohr prince(ss) - are not hereditary, and the only way for a character to get them is to start their life as one. Selkie and Velouria start as their father's special class, but even if they mother Kana, Kana still starts as Nohr Princess. Second, the class that Velouria -does- pass down is Fighter, so you can still get your berserker Kana that way.
  2. Oh, I do understand why Nintendo isn't dealing with them now. The hacked skills have spread too far, even to people that don't know or understand that the skills are impossible for the characters to get. Aptitude in particular is a skill that, had I not known better, I would have grabbed the first time I saw it in a random castle. So since Nintendo did not deal with it right away and now it's not just hackers, but even innocent players running around with the skills, they can't just ban people with the skills. It would have been a decision between letting the hackers get away or banning a whole lot of undeserving players. Besides... the prevailing attitude among the playerbase is that the hackers are fine. After all, who's going to complain about the guy giving you free crap? Doesn't even matter how they got it, what matters is that you don't have to work for it yourself, right? And if some of the goods aren't completely legitimate... well, nobody really cares about that anymore. The only thing that does matter is winning, no matter what you have to do.
  3. Honestly, in my opinion those hacked castles and skills are ruining the online game. There's no point anymore in getting hard-to-get skills and putting them up to try to attract visitors for VP and BP. The hackers have it all covered. You can't even expect random visitors to wander through looking for skills. Everyone knows that the top ranked castles have anything you want, and if they don't you can just put up a skill request; a hacker can have your skill ready for you within minutes. So all of the rest of us can kiss the idea of getting the visit and battle emblems goodbye... unless, of course, we're willing to do over 3000 castle visits and battles ourselves.
  4. However, it -currently- is not possible. So yes, that was a hacker. Just like all the people that have aptitude, or Draconic Hex, or any of the other popular uniques on all of their first gen units. I love how people justify their cheating by saying something is 'technically possible'. It being possible or not still doesn't change the fact that you cheated to get it. The fact were talking about a skill that hasn't even been released in Japan, which has had the game for an extra year, makes it even more ridiculous that you're trying to justify using a hacked skill.
  5. I'm not an aptitude user. If it can't be done without using a hacking utility, I'm not going to soil my file with it. I guess then I need to wait for Benny to show up before I use Azura much more. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.
  6. Considering my MC is a +spd/-mag Samurai F!Corrin, marrying her to Azura to fix anything isn't an option, as far in as I am now. I beat the revenge of Mr. Fuga's wild ride once, I'm not wild about doing it again. I think I need to amend what I said here. I'll probably switch back to Songstress later, after she's had some time in some other classes with not awful growths to round her out. I'm trying to decide what classes to develop her through, before ending her as a songstress again with better stats than she would have developed on her own in that class. Last time I raised her up from 1-40 on songstress class alone, she capped her speed and skill on her own long before she reached the mid-30's, so I figure there's room for her to lose some growth in those areas if she were to gain some in defense and HP.
  7. That lack of durability is why I'm looking outside her innate classes. She has a ridiculously low personal HP and defense growth, with a high personal strength, skill, and Speed growth. She's the quintessential glass cannon. Given a class with a bit more HP and Defense growth, she could be an extremely powerful foot unit. But the spear master, the first class I thought of for her, is unavailable to her. So I'm looking for an alternative.
  8. What is Azura's ideal class if we don't care about keeping her a songstress? Any class she can legitimately reach is fair game, Great Lord is off limits. She has 30 levels of growth ahead of her, so I'd like to get her into a better class for her sooner than later. This is for a Revelation file, and no pairing have been set yet so all husbands are still up for grabs.
  9. The only child that has access to noble classes is Kana. Child characters will only inherit Corrin's talent class you picked on creation. All of the children have an initial class they start with. Mitama is a shrine maiden, Sophie is a cavalier, Midori is an apothecary, and so on and so forth. Kana is a nohr prince(ss), and this is the only reason (s)he has access to the class at all, since Corrin does not pass it down. If there is a particular skill you want for one of Corrin's children, you need to make sure it is the last equipped skill (s)he has when you start the child's paralogue.
  10. Well, I finally got through it. Up to the Revenge of Mr. Fuga's Wild Ride now. The pair-up of Kaze and Rinkah helped a lot, but I think the tipping point this time was when Sakura took a hit from one of the mages and survived... with one hitpoint left. I guess I just rolled slightly more favorable conditions this go.
  11. Honestly, as far as maids go, I much prefer Felicia. Flora's stats are weighted more towards strength and skill, where Felicia weighs more heavily on magic and speed, and a generous helping of luck. This makes Felicia more desirable for the staff-bot role; with a higher magic stat behind them, her heals will be that much bigger. Given a flame shuriken or Felicia's plate, she becomes a strong unit capable of both significant heals and 1-2 range magic damage. Where Felicia shines more in the magic role, Flora seems to want just the opposite; she has the growths to be more of a physical fighter... or at leaat, some of them. Her base physical growths across the board (Str, Skl, Spd, and Def) are decent, but don't really stand out. Her HP growth is bad. Left in the maid role, she would be mediocre with a dagger, and greatly eclipsed with a staff by any of the other magic users. As she lacks supports other than Corrin and Felicia (and so therefore her reclassing options are limited to a married M!Corrin's offering), it is fortunate that her class set includes Mercenary. With her underwhelming Mag growth, her other option, Sorcerer, is a good one to avoid. But given her growths, she could be a pretty good Bow Knight or Hero, given a little bit of RNG love... but I think her best option is to switch her to Dark Knight. Dark Knight does a good job of mitigating her weaknesses (Bad HP, unimpressive Def) and enhances her already decent Str.
  12. I've been trying to start a Hard/Classic file for Revelations, but it has NOT been going well. I've managed to bull my way through to Chapter 5, and have been carefully feeding my F!Corrin along the way. But when I got in to chapter 5, I found that I can NOT progress. The first two groups I'm not having problems with. I stick Corrin out there for them to suicide on, and they gladly oblige. Then I wait for the two from the right side to chase her, and kill them both in one round with Azura song assist. So far so good. Then I get to the bottom center group, and it all falls apart. The group consists of a paired couple of units with Dragonslayers, and a couple of single magic users. Corrin can survive one hit from the dragonslayer, but then one or both of the magic users comes and finishes her off. If I approach from the other side, the two magic users will come and hit Corrin and the dragonslayers will follow. I can, with Azura assistance, kill both magic users, and have just the dragonslayer left... but the damage to Corrin will require me to have Sakura close by to heal. If I don't, Corrin dies to the dragonslayers. If I do, the dragonslayers will go after one of Sakura or Azura, both of whom they can OHKO. How do I make it through this without losing anyone? It doesn't seem even possible.
  13. I can confirm that other children of Corrin's have the dragon weakness. My Rhajat from a F!Corrin+Hayato pairing on my birthright file got killed by a dragonslayer once because I wasn't paying attention.
  14. Those are captured recruitable bosses. I'd have to check to be sure, but I'm pretty sure they come with some of those skills.
  15. Both offensively and defensively, I'm learning. And yeah, I know all this is probably old lessons to you guys. But I think I'm finally starting to get it. It's only taken me countless character deaths and just as many restarts. But it just kinda hit me last night. I was on chapter 25 of conquest, and had my great lord Azura attack an enemy. It was a calculated risk; if it hit her on the 32% retaliation, she was dead. But between her and the attack stance partner, who both had 100% hits, she would kill it on her second attack. After she died, and I had to abandon the half hour to hour or so I'd already spent on the map and reset, I realized... nothing is worth risking a unit, short of the salvation of another unit guaranteed to die if you don't take the risk.
