  1. I know for a fact that I did trade items before the Branch of Fate (mostly to MU to make them most likely to remain extant). I suppose the main thing is be concerned about losing is that one Goddess Icon from the Visit tutorial.
  2. Out of pure curiosity: what if you go through the first 5 chapters on Lunatic as MCorrin, save after choosing a path, start from Branch of Fate as FCorrin, save after choosing a path, then start from Branch of Fate as MCorrin again? Will Felicia be the same? Also, iirc, changing the sex of the Corrin makes you lose any items from the Servant in addition to making them lose all stat gains? I hope that's not the case, but...
  3. OH! Thanks! I get it now. Sorry. I'm getting pretty tired and should probably sleep. Sorry again.
  4. -Again, answered. I don't think so; if you are right about the rolling being at recruitment, instead of sirmola's statement about being rolled at the start of the game, there is no indication of how class growths would be accounted for. Do either of you, by any chance, have sources? That'd be awesome.
  5. I presume it rolls for kids when the paralogue becomes available, then? I would be very curious to know how you did do that on one or two occasions. Furthermore, (and this is just my speculation) are growth rates per class rolled at the start of Lunatic? So if the numbers aren't rerolled, are the growth rates not taken into account? Or does the roll at child generation somehow generate numbers for if aptitude is on the kid? Or does it perhaps do it by adding the 10% to the class growth rates?
  6. I wrote something off topic because I was tired. Ignore or delete these two sentences.
  7. Likewise, this is my first Lunatic. However, I didn't know until ch 15 or 16 that there were fixed growths, so when I saw that in action I immediately had to investigate.
  8. I'd say it'd be odd to reroll it in the expected way, at least, because that would mean you can effectively reset the growths by resetting, just like in other modes. ALTHOUGH I've actually thought that perhaps it rerolls AFTER the next level up after it's equipped, based on how I've seen some of my character's growths do things. (e.g. level 3 Ophelia equips Aptitude, levels to 4, has the list regenerated, keeps Aptitude equipped(?), and then gets increased stat growth at level 5) I mean, anything about this is going to be difficult until we know the exact nature of the list and its generation. If a character's growth rates are used in the list generation, Aptitude may be nerfed. I don't think that's the case, because I believe my characters' growths have been better since equipping it, but it could be coincidence.
  9. So, I've been grinding a bunch in my current Lunatic playthrough, and in doing so have had the opportunity to mess around with a few things that have engaged my curiosity. What information I've gathered on Lunatic Growths by browsing this forum and others is that these Growths are determined by a semi-random list generated when a character is recruited. However, I've come across few accounts of further detail and those I have found seem speculative at best. And so I thought I'd pose a few questions to see if anyone might have answers: In the case of children, are their modified growth rates considered by the list generator in any way? How does Aptitude affect fixed growths, especially on units that acquire it from the logbook? How do classes affect fixed growths? (I know that I leveled Soleil, did a soft reset, used a Heart Seal, and got the same growths again, but I don't remember the classes.) And regarding some things I recall reading but do not know to have any veracity: Is there any kind of point system that works in conjunction with the generated list? Is list generation in some way affected by the Avatar's Boon/Bane? Maybe no one knows, but if we can even confirm that no one knows we could save someone the crawl through many searches. If we do get any answers, I'll add them to this initial post.
  10. Ah, I think I understand.Anyway, glad and proud to be the first Beruka-personality-lover here.
  11. She's a kindred spirit. When I read the supports where she's trying to learn feelings, it really struck a chord. I didn't fully understand how feelings worked until mid-sophomore year of high school, and I'm still working on ways to be able to tell how I feel at any given time. Also, forgive my ignorance as someone that's primarily used handheld consoles over TV ones, but what is the relationship between Beruka and Metal Gear?
  12. Is it bad if I've already thought out what support convos between me and my two favorites would be like? With Beruka, C level would start with something I've said to many people before: "Hey, I know I make facial expressions and laugh and all that normally, but I actually have little to no sense of emotions internally. Maybe we should compare notes?" B level would be such a discussion, most likely discussing the correlation between physiological sensations and emotional states, or perhaps me explaining what cues I use to determine what behaviors to exhibit instead. [great number of conversations on the topic before/after that one.] A level would be an "I'm glad this is working out for both of us" combined with a "We should discuss other things sometime too." And... I've never actually thought through an S-rank convo. Any relationship building I'd have with Niles, however, would probably not translate well to support conversations. See, I'm a nerd for sexuality, so nearly NOTHING sexual fazes me. At all. Support convos could not possibly contain the level of awkward that would arise from Niles trying out various lines to fluster me only to be met with "I'll pass for now, new best friend, but I'm glad you ask first/engage in healthy levels of roleplay/have a knowledge that may surpass my own. We should chat about it. Are you free now or should we make plans for later?" Then probably stuff similar to Corrin/Niles but, unlike Corrin, I talk things out more thoroughly, don't get flustered, and have no lines regarding feeling awkward about sexual topics. Because I don't. Those two are my favorites and no one will convince me either is a bad choice. (...does it say something about me that I like characters scarred by what they had to do to make money in the slums?)
  13. Great Knight Silas!Kana at A rank with Sophie would give her 3Str, 1Spd, 5Def, and 1 Mov. Not counting Class pair up boosts, either of the kids would give 1Str, 1Def, and 1Spd at A rank, and will give an additional 1Res and 1[boon]. (In the event the Boon is HP, the contents of the bracket would be Def.)
  14. No problem with the reply time. I'm just reading and grinding. Anyway, that strategy you read sounds like it's for either pair-ups or well-rounded kids. But you're mainly in Attack Stance, and well-roundedness isn't always the way to go. Taking a glance at the numbers, Silas' strong points are Str and Skl. Meanwhile, Mag, and probably more significantly, Res, are his weak points. I wouldn't worry too much about his Res, because if you're surrounded by mages you can put the Avatar on him, because the Avatar always gives at least one Res when supporting an S-Rank partner (and Sophie's Res growth before factoring in the mother is higher than his, although Kana's is the same; you may want to avoid making Res your Bane for that reason. Or if you do, make sure Def is your Boon.) In terms of children's growths, if you want to increase Str and Skl while not decreasing Res, the best options are +Skl/-Lck or +Skl/-Spd closely followed by +Str/-Spd or +Str/-Lck or +Skl/-Str However, if you wanted your Avatar to be able to pair to him at S-Rank and give him better Res and Def in a tight spot, you'd want to use +HP or +Def. If you wanted to be able to boost his offense when paired to him instead, +Skl would be best. If you wanted to make the best use of him being paired onto the Avatar, you'll want to either have a strategy where she has MASSIVE +Str or, what I personally would do, make sure she has strong Skl AND Spd, in which case I'd suggest +Spd/-Lck or +Skl/-Lck. Also, in regards to the two classes I mentioned, I think choosing Apothecary as your Talent would be best now that I've reviewed the numbers. Merchant can help him grow in HP, Str, and Def while Mechanist can give him a little more Skl and Spd growth, and a lot more Res growth (even more than as a Paladin), as well as higher caps in those stats. Sorry if it's a bit too in-depth, but I have so many spreadsheets from planning my current Revelation and I don't want to let them go unused. Addendum: Thinking on what joshcja said, +HP/-Lck or +HP/-Mag or even +HP/-Def or +HP/-Res are also good choices holistically.
  15. Well, a lot of that depends on how you're playing. Beyond the vague "what's your playstyle?" some questions that come to mind are: Do you want to optimize Sophie? Or do you want to make good pair ups? If pair ups, with Silas or the Avatar as the main unit? Also, if you want to put skills in your logbook, you'd probably want to make the class Outlaw or Apothecary, as those are the only two Silas can't get by Friendship Seals or other marriages. If you're not concerned about getting skills in the logbook, it becomes more of a playstyle-based choice.
