  1. Tate has better growth rates, as a character I'm not gonna judge Thany, but as a unit I would say Thany kinda sucks (same with Yuno)
  2. I don't mind desert because you can use flyers and mages (I love mages) to get around the decreased movement unlike Rain and Snow in FE7 (I HATE rain and snow in FE7), but typically I like desert maps, I like Living Legend, I like Scorched Sand and I like the 2 desert maps in Awakening (The Grimleal and Emmeryn) but every general opinion has it's exceptions: for my rule that desert maps are fun, the exception is Arcadia, Fog, Ambush Spawns, FE6's RNG, Desert and a Turn Limit do not mix well at all, I don't really care that the turn limit is really lenient with all the other crap I have to deal with I agree on Arcadia, the decreased movement on top of fog on top of a turn limit, on top of FE6's RNG screwing me out of one of my units making me restart the flipping chapter (at least the music is good, but I can say that about every chapter in FE6 so that really isn't much of a positive) and of course Maggie and Rose with their ambush spawns (although Rutger should easily be able to handle them, especially with his B support with Dieck [and an A support with Clarine, if I fielded Clarine in this chapter]) just makes me hate Arcadia so dang much
  3. FE6: Probably Lance and Alen FE7: Hector and Oswin FE8: Ephraim and Gerik
  4. In Hector mode, Nino is dangerously close to Ursula, and if the monk gets a lucky crit, even with Swordreavers the enemies only have about a 50 hit chance on Jaffar, and Jaffar will attack on his turn, Nino will not FE6: Arcadia and The Bishop's Teachings FE7: (Not Counting the Prologue) Pale Flower of Darkness and The Distant Plains FE8: Phantom Ship and Victims of War I agree that FE8 at least didn't have a lot of bad chapters I agree, at least Cecilia is somewhat useful as a spare healer (especially with me not bringing Clarine) Village of Silence is the one you mentioned at the end, what reset trick are you talking about for Arcadia? I like the Gaiden Chapters for whatever reason Good explanation! But you can completely avoid it by using Tate instead of Sue or Shin (Be honest, who uses Thany/Shanna?) Really? You haven't been able to beat FE6 because of Arcadia? Have you beat FE5 before? Because FE5 is harder than FE6 from what I know I have a problem with Hero of the Western Isles because whenever I seize it freezes my game, I dunno what's up with that, but ya (Still better than a lot of other chapters *Cough* any fog chapter *cough* I agree As long as you move fast and don't let too many of the eggs hatch, it isn't a big deal I like Scorched Sand, Arcadia with it's desert, fog and turn limit makes me want to play somewhat slow (Desert and Fog) but I need to rush to get Forblaze
  5. Go in expecting to restart, a lot. This will make FE6 less frustrating if you go into each chapter expecting to restart and make it all the more surprising when you don't have to
  6. No, you misunderstood, Arcadia's the only chapter I bring Chad, Astol AND Cath, otherwise it's Astol or Chad and Astol
  7. Ya, but I would consider Retaking the Capital to be more of a late mid-game chapter than a late game chapter
  8. ARCADIA CAN GO DIE IN A HOLE (Seriously, Arcadia is the only map I EVER bring Astol, Chad and Cath to, not counting Real Enemy since that's when you recruit Cath and I need to bring Chad to get Ray if I'm not using Lugh, also Arcadia is the reason I use Tate and Miledy as opposed to using just Miledy like how I would normally in FE7 use just Florina or in FE8 just use Tana) For the most part, Nino is a bigger concern than Jaffar, at least until Jaffar runs out of his Killing Edge, but by that time he's killed most of the enemies around him and you have your units up there. All but your main lord (and thieves) should be classed up by now, so you should be able to rush a bit, especially with units like Oswin, Sain, Kent and Hector (if this is Eliwood's story and you decided to be smart and class Hector up before Lyn) I like Battle Before Dawn as fog maps go I like Battle Before Dawn as fog maps go, honestly the thing with that is that there's so much to do, all in 15 turns, there are 4 chests to get, there are 2 characters to talk to and there's one character to defend, all well being hidden by fog, meaning that you can't see what's coming next, but if your units are high enough level at this point, you should be able to rush, which you kind of have to do I like Sands of Time and Talons Alight, and as fog maps go, there's only one in FE7 that's better than Battle Before Dawn for me (A Glimpse in Time) Strategy for that map, deal with Halberd, have Seth rush boss And a turn limit for the Gaiden chapter
  9. Out of the GBA FEs the only desert map I don't like is Arcadia, Scorched Sand is pretty good, same with Victory or Death, but the enemy turns on Cog of Destiny are way too long
  10. I would say FE7 even though I technically played Awakening first (Well, the demo) but FE7 was my first full FE and wow, it's my favourite, shocking :P
  11. Enemy turns are too long on that for me Enemy turns too long In Normal Mode it is impossible to lose this map, but I would rather have nothing happen than desert, fog and a turn limit It's A Trap! Anyway, I like that one Eh... I AGREE STRONGLY I AGREE STRONGLY ABOUT ARCADIA Last Hope is easily the hardest chapter in FE8, without that stupid fog it would be way easier
  12. I asked for the best, now I want the worst I'd have to say Binding Blade's Arcadia
  13. So, Light because Ruins and Tower in FE8 don't exactly count Ghost of Bern for me is overshadowed by the chapter before and the chapter after I don't like Cog of Destiny because INSANELY LONG ENEMY TURNS I love Genesis, I hate Pale Flower of Darkness Rescue Mission is for me overshadowed by the previous chapter (not counting 12x) but is way better than flipping Arcadia INSANELY LONG ENEMY TURNS DETER ME FROM ENJOYING, but Victory or Death is pretty fun I don't like fog, but Battle Before Dawn is my favourite fog chapter in Eliwood mode and second favourite Fog Chapter in FE& (To A Glimpse in Time)
  14. Sword of Seals isn't the best or worst (*cough* Arcadia *cough*)
  15. That one is pretty good That one is my second favourite Nice Joke about Battle Before Dawn :P The chapter you fight Zephiel is The Neverending Dream and is my second favourite I like Father and Son and The True Enemy, Last Hope not so much Too much Cavaliers tho
  16. Hey Guys, I just wanted to know what your favourite GBA FE Chapter is, mine is Light from FE7 :)
