  1. If you need to be promoted to be passable, I personally think it isn't worth it Please explain to me how Lugh is the absolute best unit in the game, he can't take physical hits, he can't Nosferatu tank, and is fairly easily able to get Magic screwed I'm not saying Lugh is a bad unit, but better than Lance, Allen, Deke, Rutger and Miledy? I think not Cecilia is pretty bad, but to be honest, she isn't as bad as some other prepromotes imo (Juno, for instance) Please explain to me why I should subject myself to hoping Gonzales hits to train him in the midgame just for the last 4-5 chapters of the game, over Geese who will hit more reliably than Gonzales or one of the fighters who I've had since Chapter 2 He has low hit rates, even with the Iron and Killer Axes and weapon triangle, any sword user will destroy him (okay, to be fair, any sword user will destroy any axe-user that is not using a Swordreaver) and it doesn't help that if you mess up it's easy for him to suicide on your units when trying to recruit him and that he comes with the worst weapon in the game
  2. I'm pretty sure no damage is 1 EXP as well, and good luck getting Wendy to do damage to Legance. Unless I'm remembering incorrectly and it's only misses that causes you to get 1 EXP He's fast, but if he never hits anything why does it matter? I generally favour skill when selecting an axe user, therefore Geese>Gonzales by that virtue How? He has lower weapon ranks and the same bases being 6 levels higher The only reason to early promote Gonzales is that +5 Skill to help him hit stuff Poor Skill is generally not an issue I agree, for example, Lilina has terrible Skill, but she can hit stuff because Anima magic is in general pretty accurate and her supports help her with that, specifically with Roy. Gonzales' supports don't help him hit with the least accurate weapon type in the game. This is why I don't like axes in general, they have too much difficulty hitting and axe users tend to have low Skill, which makes me want to bench them ASAP. Geese's Skill is decent, with 4 more base Skill and twice the growth in that stat
  3. So you spend several hundred getting 1 EXP per turn with Wendy against Legance? Boss abusing Legance with Lilina is somewhat viable since she's a Mage and can actually do damage, but at base he one shots her with the Javelin, meaning that you must keep his Silver Lance equipped and get Lilina out of there, not to mention he doubles her and at base even she doesn't do a ton to him because her base Magic is low and Legance has decent Resistance on top of a throne which I believe gives 3 more Resistance, it's also a lot easier to level Lilina against other things as she has a more reliable ranged option than Wendy, a stupidly fast support with Roy, hits Resistance instead of Defense and can double 0 AS Soldiers and Knights, which there are quite a few of (specifically Soldiers) especially once all the reinforcements come in He'll need ONE Secret Book? He basically calls a monopoly on Secret Books. Also Geese as a Berserker and Garret can move through Peaks, but why would you want a foot unit that can move through Peaks at one square per turn when you have Flyers that can rescue more people, can move again after rescuing and can move through Peaks at anywhere between 7 and 10 squares per turn? On the point of Wendy, yes, she joins too underleveled at a bad time in the game alongside another Knight who can actually do something and way later than another Knight who has had chapters filled with Lances and Soldiers that he can train off of, but why use a General in FE6 over a Paladin, Wyvern Lord, Hero or literally any other class? Lilina and Echidna are the only two of those that I could see myself using, I typically do use Lilina already, but I have better people to give that B support with Lilina to, specifically Ogier if I decide to use him or Astore and when you have Geese who hits way more reliably than Gonzales, especially as a Berserker, what reason do I have to use Gonzales?
  4. Because it's too much work to not be lazy Why do the Daleks want to kill everything else?
  5. I guess, Robin kinda becomes a regent for Morgan until Morgan can take the throne and Chrom and Lissa are completely discounted unless Robin and Morgan die without either producing another heir
  6. Chrom may only have one kid, Lucina as well, which presumably would put Lucina in line for Exalt of Ylisse after Chrom rather than Lissa. This also implies then that Ephraim is slightly older than Eirika. IIRC Ephraim and Eirika are twins meaning that Ephraim is either slightly older or that in Renais, favour is given to males for succession. Innes also took over after Hayden died as opposed to Tana taking over, which means the same thing for Frelia. I believe Joshua was the only child of Ismaire, therefore putting him in line for the throne of Jehanna. Presumably Mansel doesn't have children, but he had a sibling, because L'Arachel is his niece, Mansel's sibling is dead by the time of Sacred Stones putting L'Arachel in line for the throne. Ephraim probably became King of Grado after Sacred Stones as Renais ultimately won that war. Another example is Macedon in FE1 and FE3, Michalis, the eldest of the royal children of Macedon came first, then Minerva, then Maria.
  7. So, you're telling me that I can use healers on enemy phase? Or it's not worth it to save the use of a healer to attack or heal someone else?
  8. Because I didn't want to and didn't have a stupid question to ask How dare you question me?
  9. So for example, Ephraim became the King of Renais not when Fado died, but when Orson died and you retook Castle Renais? Or Elincia became Queen of Crimea when Ashnard died and not when Ramon died? If that's the case, I completely agree with you except about succession when your Royal Family isn't overthrown, in which case I'd imagine it's either firstborn male child like it was in medieval times.
  10. I've been here for about a year now, which brings into question why I didn't do one of these sooner lol
  11. Okay, I'm not gonna sit her and defend Eclipse, it will rarely ever hit and the only thing it's useful for is breaking down walls (especially in FE6 where it knocks it down to 1 HP and walls have 100 HP) Fenrir is useful if you just need that little bit of extra damage but shouldn't be used for enemy phase if your unit is in range of a lot of enemies, Nosferatu heals you whenever it hits, and most enemies that aren't Magic users have basically no Resistance and so not dodging isn't as much an issue as you will heal yourself upon hitting and against Magic users, you won't take a lot of damage as Magic users have high Resistance. Luna is useful against certain bosses, such as Lyon
  12. Except that enemies in Sacred Stones rarely have good stats and so losing some Speed isn't huge if you've actually trained up the unit. And are you just going to ignore that most weapons are unchanged from FE7 to FE8?
  13. Because I didn't feel like it. I was also too busy playing Fire Emblem, Zelda, Mario and basically any game that I like. I'm a Nintendo person though so ya. Hello
  14. What part of this makes you think you wouldn't be considered a fan?
  15. In the early game, you need to pay attention to the Weapon Triangle, more solely for the hit bonus, but by the end, the Weapon Triangle barely matters anymore
  16. I think Ephraim became king after you retake Castle Renais in Chapter 16
  17. Do you know if something like that happens in FE7 with Eliwood or Hector depending on which mode you're playing?
