  1. There are capturable ninjas with lunge and samurais with lunge and armored blow in Conquest 10L. I've also seen enemies with miracle and other off-class skills on in that chapter.
  2. 6. In Revelations you end up with males on one side (Hoshido or Nohr) incompatible to females on the other side. Or kick the corrinsexuality away alltogether. Both Scarlet and Reina join during storyline, so there's no reason to keep them Corrinsexuals (maybe Reina, since she's somewhat older, but she would definitively get along with Niles, and Gunter woudn't look so creepy as her husband). If Flora joined you after the Ice tribe chapter, she could be another non-corrinsexual character (like if you save all five houses, you get Flora at that moment, saving three, you get her along with Jakob/Felicia later on, and at any other time, at My Castle like it's done now). Ashura should be un-corrinsexualized as well, since he appears in all routes no matter what.
  3. What about an axe called "Unfateful End" for Arthur? It would be meant to be the end for his enemies and he isn't the luckiest character around.
  4. Hinata's katana actually doubles its might even for the supporting unit when attacking, so there's a chance skills do that as well. However, their bonuses would be applied before halving the damage.
  5. Yes, that's the usual way to get OP units.
  6. One thing that matter here is that you can get it without hacking. Once you beat a hacker castle, you get to choose one of his/her skills, but you can only access legit ones. After getting a skill or recruiting the character, you can, however, get non-legit skills that were imbued into him just by talking to your castle warden (Felicia/Jakob by default). That way a hack could spread to legit players, since they would have used only ingame gimmicks (I'm able to buy it for my avatar since I bought Quixotic from a player that had it). If those skills were unbuyable from your warden, hackers would be easier to spot, but right now, it's impossible to see who have hacked their game and who haven't. Maybe DLC skills can be received this way as well. I'll check it out when I encounter someone taht has it, but if anyone can give feedback about this before, it'd be most appreciated.
  7. Takumi's sword (visits reward) won't kill anyone with more than 1HP, so you may want to check if you want to use it to weaken the bosses. As long as you don't double hit them, you may have them ready to join the prisoners.
  8. I agree with this. Skills actually may prove more important than stats. Maybe you should do some castles to get some powerful ones. There are actually many people with "open castles" with powerful characters left weaponless, thus harmless, and a free route to the throne, making it easier to take it and get the skills or, alternatively, the characters themselves, with may fill your ranks as disposable but powerful units.
  9. I just got my first bond unit. It resembled the other players avatar, but with the tatto on his face. His starting class was my (or the other one's) secondary, mercenary. I'm not sure since the third accesible class was samurai, so I don't know if it was because of being both classes the same, thus giving the alternative, or it was the other player's own alternative class. His personal skill wasn't a lucky one: Magic+2. Not very useful on a physical class.
  10. I have captured and convinced five regulars so far: samurai, dark mage, Nohrian lancer, sky knight and priestess. I've not used them yet though.
  11. I'm doing Hoshido lunatic, and by chapter 9 most of my units had reached level 10+ (the ones I use at least, Hayato, Mozume and Setsuna came really underleveled and Felicia comes prepromoted, so I won't take her into account). With the dual strike/guard (and a couple of skills I came by through streetpass) I don't really need to promote my units right now, so I'll wait patiently to level 20. I may as well reclass some of my units to get more skills from their alternate classes (it's just two levels anyway).
  12. Now I'm playing Birthright lunatic, and I used dual strikes and area skills to get rid of a row of paired up characters there were three of them. Even if your support unit attack won't land on the target, he'll get weapon exp (good to build ranks), and your lead unit still gets some bonuses. After the enemy's units were reduced to one, I'd use the second unit to deliver the finishing blow on that one. It helps a lot in lunatic as well. Clustering your units can make you deal tons of damage to surrounding foes, and pairing up can allow you to break choke points with otherwise uneffective units and less need of healers.
  13. I think that all the female royals should have unique weapons that bonded to Azura's lance just like teh men's do with Corrin's sword. They'd be chosen by the weapons just like Corrin was chosen by the Yatogami (and the other royal sibling by their regular weapons). I think Camilla should recieve an axe with a parallel effect to that of Leo's weapon, Hinoka a lance that negates weaknesses, Elise a tome that would give her a healing area (like the skill Amaterasu, but with different range and or value) and Sakura a magic yumi/spell that'd grant her a buffing area effect (like the skill Strategist but with different effects/range, or maybe just increasing her own skill range).
  14. You can buy them from Spotpass teams you beat (alternatively to recruiting a character) or from the logbook (you can get more characters to appear there, not just the avatar/Corrin). This way you can get skills from classes you wouldn't be able to access otherwise, because all the characters that can pass it on are already paired.
  15. If you buddy Berka to Camilla, you can still buddy Camilla to someone else, so it wouldn't be wasting Camilla. What you can't do, is buddying "Corina" (female Corrin). The only way to pass Corrin's class is via marriage.
  16. And in revelations you get to use green units with the neutral (IK only) enemies wearing black.
  17. What if Corrin amiibo unlocks the same gender Kana allowing the twins? I think that would be interesting (one of them should be renamed though). And what if the European version didn't cut the special clothing (swimming suits and all). I mean, they were in the game beforehand. Or at least they could have made other class costumes to be buyable, like getting Corrin to be a hero with the Nohr prince look (or priest look, just for laughs).
  18. You could adjust the levels to the growths, like, if you need more speed, change to Samurai right at level 10, but if you need higher defense or strength, stay as a Nohr Princess longer.
  19. I'm having an easier time since my 3DS is an american one, which I got for Awakening (special edition console). It didn't bother me much since I didn't have one yet and it cost me even less than a regular first hand console here (with shipping and all). Later on I got an European second hand 3DS, which has saved me tons of cash in preused games (if I'd had to buy them either electronically or get them shipped from abroad, I'd have spent way more money). However, I already have the game downloaded and I'm waiting for the release.
  20. Speed also increased your evasion. Assuming it does the same here, reducing your double-striking ability doesn't decrease your evasion. That's the reason why now faire skills don't affect strength or magic. In Awakening you could increase staves range and power by equipping the right weapon, in Fates it only affects the damage.
  21. In order to get all the skills she want, she'd need three heart seals and the greatlord seal (whetever its name is). I'd do it like this:Nohr Princess (to level 10 at least)-> Samurai (with at least two level ups)-> Greatlord (instead of promoting until level 35, equivalent to 20/15)-> Swordmaster (to get the skills, lvl to 20/17)-> Hoshido Noble (Final class)
  22. Some characters actually do have special designs for not base classes (Odin being one of them with his samurai/swordmaster classes).
  23. I was wondering if, once you download an alternate path, you get its intro movie as well. I mean, if I get a Birthright copy and then I download the Conquest route, will I be able to set the Conquest intro to work in the game or I'll be locked to the Birthright one? Has anyone checked this?
  24. I don't think you'd have two additional classes to parallel seal any more in awakening, like Chrom gets cavalier but not archer as his secondary class and Virion would get wyvern rider as his second (it makes more sense than mage, since wyverns are native to his homeland but I never found how being a mage would benefit him). With the A+ support they'd be able to get their third class set, and if married, a fourth one. That'd make the game more balanced, like what they've done in Fates. Either that or getting way too many classes for every character. For example, Stahl marrying Cordelia and buddying Kellam could end up with nine classes (cavalier, archer and myrmidon of his own, knight, priest and thief from Kellam, and mercenary, dark mage and, probably, fighter from Cordelia). The same for every other character, not to mention those that marry the avatar, getting all the classes. People were saying that the avatar's kids were broken, just to make everybody else broken as well. With limited class grabbing, one could foresee Sully bonding with Sumia and Panne with Cordelia in every game to grab the galeforce and Lonqu and Ricken befriending Gregor to learn armsthrift. Because Gregor is good teacher, yes? Like what I said, too broken, and too predictable too. Classes should be limited to two natural (three for the antisocial characters with no supports) and two acquired.
