  1. No, I don't think they are better than easier characters. I just like using them for the coolness factor. Personally for me, I prefer swordmaster criticals and Spellcasting to Paladins attacking. Jeigans aren't my cup of tea I guess, they are a must for the hardest modes, but I find playing Normal with lower-tier characters more fun since you can use anyone you want compared to blazing through the hardest mode with prepromotes since your playstyle options are more limited. Different people like different things, some people like using Fredrick in The Computer is a Cheating Bastard- The Game, but I prefer the more reasonable challenge of no Frederick Hard mode since I can use whoever I like. I enjoy the experience of watching my weaklings grow up and hold their own and start ORKOing.
  2. One of my favorite goals in an FE game is to raise some characters who don't do very well and raise them to become as powerful as they can. My favorite wimpy duo that I made powerful (On Radiant Dawn NM) are Sanaki and Micaiah. Anyone who has played Radiant Dawn is likely frustrated that these two mages are forced for the endgame, and I thought if I had to use them, might as well put them to work. My Micaiah really grew on Chapter 1-6-2. I always saw the potential of those horses for Thanibombing, and tried out a risky and absurd idea. Miccy had resolve, biorhythm at max, hid in one of the thickets above the bridge next to the left, and Sothe was 3 spaces away. Even with all these precautions, the horses were at about 30% or so displayed hit. It was a big risk, but Miccy ended up destroying about 10-12 horses on this map, and gained 4-5 levels. Miccy did well for the rest of part 1 and was at level 20, mostly from CEXP and the RNG blessed me with speed and def. Around the beginning of part 4 she was Level 6 light sage (but blessed with WTF capped 15 def and 21 speed??? I would have rather won the lottery) and had to play some catch up again. Same strategy as 1-6-2 for 4-P. Thicket, Sothe, and Paragon instead of Resolve with about the same 30% or so displayed hit at 2RKO. Miccy gains 10 or 11 levels and the rest is BEXP'd to cap everything at tier 2 and ended up using my lifetime allocation of luck because my Chrom and Avatar love getting 1 stat and empty level ups. Sanaki starts terribly, so I feed her a speed wing and an energy drop. She also got the blossom skill and 99 BEXP, which apparently raises her total growth rates to about 585%. She ends up playing carefully on the bottom right side with her loyal pegasi nearby should she need help. and she gets blessed with 2 perfect level ups and a third level up that procced all but def/skl. Sanaki got Resolve and Arms Scroll on light magic for the desert and solo'd the middle, burning through most of Arcthunder and Nosferatu and destroying all those 1-2 attackers that used to give my Haar and Skrimir a hard time when the bishop forced naptime. She cleared the middle in a few LONG enemy phases before the black knight even made it and laughed off the sleep staffs. Nosferatu, and resolve/flare procs were my savior here, as well as her rising avoid. I notice that Lekain the douche is still at the bottom and send Sanaki to attack him praying for Flare since crt was 0. I killed him with a critical Cymbeline anyway thanks to resolve, gaining 80 exp to reach level 13 and further went into luck debt with Anna. Sanaki went on to have 34 AS with Rexflame and did very well in Endgame. At the same time Resolve! 20/20 Miccy got to Stefan on his own, and got the laguz gem after Sanaki cleaned up the boss area. Miccy Sue capped everything at 20/20/18, starting from leveling up from those Generals in 4-E-1 with paragon and getting a few all-important speed level-ups. Miccy Sue also showed me my first ever empty level up in RD when she was done capping everything. Both Sanaki and Miccy pulled of plenty off ORKOs in the tower Also on the same play through I was so sick of Boyd, who I loved using in POR, being slower than a two-legged dog so he got an HP/str/skl/spd transfer, his first 2 level ups were rigged to give speed AND he got the speedwing that Haar brought over. Basically Boyd got a +6 to base speed in 2 levels up to 24 speed, only 3 from his tier 2 cap. This just made him absurdly broken and he hit like the Black Knight and dodged like Mia. I was just happy that he doubled instead of getting doubled. How did you make a powerhouse out of a wimp, and how did it work out?
  3. if only u could keep the badass level 17 Warrior that was protecting the bridge T_T i guess ill have to rely on the daein army, right now im playing3-13, and i came up with the nice idea of using jill and fiona to ferry lazy allied daein units out of the safe zone. the daein army is kicking ass now that the level 12 Lance general is actually doing something, and each side is also bolstered by a fire sage as well as a pair of halberdiers... i wish i could actually have USEABLE men rather than just crowning tauroneo and giving beastfoe Edit: wow my strategy kicked ass, the only yellow unit left in the safe zone was the bishop with physic, and everyone else the the partner daein army is pure pwnage
  4. maybe one of my mistakes is using master seals, promotion bonuses are +1 for first to second tier rather than +2 and even +3 for relevant stats for a second to third tier, and also they level up more slowly. however to save experience points, ive considered using the master seal when they are naturally 20 to save a level of BEXP or CEXP
  5. oh ok i usually pass paragon to the much more skilled and hardcore greil mercenaries so forget about them then. i remember the first playthrough i was in 3-13 i was like gonna shit myself when shinon and gatrie appeared and mia and titania and i was like OMG its almost over. in part three i hate how i rely on the daein army partner units way too much but i guess they are hopeless
  6. actually when i train her even without a wing she has awesome avoid in the bushes and can 2RKO many enemies i make sure she has paragon in that level too not out of favoritism but because itll go to waste considering she is the only one who can gain exp
  7. i see people writing about their kickass nolan or edward, but really all the Daein soldiers seem to suck, to usually win in the BEXP turn limits i have to use the ubercrutches u get like nailah and BK and tauroneo. i just cant ever seem to get them good in battle or ever even come close. in part 3 they never double against laguz and are greately outclassed and underleveled. even my Jill who had a Str/Spd/Skl/Def transfer has huge trouble in part 3. how do u guys make them even decent, let alone make some tier 3 and ORKOing???
  8. haha i love kurthnaga too and i save most stat boosters for him and bexp to 30 and satori sign and paragon and blossom... he dominates :) and boots also help i always make him a "true" royal for the last two battles (but he usually still has only A strike) but all stats capped . he also dominates in the first two battles. no enemy phase action in the dragon level makes me sad actually, rather than happy to exploit him

WHAT THE HELL??? i could have sworn i did it on medium but as i am transfering the file right now it's saying Epilogue: Hard mode... i feel... so good for clearing hard for the first time without knowing... and so RETARDED for picking hard without even knowing... well at least i think i know the real problem now... i epically fail O_O

  11. oh thank you so much, i barely got a few to 20/20 and dodge abused ike to his final level barely with a final soldier. oh well at least i got the key ones i needed, like jill to help part one with str skl spd def and for part two elincia str spd mag and marcia str spd def res and the godly haar with a spd skl str and neph with str skl spd and part three got ike in like everything but mag and res and my boyd and soren (who were much weakened in RD :( ) skill and speed and offence (and in this playthrough my soren was insane and faster than mia and everyone else the whole time, like at 24 speed only at level 3 Sage :P WITHOUT resets :D boyd also got HP and soren got res and Mia is gonna start with a boost to str and def and i think the boost to skl and spd will make her start MAXED OUT!!! :) so now her str can go up EZ with bexp and then giffca str for the end duh :P well thanks guys im happy with the few transfers i got and the couple tips (dodge abuse thank you for wasting 5 years of my life :P) helped max out a few i didnt know u could do pacifist runs on those levels, i just thought it was for the one level with muarim (MY GUYS WOULDNT STOP GETTING CRITICALS ARGHHHHHHHHHHH) i hate how slim weapons give a +5 to crit (wanted to damage pepl so they move out of the way) well i got my favorite characters in PoR that needed a bit of a help in the next game a bit of a boost :) too bad i had to give up on titania and oscar, and tanith since taniths STR actually goes up in RD Thanks a lot :)
  12. is there anything i can do in the last 2 levels of PoR other than fight ashnard for hours for 1 exp per battle? (unless he gives more) i have only about 9 transfers on medium mode and good ones like Marcia Str/Skl/spd/def and haar str skl spd and jill str skl spd and boyd hp skl str spd, nephenee skl and spd basically making a lot of meh people in RD better... but many are 15-17 it seems i overestimated the exp pool... on MEDIUM difficulty :( in all the defend for X turns chapter i ended up routing the enemy even still but im up short of EXP, must i start over? i can post specifics on my characters if i must but i did originally then my computer acted up and i dont want to type it all again i even played fast and did my best to maximise bexp and i prefer to not start anew. Please tell me anything that will help level my characters, in the last 2 missions of PoR for my tranfers (any kind of abuse) i already knw im gonna staff elincia to 20 and soren is already maxed but the other i dont know what to do please tell me. i wish my RD took easy mode DAMMIT!!!
