  1. Well I figured I should provide as much detail as I could to narrow it down. Anyways as for ZSNES it looks like both downloads that I've tried were 1.51 and SNES9X is 1.53 By headered what do you mean?
  2. I said in my post I tried a completely unpatched rom.
  3. I recently played FE4 and it quickly became my favorite game in the series. So I figured I'd try replaying with different pairings, and while I'm at it why not use that Shin patch to mix it up? Well I cannot get it to work, at all. I've tried applying the patch to roms with the new translation patch, I tried applying to roms with the old translation patch, I've tried applying to completely clean roms with no patches to speak of. All of these roms worked before being patched but not after, every time I get a message from ZSNES saying something like "Checksum: Fail, Bad Rom" I've tried playing the rom with SNES9X and ZSNES I even redownloaded both in case I had super out of date versions and that was the problem. I've had someone try applying the patch for me and they couldn't get it to work either so unless we're both dumb it's not something super obvious that I'm going to feel stupid for not realizing later. And I can't even try finding a pre-patched rom since every search result is either for this thread or the new english patch. Basically the only thing I've not tried is a previous version but it doesn't look like there are any links to one. So basically I'm just really frustrated and so I come to ask if anyone else has had these difficulties and if anyone knows what I can do to make this patch work.
  4. Well I don't think it would be entirely necessary to use all the lords from the series. I'm sure if they did pull characters from all the games the only lords we'd probably get are the ones everyone knows from Smash and then a bunch of misc party members from all the other games. Personally the main reason I want Fire Emblem Warriors is to see the villains they'd bring in. Garon bores me as a character but I can imagine him being fun to play as in a Warriors game and I'd love to play as Lyon or Alvis.
  5. Crap! I forgot to mention those when I mentioned my favorites everyone hates. I love those games but I've heard so many people complain about how awful they are and I've heard only one legitimate criticism. I've heard people talk about how bad the stories are... this was before gen 5 so is this really a critique you can only throw at the Gamecube games? I've heard people complain that there's no variety because all the battles are double battles... There wasn't a whole lot of variety in battle types before this since there's like five double battles in the game that introduced the mechanic, of course they probably wanted a game to emphasize this thing they just introduced. And the last and only complaint I can admit to is the game reuses the Pokemon stadium models for generation 1 and 2 Pokemon and it clashes with the gen 3 Pokemon. I don't really think it clashes but I can see how it would be jarring for others so I'll grant that one. Also on Twilight Princess the game was certainly popular when it first came out but these days I can't tell you how many people dismiss it as being a shameless OoT rip off because the first three dungeons where homages to OoT (I mean Twilight Princess is a much better game than OoT anyway but that's neither here nor there) and people complain about the spinner saying it's a garbage item. Which really my only problem with the spinner is you've got one dungeon that makes really good use of it and then it's never important again and that sucks. Oh well, at least the spinner is just as fun in Hyrule Warriors.
  6. I saw that the other night. I've had my own idea on what to do with Fates' story but his does more to fit with the general point of Fates, mine kinda removes the whole choice narrative. So that's my take on how I'd fix Fates. Curious to see what others think of my idea and what others people here would have to fix Fates.
  7. Normal: Porygon-Z Fire: Alolan Marowak Water: Mareanie (it's adorable) Grass: Serperior Electric: Cosplay Pikachu Belle? Does that count? Ice: Kyurem Psychic: Latias Dragon: Latias Dark: Greninja Fairy: Either Floette or Mimikyu Fighting: Cobalion Ground: Zygarde 10% Rock: Nihilego Bug: Beedril (it was my first shiny so sentimental value and all that) Ghost: Banette Poison: Nihilego Flying: Swellow Steel: Cobalion
  8. I would say my favorite evil team is Plasma but mostly because of N and Colress. Though since they're not really evil I can't really count them. So I'd say Cipher from Colosseum and Gale of Darkness. I loved the idea of the Shadow Pokemon, some of the characters from Cipher were really memorable and I mean, they not only managed to get their hands on Lugia but turn it into an "unpurifiable" Shadow Pokemon as well so they kinda got stuff done.
  9. Wyvern Riders all the way. I like Pegasus Knights as much as anyone else but unless we're talking about Marcia I'd much rather use a Wyvern Rider.
  10. I hate Mercenaries and Heroes Nyx is my favorite character even if she wasn't well developed Tokyo Mirage Sessions (or as I call it Persona Emblem) is underrated. Conquest should have been the only route in Fates and the extra money should have been used to refine the story and certain maps (looking right at you chapter 24) I don't want child units in the next FE Eliwood is among my favorite lords So is Chrom I'd like to see dismounting return so long as it's not just a nerf for mounted units and something interesting is done with it Units should gain stat increases and decreases based on pair up partners in modern FE I like Assassins more than Swordmasters
  11. Someone beat me to it. Uh, I tend to hold a lot of unpopular opinions so I can think of a few games I love that everyone seems to hate. Final Fantasy 4 the After Years, Final Fantasy 2, Lightning Returns, Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass, Twilight Princess and I hold a soft spot for Metroid Other M and Sonic 06 even if I can fully admit to them being bad games.
  12. I believe I saw an article the other day saying Square has plans to try really pushing Dragon Quest in the West. Probably because the success of Bravely Default and Bravely Second reassured them people actually like traditional RPGs. I've only played Dragon Quest 1 but I still liked it even if I'm told it's not one of the better ones so I hope it works out.
