I'm currently working on the concept of a Fire Emblem SD Remake through FE7. Since as far as I'm aware Burning Legacy is a cancelled project so the "market" of re/demaking FE11 is still there, and I came up with many ideas of my own to bring the idea to life.
The main thing I'm doing at the moment is writing/editing support conversations especially for the characters I created by combining characters that I felt were redundant. For example I combined the characters Roshea and Vyland into Royland who basically serves the role of the bottom of the Wolfguard and essentially has most of Roshea's personality with a few details I could apply from Vyland to create a more fleshed out character. (Similarly Dolph and Macellan into Dollan who again is more fleshed out or at least unique by combining the two character's characteristics.) Still trying to figure out how/and/or/if I need to shove Bord and Cord together as I can't remember if they really were significant outside serving as the Axe Trio alongside Barst. (Even if I did combine them, there is no catchy name for them... Cobord?)
Other characters I'm bringing to life by essentially giving them unique classes or classes different from their own. For example Minerva and Michalis are Wyvern Lords and the only ones in the games. (All other enemies are Wyvern Knights and Caeda + Whitewings all promote to Falco Knights.) Hardin is given exclusive access to the Great Knight class as I feel that accurate reflects his Emperor class to come in FE12. Maria is made a Troubadour to give her more variation from the other healers rather than just being a lesser Lena replacement if you lose her. Other characters are given similar treatment, and growths are altered for other characters to help promote their differences (Or create differences in case they weren't anything special to begin with.)
I'm still working out ideas to breath life into the game while also trying to minimize the requirement to really CREATE something outside of the resources and maps. (I'm not a master editor, so the idea of making custom classes and other features is a bit daunting, but I may tackle it... we'll see.)

Your patch is an empty file. only the ups header, with the checksum for the new rom and old rom being the same. did you use your edited rom as the base for the patch? you need to use a clean fe8 rom as a base rom.
EDIT: also, upload a patch as a .ups, for easiness of reckognizing what it is.

FE2 is an event inspired(some would say copied) by FEE3 which I will host on my youtube channel, which will showcase the currently ongoing hacks you will submit to me, so you can get exposure, or just show off your hack. how it will work is that you will submit a patch/exe(if FEXP) of your hack to me before the deadline, and it will get played sometime between the 28th and the 3rd of june!
What Can I submit?
You can submit any FE fangame you made, as long as it is related to FE, and/or is made using the GBAFE engine, or FEXP.(or if you're part of the cool kids, FEXNA.)
You don't need your fangame to be finished/released at the same time it gets showcased, you can submit only small demos if you want.
When's the deadline?
May 20th 2018 is the deadline for submissions. then, 2 weeks later, I will upload the videos of the submissions I got being played, and showcased. as of now, I am the only host for showcasing the fangames, although I may have more hosts later on to help me record submissions/diversify the videos.

I would prefer it if you put in the thread here as a reply what you would want to submit, using this format.(of course, you are not forced to do that, you can just pm your submission to me whenever you can.)

Been a while since the last update, heh? I've got an ingame mug credit menu done, so I thought I might as well show off the current portraits.(cain is being reworked atm, that's why he's broken.)

The maps of the first 6 chapters are inserted, and a very rough draft for chapter 6's events has been done.

Trying to make chapter 1's enemies more different, so you can't just steamroll with marf and the cavs.
Making skills into their own stat screen page, and showing the skill names next to the skills' icons.
Chapter 2 is fully done eventing-wise.

Heyo! You may reckognize me from this thread, where I'm making an FE1 remake. however, I have a problem.
The problem I'm currently facing is that while I am a decent enough coder to make all my stuff work on the technical part, I do not have nearly enough artistic skills. therefore, I am looking for artist who would be willing to make maps/animations, but most importantly. halfbodies.

Glad you asked! Remember when I said I was a decent enough coder? well, I used those decent enough skills to expand the max mug size!
and so, I am looking for spriters who would be willing to sprite in that format.
Here's my expanded hackbox, everything's the same except for the green-yellowish part, which is the body part, that is allowed to use a second 16 colors palette.(so in total, a halfbody can use 32 colors.)
here's an example halfbody, abel, by the talented Der The Vaporeon. this should help you, if you couldn't guess what each part on the hackbox was.
But... Where do I submit my finished art assets?
On our dev discord, we have a spreadsheet showing all of the claimed/finished halfbodies, and who made them. so please join the discord to keep yourself updated on if the character you want to sprite has already been claimed/made.

We're going to take shadow dragon's script, and edit it a bit to make it feel different.

we're debating over adding in the prologue, but I can definitely tell you the gaiden chapters will be in, albeit the requirements for unlocking them will be different.

I didnt read through all this, but even then, I know the game only saves 7 supports for units, and stores 7 bytes for support level in the character struct, so expanding them would imply relocating/expanding those data, which would be quite the struggle.

Nobody will want to help your hack if you don't show some sort of progress. and usually, the project leader is the main hacker, if you ask someone to hack your concept for you, they usually will refuse. try to learn hacking, at least, it's really easy nowadays(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_HeNcLc6Jk), and If you ever get stuff done, post screenshots here, and people will be willing to help you. right now, it just feels like i'm looking at void, no offense.

FEBuilder can basically do anything the other tools can. sometimes, it's worse at doing things that some tools, but it gets the job done, and is very easy to use for a begginer.

Animations take a huge amount of time and effort to make. If you wanted to commission someone to make an animation, you'd have to spend much more than 1$(unless you meant inserting the animation, and not spriting it).
