  1. It seems the extend list button is missing on that screen. I'll tell 7743 to add it in the future. in the mean-time, if you're hacking FE8, you can replace chapter 0x3B and 0x3C, as those are unused debug chapters. EDIT: If you're hacking FE7, chapter 0x42 is another debug chapter you can replace.
  2. For some reason, instead of loading the actual adress for the item table(which I assume febuilder gets by getting the pointer from the GetItemRomStruct function), it loaded 0x0. So, unless the creator of master version really didn't want people to hack his hack and moved said function, I'm pretty sure this is an febuilder glitch, you should report it to 7743 on the Fire Emblem Universe FEBuilderGBA thread: http://feuniverse.us/t/fe-builder-gba/2845
  3. With nightmare, no. You could use ram editing(https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/gba/468480-fire-emblem/faqs/31542) to change her class, though. You would find her slot by going into the stat screen for yout first character then scrolling down until you find lyn.
  4. Did you patch the ups on a clean FE8U rom using NUPS? If you try to open the ups in an emulator directly, It wont work, because upses are a type of patch. the reason we distribute patches is because roms are illegal to distribute on this site.
  5. FEBuilder is basically better FEditor, at that point, as it has much more features than it, abd is an all in one editor, and only breaks half as much. You can find it on feuniverse.us, or here.

  7. Considering how FE4 promotions don't reset your levels, it would at first seem much harder to do than on, say, gbafe, but it's probably doable if you take the time to learn snes asm and decopher the machine code to then edit it and make it do 3 promotions.

The ultimate tutorial is highly outdated, there are now much better tools to use, such as FEBuilderGBA(http://feuniverse.us/t/fe-builder-gba/2845) That are basically all-in-one editors that can do everything feditor+nightmare could but in much more efficient/timesaving/easy ways. I'd suggest you try using FEbuilder for a while, mess around with stuff until you get an hang of it.
  15. Probably unrelated to your problem, but in those events END_Main should be ENDA.
  16. Your efforts wouldn't be wasted, you'd still have made stuff, and all you'd need to do then is port it to fexna, but core stuff such as characters, maps, and graphics would be made.
  17. You can do just about anything you want with romhacking, If you take the time to learn.
  18. Step 1: download EA(at least 10.0)(search for it on feuniverse.us) Step 2: paste that code i posted into a Text File Step 3: Open ea, select the text file you just made for the "text" box, and your rom for the rom box, then hit assemble.
  19. I'm not the one in charge of this subforum, I assume either primefusion or ghast will add your hack to the list whenever they see this.
  20. I made a fix for this, here's the Event assembler source: PUSH ORG 0xBA30 WORD 0x203ED40 ORG 0xBA54 WORD 0x203ED40 ORG 0xFA34 WORD 0x203ED40 ORG 0xD5B80 WORD 0x203ED40 POP this repoints the unit loading buffer to not overwrite the debuff table.
  21. This thread has a "progressing rom hacks" section, so as long as your hack has a release, it can go there.
