  1. So im playing Maniac mode, and only save scum a level up if they get nothing from it. Only had to reload once for rolf, and his strength is 24... at sniper level 3. Now his skill and speed are average but that doesnt mean anything in the face of the pure carnage that is Rolf roflstomping crap into the ground with almost maxed str. Level 3 Rolf 33/24/4/19/18/13/13/10 I just wanted to post to share the laugh i had when i looked on the main website and found out his str cap was 25. Also screw chapter 17 part 4. freaking Hawk king stole the kill on the unit who had Adept causing me to have to reset. Another time I got Boyd killed from overextending.
  2. >.>. Thank god i save stated at turn 18 then. And it looks like im done using gamefaqs.com as a source for this.... that info is nowhere to be found .
  3. So... topic. I talked to every prisoner and opened every chest on Chapter 10 and for Chapter 11 i cant deploy Neph or Brom. At the end of chpt 10 there was some dialogue with Sephiran and Volke but nothing with the other two. I know for a fact i talked to them. My turn count was close to 30 because i made 100 percent sure i did. Is there something im missing? do they show up randomly in the middle of chpt 11? Im playing maniac mode, and i missed the recruitment of Marcia not sure if those two things change anything. Please dont tell me missing Marcia is it, ill cry. i forgot to talk with her with Ike back in chpt 3 and didnt notice till her chapter. edit: this is Path of Radiance. Im tired, and very annoyed with this atm.
  4. Wow thanks for all the actually helpful suggestions! I've actually never had Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn recommended in any fashion and was actually advised by a friend to actively avoid Radiant dawn... opinions man. I was eyeballing Genealogy of the Holy war but wasn't positive because of the translation woes that seems to surround its patch Now that im reading this thread, i see that the story is split a little more cleanly than i thought. as long as you stay within the path, ie Tellius, Archanea etc i should be okay in terms of keeping with the story? Path/Dawn seems like a good starting point from here, and from the looks of it it explains more of the "story" elements of awakenings (I see Crimea on its maps, is it the same one thats talked about in Awakening?) and ill have to give FE7/6 a look over, one glance at Hector Hard mode looks fun. Thanks once again for all the helpful replies!
  5. Hello all, first time poster, been lurking around for a while same ole thing... I got into the Fire Emblem series sometime in march of last year and i have been rather hooked on it ever since. I started with Awakening and i had a great time with it (started on classic/hard, was a good time) loved me some Donnel, Henry, Gaius, and Owain. and all the grinding. Love me some grinding. After that i played Sacred stones ( i have a friend who REALLY likes Sacred stones) loved the trainees L'Arachel and Tana, found the story to be less full of holes but found it to be easy (though, i cant remember if i played it on normal or Hard) Moved to Fire Emblem Fates didnt really care for the story much, but loved the banter between characters, the challenge of Conquest classic/hard and Revelations classic/lunatic, and Effie in general (pun intended) as well as a grounded Hinoka (The Spearmaster class with a Guard Naginata was a bit broken tho) Now I'm trying to figure out where to go from here. There are a lot of opinions out there, and I'm asking for more but maybe ill get somewhere. For me BIrthrights story was so bad, i almost got burnt out on the series all together but i find that i still love this type of game and would like to continue. So, which one should I at least start with, something with a decent plot with either an option for difficulty or with difficulty baked in with at least a few eccentric and/or trainee-like characters? Considering I've only played 3 out of 14? my eyes are spinning at reading though each game.
